Recap
Fox giving Paul a choice - the pills (money) or keys (death).
Ollie admitting to Elle he is falling in love with her too.
Ringo admitting to Zeke he'll need to find a better angle in the romance stakes for Rachel.
Paul collapsing.
Outside
Paul comes to and gets out his mobile to summon help but he is too disorientated to do so but he calls on some random passer-by to help him and hands over his mobile for her to dial to get help before Fox finds him.
Lassiter's
For once in her life, Elle is actually working when Ollie comes into the reception area and he volunteers to help to show that the bosses can pitch in (some of the staff are off sick) although Elle isn't looking exactly comfortable with the situation. Right enough, 2 seconds later Elle admits that she can't work with him after his confession and tells him to either tell Carmella or she will. Ollie apologises to her and agrees to tell Carmella before she sends him packing.
No. 28
Rachel is home alone and Ringo wastes no time in coming over...to watch DVD's, all mushy romantic films, to which Rachel is stunned to put it mildly. She obviously was thinking of other ways to spend their time!
No. 30
Carmella is surprised to see Zeke cleaning since it isn't his day until he explains Rachel has given him $10 to disappear. Zeke asks Carmella for love advice and she tells him about triangular gazing and puts it into action when Oliver comes home. He thanks her for the advice and promises to put it into action as he disappears. With Zeke away, Ollie wants to chat but Carmella heads off to cook him some food first even though he doesn't want anything.
Lassiter's
Zeke asks Elle for a job since he is after money to impress a girl (not Bree) who he says is his soul mate. He then starts going on about couples that are meant to be to show Elle that he is serious. When he mentions Oliver and Carmella's names she freaks out and gives him a job...waiting for the duty manager to relieve her when she suddenly departs.
Hospital
The doc gives Paul the news - he has to have the tumour removed immediately. Paul is freaking out and asks if he is going to die but the doc spells it out - without surgery he won't survive.
No. 30 backyard
Carmella presents Ollie with his food but he isn't hungry and wants to talk. He starts by saying that he loves her but before he can say more, Elle suddenly appears wanting Ollie's immediate help and he follows her while a bemused Carmella watches on.
No. 30
Elle pushes Ollie into the corridor and tells him that he doesn't need to tell Carmella about the kiss because the two of them are good and why spoil a good thing. Good plan in theory Elle but unknown to them, Ringo has heard some of their conversation in the livingroom. Oops.
No. 28
Rachel is miffed when Zeke appears home given she paid Zeke to stay away but the reason for him coming home becomes apparent when Lolly arrives looking for Zeke. While Rachel sends Zeke into his room to get a dictionary, she pleads with Lolly to get her brother out of the house so she can spend time with Ringo. She also mentions to Lolly that she wishes the old Ringo would return too. Lolly agrees and when Zeke returns, he misinterprets Lolly looking at his face ala Carmella's gazing triangle (when in reality she is looking at him because he has got ink on his face) to ask if she'd like to go for a swim and Rachel can't push the pair of them out the door quick enough!
Lucky she pushed them out because two seconds later arrives and she isn't in the mood for watching DVD's but Ringo has a serious look on his face and tells her he just wants to talk about what he has just seen. Rachel is not impressed!
No. 30
Lolly is surprised at being led into No. 30 when they were supposed to be going swimming but Zeke's plans are ruined when Carmella arrives home but Lolly is relived and does a runner. Zeke is gushing to Carmella about her triangle gazing theory isn't when she shows him what is on his face.
ZEKE: Oh man, she wasn't triangle gazing; she was staring at me because I look like a lizard.
Zeke is feeling a wee bit disappointed but Carmella gives him a pep talk, urging him to go with his heart because that is the only way to go adding that his heart will beat quicker when he sees her...if she is the one because that is how it is for her and Ollie. Zeke departs happy and Ollie has a smile on his face too as he overheard the last bit of their conversation. He reveals himself to Carmella and both of their hearts must need slowing down as they begin to pash.
No. 28
Ringo has obviously told Rachel what he heard and asks her for advice, because he thinks Carmella has a right to know Ollie is cheating on her. Rach decides to remind him about not meddling in a relationship and that Elle said nothing happened. She also adds that being attracted to another person is alright at times, reminding him of his kiss with Lolly and how that didn't affect their relationship and decides the time is right to mention that she prefers him being a guy with an edge instead of the new age sensitive guy and they have a kiss to celebrate.
Hospital
Paul jumps when Fox pays him a visit and is puzzled by his change of heart when he tells Paul that he is cool about him remaining in hospital. Paul then begins to tell Fox about the risk of the operation but stops mid-flow, demanding to know what Fox knows. Fox tells him that he overheard his doctor talking with a colleague and that removing the tumour is going to leave him like a vegetable. Paul asks him what is he supposed to do, he doesn't have a choice but Fox gives him one - going home with him and spending what time there is left with him and his dignity.
The General Store
Zeke catches up with Lolly and mentions the ink on his face and that he put it there deliberately but by Lolly's actions she doesn't really care. He then mentions his new job - personal assistant to Elle but again, she doesn't really care, changing the conversation to the blogzene instead. Biting the bullet as she is leaving the store, Zeke asks her out on a date to the cinema and she agrees. He leaves to get a drink just as Rachel and Ringo arrive. Both waste no time in telling their respective mate and while Zeke is excited, Lolly is the total opposite.
They depart and Ringo and Rachel discuss "the date" and she tells him Lolly is only going because she has nothing else to do. Rachel wants to rush after them to rescue Zeke but Ringo stops her as Zeke has to find out the hard way or he may never forgive Rachel.
Paul's pad
Fox settles Paul onto the sofa and asks him to fetch his phone so he can call Elle. Fox is feeling a bit put out and thinks Paul is doing to drop him, which he confirms by telling him that he doesn't want to see him anymore but not that he isn't grateful for the help he has been.
Lassiter's
Ollie and Carmella pay the hotel a visit to collect some paperwork and Elle gives it to him straight - that the hotel isn't big enough for the two of them and tells him to find another hotel in the Barnes Empire to work in. Carmella is happy at Elle's decision even if Ollie isn't and asks that they wish her luck as she goes to see her dad.
No. 30
The lovers are home and Carmella is now beginning to be puzzled by Elle's actions and asks if it is because she is having trouble working with him. Ollie flatly denies it but Carmella thinks there is a problem - Elle's crush on him. He tries to make a joke of it but Carmella lets it be known that Elle told her weeks ago, and is rightly puzzled as to why she is only mentioning it now. She explains that she didn't think there was anything in it then and that she felt sorry for Elle and asks if he loves her like she does him. "Of course I do," replies an unconvincing Ollie, which Carmella picks up on and she demands to know what is going on.
Paul's pad
Paul wakes up started and confused, so Fox reminds him that he is at home and breaks the news to Paul that he phoned Elle but she didn't want anything to do with him, allegedly saying he can rot in hell. Paul doesn't believe him and tries to barge past him to get his phone but Fox asks if he'd lie to him just as Elle knocks on the door to the flat and makes herself know that she is the visitor. While Paul tries to tell Fox that Elle is here, Fox replies that he never heard anything. Elle calls out again, asking if Paul is home and the two being to argue over if Elle is there or not. Fox is physically restraining Paul from reaching the door but Elle lets herself in and sees Paul having a wrestling match with himself and asking for her help "to get him off me".
