Recap
Lou learning that Sienna has a ticket to go to Rome to see Rosie and Frazer and baby Marco.
Lou introducing Logan to Sienna, hoping that they'll get together and Sienna will stay.
Steve feeling ill, and collapsing with stomach pains at the gym, dropping his mobile phone.
Number 26
Miranda is leaving a message on Steve's voicemail reminding him to pick up her and Didge for the team barbecue. Nicola seems unnecessarily worried about Steve being ill, and Didge clicks that her aunt seems a bit too interested. Miranda is annoyed with Steve, guessing he's probably off with his friends somewhere, but Nicola wonders if it's to do with her; maybe he's gone off somewhere because she's living there now.
Didge thinks Nicola's idea is stupid, and Miranda makes the decision that she and Didge will go to the team barbecue without Steve. As they leave, Nicola comments that she hopes he's okay.
With the house empty of people, Nicola rushes to the fridge hunting for the leftover lasagne which has gone. Callum and Mickey come in and see Nicola behaving rather erratically over the missing lasagne.
The Dingoes Den
Miranda and Didge come in, calling for Steve, and Miranda wonders if he has indeed run off... Bridget confesses that she and Steve did have a row this morning over Ringo being made captain of the team, and over Nicola. Miranda assures her daughter that it won't have made her dad run off.
They catch sight of Steve's bag, with his wallet and keys still in it, and wonder if he's gone to the hospital. They leave the gym, without seeing Steve's body.
The General Store
Susan is writing her footy article and Rebecca is helping. Miranda and Bridget come in all stressed, wondering if they've seen Steve, but they haven't.
Carmella comes over with coffees on the house, and they all notice that Logan and Sienna have made up at another table.
CARMELLA: Lou's doing.
SUSAN: Lou's?
CARMELLA: Can't you see his wings and his little bow and arrow? He's Cupid.
REBECCA: Oh. Now I'm getting a very disturbing image.
Carmella explains that Lou being the catalyst for Logan and Sienna's relationship is to stop Sienna from going overseas, when Sienna comes over and announces that she and Logan are both going to Italy to see Rosie and Frazer.
Lou is gutted.
Number 26
Nicola is pacing when Miranda comes home, wondering if Steve's okay. Miranda has no idea; they found his bag in the gym, though. Miranda's worried that she's pushed Steve away, and Nicola goes into self-deprecation mode again. They hug, and Miranda tells her sister she's pleased she's here for her.
NICOLA: Panda? I love you.
Miranda goes to freshen up, and Nicola grabs the gym keys and her handbag, and legs it out the house. She runs to the dustbin, and has a change of heart, running to the Kennedys' bin instead, and smuggles something into it, presumably the cheese (laced with something?).
Callum springs her, and Nicola flips out, telling him not to sneak up on people. She then apologises, and asks him not to say anything as her bin was full. She asks him not to tell anyone, and Cal invites her to play a computer game, but she crossly says no - some other time.
The Dingoes Den
At the gym, Nicola finds the lasagne lunchbox and packs it into her handbag. Then she hears a mobile ringing and follows it...it's Steve's mobile, and Steve himself, collapsed on the floor. She tries to wake him up, and says it was an accident. She takes his mobile, and goes to call for an ambulance but can't bring herself to do it, so she sits by his body, crying.
Outside the Den, Didge and Zeke have come to find some clues as to where Steve is. Zeke realises that the club is unlocked and they go in. Inside the gym, Didge finds her dad on the floor, and Zeke immediately calls for an ambulance. Nicola hides behind a wall, out of sight, and crying.
Erinsborough Hospital
Miranda arrives to see Didge and Zeke, and Karl tells them that he's in a serious condition, but stable. They don't know what's wrong with him, and his blood pressure was dangerously low. Karl promises to tell them when he knows something.
The General Store
Little Brat Mickey is telling Toadie that Miranda and Steve let him eat ice cream and chocolate sauce ever afternoon, so he'd like some, please. Actually, he doesn't say please because the kid has no manners. Toadie refuses the ice cream.
Mickey stroppily says it's not fair. It's perfectly fair, kiddo, you can't always have what you want - especially since you're lying to get it. Tough. Lou serves Toadie, Mickey and Callum drinks, all upset because Sienna's going off to Italy.
"What Now My Friend" is playing in the background - it's ages since we heard that one!
Toad notices that Callum's upset, and he explains that Nicola lied about the Parkers' bin - it wasn't full at all, and he couldn't find what she'd hidden in the Kennedys' bin, so she must have put it under the other rubbish. Toadie starts to get interested, and Callum explains that his mother used to lie to him and hide stuff when she was sick (because of drugs) and he's upset. He doesn't want Nicola to be upset. Toadie promises to check up on her for him.
