Recap
Pepper pushing Davo away; Adam jumping in to defend her.
Caleb asking Janelle if she had a son called Scott; Caleb telling Janelle he has Scott's heart.
Rosetta telling Pepper she doesn't know what stops Frazer from walking; Pepper telling Rosie that maybe it's because when he had his accident, they found true love, and he's worried that she'll leave him if he can walk again.
No 30 backyard where Rosetta has some Food For Thought
Rosie is insulted that Pepper believes Frazer would genuinely think that way; she insists that whatever it is that is stopping him walking is some sort of psychological thing from his past. Pepper insists that if it means Frazer can walk again then it's worth looking into.
The General Store where this Storyline holds No Water
Susan and Karl are animatedly showing Bree some pictures of Billy and Anne's little boy, Jackson. They are very proud grandparents. Bree doesn't feel the same way, and retorts that Kerry was a much cuter baby. Susan and Karl are horrified at the thought.
BREE: What? She was.
SUSAN: Did your mother put you up to that?
Talking of whom, Janelle walks in with Kerry in a pushchair, along with Sky. She runs the pushchair accidentally into Karl, and apologises; she's all over the place because she just got a letter from the guy who has Scott's heart. His name's Caleb, and he wants someone from the family to go and visit him in hospital.
Riiiiiight.
So. This is the Scotty who died *in* the street, right?? The Scotty whose organs would have been useless *because* he died in the street, right? The Scotty who wasn't on life support so wouldn't have been a suitable donor, right?? The one who's next of kin would have had to give permission for her son's organs to be used (had he not died in the street, and therefore not had useless organs) - and therefore would have had some idea about the possibility of someone contacting her???
Karl is shocked that the donee (is that a word?) would be able to get hold of Janelle's address, and Harold is concerned for her. Janelle says she can't see him again, but Bree offers to go, and Sky says she'll go, too. Sky also asks Boyd to attend, but Janelle instructs Boyd to stay away from her family.
Backyard of No 30 where it all Goes A Bit Wrong
Pepper and Rosie are still sunbathing, and Frazer is doing some wedding stuff. He doesn't engage in much conversation with Rosie, even though she tries. Adam leans over the fence and with a British accent which doesn't even sound real for someone who's British, says "hey handsome" to Pepper. Who is mightily annoyed.
He says that he's working at Steph's, and - holding up a plug on a wire that points up to the sky - wonders if he can please plug his extension cord in at their place. Pepper give a look that could kill. Adam flops the wire and plug towards the ground.
ADAM: Or not.
He eyes up Pepper as he leaves. Rosetta can't believe that's the guy who rescued her, and Pepper declares she doesn't need rescuing, thank you very much. Rosie thinks he seems nice enough and is obscenely good looking - and he's also polite and gallant - he's just the rugged father type that Pepper has been looking for!
Pepper says she's doing fine by herself, and she's not flustered over him at all! No, really! Music starts blaring out from the garden next door. Pepper wonders what it is.
ROSIE: That would be music for perfect, hot, strong blokes to do macho things to!
Frazer hears her, and says Rosie's right - he sounds perfect. Frazer says he has to make some calls and Rosie looks upset that Frazer heard her.
The General Store where Kerry is Cute
Boyd and Sky sit together. Janelle sits at another table with Kerry, staring at Boyd with utter disdain. Boyd apologises to Sky at first, but then realises he's not taking it any more, and he marches over to Janelle. He tells her that she's right about the way he treated Janae - they were married too young, he was wrong to cheat, but it doesn't make him a monster. He put his neck on the line so Sky can have a life with Kerry, and she should cut him some slack for that.
Bree asks to have Boyd at the hospital with her.
KERRY: Goya goya goya goya goya goya goya.
Backyard of No 32 where Pepper is all Het Up
Steph and Toadie are picnicking. Adam puts a ladder about 2 foot up the side of the house. Steph wonders how Toadie feels relaxing whilst another guy does all the hard work.
TOADIE: Do you think I need manual labour to feed manly? I'm telling you, I got a beer in one hand, my chick in the other whilst some schmuck does all the hard work. I know who the alpha male is around here, thank you very much.
(Looks at his hands)
TOADIE: I think I need a manicure.
Pepper and Rosie march over. Pepper says Adam must be thick to not realise how loud his music is, and turns it off. She says that in the normal world, people respect their neighbours.
Adam turns the music back on.
Pepper turns it off.
