Number 26
Steve calls round to take the dogs for a walk and runs into Didge and Declan. He enquires how her wrist is (a bit tender) and she explains the absence of wearing a sling for it because at 8 months pregnant "it makes me look like the Sydney to Hobart yacht race!" Bronte escapes before the leash is on so he quickly departs to catch the dog, bypassing Rebecca as she enters.
The kids make themselves scared when she takes a call - its Paul to say his lead on the Ramsay kids' father has fallen through. Just as he is about to tell her something else, Declan comes through to see if she wants coffee, which forces her pretend she is talking to someone else but she does manage to say that he needs to come back because she has new information. Paul has a new lead too - an overseas one and his flight leaves that afternoon and when she pushes him, he is forced to say he isn't coming back but does tell her where he is flying from because he wants to see her before leaving.
Number 28
Donna is trying to rope Ringo and Zeke into redecorating #22 after the fire. They aren't exactly jumping for joy and she drags the newly arrived Sunny away instead to talk about paint samples.
Number 24
Toadie is trying to get Kate to acknowledge that Sophie may have seen the accident and so her testimony is going to be vital but Kate isn't listening. Both aren't impressed when Rebecca appears to say that if Sophie wasn't there how would she know the colour of the Ute? That still doesn't sway Kate and indeed she calls Rebecca sick for what she perceives is Rebecca trying to help her boyfriend.
Number 26
Rebecca sits and looks at the name of the airfield Paul is leaving from but is forced to hide it in her bag when Declan appears. He's correctly guessed she was talking to Paul and Rebecca explains what Paul wants her to do and also that she's been trying to bully Sophie into showing the police her drawing. When she leaves to go make a cuppa, Declan goes into her handbag and finds the piece of paper with the airfield on it that Paul is going to be leaving from.
Ramsay Street
Didge invites herself on the journey to the Northern Planes Airfield when she manages to get out of Declan where he was going and that Rebecca's call was from Paul, who Rebecca won't grass up to the police because she still loves him.
Northern Planes Airfield
Didge and Declan arrive at the airfield to find out that it's too late - Paul has already left.
Harold's Store
The other teens arrive at the store and Donna asks Steve if she's seen Didge lately (he hasn't) and he asks if there is a problem. Zeke replies on behalf of Ringo (who still isn't allowed to talk) that there is because Donna has taken them to look at paint charts.
Steve leaves and Donna threatens to call Sunny's parents and tell them about the real Zeke (it came up earlier at #28 that Sunny had told her parents about dating Zeke although the face told a different story) and jokes with Sunny about how many lies she's already told her parents about him! Sunny tells them what she told her parents - that Zeke was a really amazing guy, which surprises Donna because Sunny's parents sound hard core. Reluctantly she adds that she also said Zeke was smart, gets good grades, is loyal, kind and caring towards his family and friends and that he treated her with total respect. Zeke loves how he is being described until she adds the last bit - that he'd be a wonderful father and husband!
DONNA: Wow, you really went to town.
Kate then comes in looking for Sophie who has gone AWOL again and the teens suggest possible places, the most likely being the community gardens. Zeke tells Ringo to draw a map and Donna explains (while putting her foot in it) that he can't talk due to the smoke he breathed in during the fire, which causes Kate to glower at her before she leaves after getting the map from Ringo.
Road somewhere
Declan has car troubles as they head back to Erinsborough and Didge sets off to get help since there is no phone coverage and he's in a mood. He decides to go with her when he sees Didge is going to go regardless and also because she had a Braxton-hick contraction.
Number 26
Toadie is round to try and persuade Rebecca to tell him where Paul is and she tells him its too late - it's past 1pm so Paul has left the country. He is not amused to be finding this out and just as he is about to tell the police all he knows, Paul walks into the livingroom. "I decided it wasn't worth it" he tells them before a relived Rebecca goes over to hug him.
Commercial break over, Paul explains what changed his mind - Rebecca when she didn't show up at the airport because he couldn't go through with it. Toadie is unamused by that too!
TOADIE: Aww, isn't this lovely? Now all we have to do is convince a judge that you doing a runner isn't an act of guilt and then we can all live happily ever after! Woohoo!
Rebecca then tells Paul that she thinks Sophie witnessed the accident but Paul wants her left alone because she (and the other kids) been through enough. He then announces that he's going to turn himself in once he's found and brought him back personally their father (he's in the Philippines) and asks Toadie for two more days.
Church
Didge and Declan take shelter from the rainstorm in a church and ask to use a phone since their mobiles still aren't in range. "No room at the inn hey" jokes the lady but they don't get it. Turns out the lady is the organist and she offers to let them use the phone at her house (the vestry one is locked up and she doesn't have the key) once the storm has past and invites them to listen to her practicing to pass the time.
Number 26
Toadie and Rebecca debate in the kitchen whether or not to report Paul - and finally he decides on the 'I was never here' approach.
Number 28
Zeke arrives a second or two after the others get back to tell Ringo they have to leave to go and help Declan. I think Ringo is secretly relived to be getting away from Donna and her paint charts and eventually she comes to that conclusion too.
DONNA: (shaking her finger) No-one avoids Donna Freedman!
Ramsay Street
Just as the boys are getting comfy in Toadie's car, the now talking Ringo (he was keeping quiet to avoid talking to Donna about redecorating) and Zeke (still stunned from the 'good father and husband' comment Sunny made) receive a couple of visitors for the journey - Donna (who is unimpressed at getting the 'silent' treatment from Ringo) and Sunny who'd sneaked into the car through the dodgy back door while they were talking!
Church
Didge chats to the organist (she was telling Didge about how she came close to getting married) while they wait for Declan to return from getting her some water. "He's a keeper that one" she tells Didge as she trades places with the now arrived Declan.
Didge then has a brainwave - she wants Declan to marry her... right now!