Number 26
Toadie has come over to see Nicola who tells him that Steve collapsed and is at hospital with Miranda.
Toadie tells her that Callum is worried about her, that she was acting eratically, and she gets all defensive about it, lying again that she leant on the Kennedys' bin to get some support when she had some fresh air.
Nicola's phone rings, and it's Miranda at the hospital; they haven't seen Steve yet. Miranda tells her sister that she'll have to get her own dinner - there's some leftover lasagne in the fridge. Nicola is all vague and asks what the doctors have said, wanting to know as soon as there's any change. Toadie watches Nicola in the background, suspicious.
Toadie asks Nicola how he is, and she replies that she doesn't know. She also needs to lie down and runs off to her room.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl lets Miranda and Bridget into Steve's room to see how he's doing. Karl says that they're fast tracking the tests, but they don't know what they're looking for. However, they do know the low blood pressure was due to gastro-intestinal bleeding. Karl thinks he may have accidentally ingested something which was highly toxic. Bridget's ears prick up. (Not literally.)
The General Store
Sienna is sorry she's going to miss the rest of the Dingoes' finals, but Rebecca says she'd rather be in Italy than here. Lou tries to discourage Sienna's leaving, and she doesn't get it.
Susan is still writing the article for Paul - she has to write a thousand words and she's already on three thousand, two hundred and fifteen. Rebecca thinks they can find some more words. Logan walks past and Rebecca comments that she wouldn't mind him whisking her off to Italy - and Susan's surprised that Bec's in the market for a toyboy!
Lou takes Logan aside and wants a word with him about the trip. Logan says he's just listening to his heart, but Lou thinks gallivanting around the world is a recipe for disaster. Lou explains to Sienna that he'll miss her lots, and she promises to be back. Oh, hurrah. Because she'll be so missed.
Erinsborough Hospital
Didge, trying the power of suggestion, asks her mother how Steve would have ingested something toxic. Miranda suspects a takeaway, but Bridget wonders if it was deliberate, but someone who has a grudge against him.
Miranda thinks of Pete Ferguson, but that's not what Didge meant. Toadie asks Zeke how he is, and Zeke wishes he could help some more. Bridget approaches Toadie and says that she think Nicola gave her dad something to make him sick.
MIRANDA: That's a revolting thing to say.
DIDGE: Mum, you saw what she was like this morning when she heard that dad was crook.
MIRANDA: She was concerned!
DIDGE: Mum, she was guilty.
Bridget thinks that Nicola is totally out of her tree, but Miranda defends her sister, saying she's been very ill. Toadie steps in - he was there when Miranda called Nicola earlier, and her reaction to Steve being ill wasn't normal. Toadie says Nicola was worried sick, yes, but not necessarily for Steve...
Toadie also adds that Callum saw Nicola put something in the Kennedys' bin, and then lied to him about it. He suggests that Miranda owes it to herself to at least ask some questions...
Ramsay Street
Outside number 26, Toadie offers to go in with Miranda, but she wants to do this herself.
MIRANDA: I'd really prefer there weren't any witnesses. Might make it easier for me to convince myself that I never did this.
What are you going to do? Kill her? (Please?)
TOADIE: You'll be okay.
MIRANDA: There's nothing okay about it.
Number 26
Inside the house, Nicola has washed up the offending lasagne container and is throwing it away, rather manically. Miranda comes in and Nicola explains she's cleaning. Miranda says she's home to pick some things up, and Nicola wants to know what's wrong with Steve - surely they know something by now?
Miranda says that it seems Steve has ingested some kind of toxic substance, but they don't know what.
MIRANDA: They say it mightn't have been an accident.
NICOLA: Someone did it deliberately?
MIRANDA: It's a possibility.
NICOLA: W... Who?
MIRANDA: Toadie suggested it might have been one of Pete Ferguson's cronies.
NICOLA: (relieved that Miranda doesn't think it's her) Yeah, well, he always said that he would get Steve, and he'd never admit it in a million years but you're right, it must be him!
Miranda is utterly horrified.
NICOLA: What?
MIRANDA: How do you remember Pete Ferguson?
NICOLA: (oops) What...
MIRANDA: You don't have amnesia. Steve was right.
NICOLA: Miranda...
MIRANDA: You put something in his food.
Oh! Damn cliffhanger! Will Nicola kill her sister? Will Miranda kill her sister? Will it be a case of fratricide? Dum dum dum...