Adam doesn't think it's the music getting her steamed up. He asks her to dinner so she can stop inventing reasons to jump around in front of him. Scarlet Bar at six. He turns the music back on.
Adam snatches the radio away.
Pepper strops off.
Erinsborough Hospital where Bree Rocks
Sky, Boyd and Bree are here to see Caleb, but he's not in his room. They decide to wait.
BREE: So, Boyd, how crazy was Charlotte on a scale of One to Tom Cruise?
Bree says she needs to know these things - she can't be a writer and hold a mirror up to their lives, otherwise.
SKY: "The Bogan's Tipped Hair" was a mirror to our lives?
BREE: It's a romantic escapism, tapped into a universal sense of disenchantment with contemporary suburban life.
SKY: Okay, now who's the psycho?
Boyd says she's the only person who's had the guts to ask him, and he doesn't mind. But Caleb appears, and Bree and Sky freak out a bit.
Ramsay Street where Susan is Flowerfied
Harry and Susie are talking about flowers and water restrictions. Susan complains that the other night she saw a woman who'd left her sprinklers on. Outrageous. The turn the corner to see Janelle taking pictures of Kerry. Which would be okay, except that Janelle has dressed Kerry in a huge flower outfit so that her head is the middle of the flower. And she's also in a flower pot. With real flowers.
Harry coughs.
JANELLE: It's not what it looks like.
HARRY: It looks like you're exploiting my great-granddaughter for some sort of baby competition.
JANELLE: Alright, it is what it looks like.
Janelle takes Kerry out of the flower pot, and declares it's just a bit of fun. Susan looks highly amused, and starts making cute faces and mouthing words at Kerry.
HARRY: It may as well be a dog show. Honestly.
Harold asks if Susan agrees, and she promptly stops mouthing at Kerry.
SUSAN: Oh, oh...yes. Yes, it's very...tacky. And very, very exploitative...too.
Susan gives in, running to Kerry beaming with delight.
SUSAN: Ohohohohoh! Doesn't she look like a little flower!?!? You do! You do!!!
Harold rolls his eyes. He also doesn't think that Sky will appreciate it. Janelle defends her actions - all her kids were in baby competitions. Oh except Dylan who turned out okay, but was a rough looking kid.
HAROLD: It's demeaning!
JANELLE: And profitable.
Janelle also wants to cheer up Sky. She puts a giant puffy flower upside down on Harry's head.
HAROLD: Hmmm...ah.
Erinsborough Hospital where it's A Bit Weird
Caleb is telling them about his accident - he was in a car smash. He admits that he has a mate who works at the hospital who pulled some strings to get Janelle's address. Bree is upset. Caleb knows he was selfish, and he wanted to make some sense of all this. Sky tells Caleb that this is all a bit weird, and she thanks him for contacting them.
The Scarlet Bar where Pepper isn't an English Teacher
Steph tells Toadie that 'Thorn' has topped her score on the bike machines at the bar. She's furious. She reminds Toadie of when someone reported her to the council for noise - maybe he is guilty of this, too? She chases him into the kitchen.
Rosie and Pepper are talking about Steiger being back, but Rosie's not listening - she wants to sort things out with Frazer. Adam comes in, and is pleased to see that Pepper's keen, being an hour and a half early.
PEPPER: I am here with a friend. And the thought of having dinner with you is just...vomitatious.
ADAM: Fair enough.
Adam leaves.
ROSIE: Vomitatious?
Pepper says she couldn't think of anything else. Steph chases Toadie out of the kitchen, through the bar and out the door.
Erinsborough Hospital where Caleb Pushes It
Caleb asks what Scott was into - they tell him he liked skating, making movies. He tells them that he's into art, too. Sky admits that she went to art school, until her baby came along.
Bree, Boyd and Sky have to leave, and Caleb calls Sky back - he thanks her, and asks her if they could hang out again sometime?
The General Store where Susan is Disappointed
Toadie is sitting between Janelle and Susan, and suggests he needs to get out before Steph chases him back to the bar. Janelle immediately gets out her camera so he can see her photos. Susan gets her pictures of Jackson out. Toadie looks at the Kerry pictures, and Susan is all disappointed that he doesn't want to look at hers. Aw. Poor Susie.
Toadie scarpers, and walks past Boyd, Bree and Sky on the way out. Boyd decides not to stay, and Bree and Sky update Janelle on the hospital visit. Caleb is a good person, and Stingray did a really good thing.
Janelle hands Sky the camera to look at more photos. Susan tries to show the Jackson pictures, but they're having none of it. Susan is all gutted again!
SKY: Excuse me, Janelle - is that a giant flower around my Kerry's head?
HAROLD: Yes it is.
SKY: Oh that is so tacky.
HAROLD: Isn't it.
Sky thinks that of course Kerry will win, now. She loves the pictures.
The Scarlet Bar where laxatives are The Next Thing
Frazer joins Pepper and Rosie at their table, having purchased drinks. Adam takes the drinks over for him. Rosetta asks him how the wedding stuff went, but he has to go - he has more to do.
On his way out, he wheels into Karl who has run in to see Susan.
KARL: I can't stop. I've gotta go to the casino on the company card.
SUSAN: Oh Karl, what about dinner?
KARL: I'll get something there. I'm meeting the pharmacist from Eden Hills; he could very big for us in laxatives.
Janelle thinks Susan misses hippy Karl; Susan says she doesn't miss the smell or beard or vest! She'd like a mix of the old and new Karl!
Boyd and Sky sit at another table, and Boyd wonders about Sky hanging out with Caleb; Sky says there's something there, and she wants to look into it. Boyd thinks Caleb's the latest lame duck that Sky's going to take care of.
SKY: Oooh, ouch. I hate talking to you. You know me way too well.
Sky retorts that Boyd always has to be the knight in shining armour.
Toadie and Steph are on the bike games machines, and Steph realises that Toadie isn't Thorn. Boyd comes over and takes over Toadie's turn, and they begin to realise that he's pretty good.
Backyard of the Timminseseses where Bree is Sad
Bree waters Scott's tree. Susie comes up behind her. Bree says that she's been telling Scotty about her day; it was strange - she trusted Caleb straight away just because he had Scotty's heart. He could be a freak or a liar.
Susan says she doesn't know. And trusting the way that Bree does and Scott did is a rare thing, and she shouldn't go changing it. She hugs Bree.
SUSAN: You stay just the way you are.
BREE: You always say the best things.
The Scarlet Bar where Pepper Flounders
Rosie goes to leave. Pepper wants to go with her, but Rosie reminds her she has a date.
PEPPER: With he-man? Ugh. He's so not my type.
ROSIE: (with American accent) Oh my God! You like, *like* him like him - you should totally ask me to ask one of his friends to ask him if he likes you too! Or (puts on normal accent) - you could have a real grown-ups conversation.
Rosie tells Pepper she has a spark with Adam - she shouldn't lose it. Rosetta leaves, and Pep approaches Adam.
PEPPER: Obviously there's something between us. But I'm not all that sure about you, yet. Sure, you're really good looking, and you've got that nice smile, and that accent and......those arms and stuff. But I've had a really rough trot lately. So you'd better be as perfect as you look or else.
ADAM: Er, or else what?
PEPPER: ...
ADAM: I thought so. Look, erm...
PEPPER: Pepper.
ADAM: Pepper. Cute. Adam.
PEPPER: Adam, yes.
ADAM: I like you. You're a bit insane, but I like you.
PEPPER: You like me, like me?
ADAM: What?
PEPPER: Er, nothing. Go on.
ADAM: I don't like being told how it's gonna be. And what's all this stuff about being as perfect as I look? So, take me as I am, or nothing. Cheers.
PEPPER: ...
Erinsborough Hospital where it's Odd
Sky and Kerry go to see Caleb. She tells him that Scott saved her life, too.
She says that she's planning a mural to commemorate Scott's life - perhaps Caleb could contribute some of his graffiti work? Caleb says he'd love to. Sky takes his bag for him.
Number 30 where Frazer's caught Bree's Sadness
Pep comes home and slams the door, all frustrated. Frazer's in the kitchen and gives her a letter to give to Rosie.
Erinsborough Hospital where it's Odder
Sky asks Caleb about the car accident, and says it might help to talk. But Caleb tells her that once she knows, she won't want to know him.
Number 30 where Rosie's Caught It Too
Pep hands Rosie Frazer's letter - she looks at it for all of one second and then announces that he's gone to sort his head out, but he doesn't say where or when he'll be back. Quick reading, girl. He apparently can't plan a future with Rosie until he's sorted himself out. Rosie thinks that Pepper's right - she's the one who's stopping him from walking, and he's left her.
