Recap
Tom realising that Susan has feelings for him, and challenging her to face the truth
Sky tells Janelle that if she meets Terrence and still doesn't believe, then she will walk away from him
Rosie telling Fraser she doesn't mind if their relationship gets no more physical than kissing
Number 30
Carmella arrives home to see workmen putting up rails in the bathroom so Fraser can shower himself. Hyper, she asks if Rosie has done something with her hair or make up. Shyly, Rosie goes into the lounge and tells her sister that she and Fraser are together. Carmella excitedly - and unabashedly - tells her sister that it makes sense; now that Fraser is in a wheelchair it makes it safe for her to get together with him.
ROSIE: What's that supposed to mean?
CARMELLA: Well, let's just hope for your sake that he never walks again, right?
ROSIE: Carmella!
CARMELLA: No, I'm just saying - you couldn't be with him when he was skipping around the place but now that he's crippled you can. You've finally found a partner who won't make demands!
She has no idea of the impact of what she's said and she's off to have a swim.
The General Store
Sky tells Terrence that Janelle the sceptic will be turning up to the session as well, today. Sky goes to clean up Kerry, and Terrence puts his MP3 player on - although he's not listening to it. Instead, he makes notes on Lou and Harold's conversation about Lolly, and Harry convincing Lou to come to Terrence's session.
Susan comes in, and Lou's surprised to see her. She tells him that she pulled a muscle on camp and had some staffing issues so she came home early; she fiddles with her wedding ring behind her back, which doesn't go unnoticed by Terrence. Susie tells Lou that Lolly didn't say anything about leaving Erinsborough. Sky comes back with Kerry and tells Lou she's pleased he's sitting in on the session today, and invites Susan.
Susan initially says no, but Lou asks her to - he needs her critical eye, too. Sky approaches Terrence and asks if it's okay, and he pretends he didn't hear - he was listening to music. Yeah, whatever. He says he doesn't mind if they sit in - he's just going to clear his head and brace himself for the onslaught of disbelievers.
He leaves The General Store and immediately calls Charlotte...
The Scarlet Bar
...who happens to be sitting in the bar. She asks what information he needs; he needs stuff on Lou, Lolly, and Susan's marital situation.
In the meantime, Steph sits with Toadie and Charlie and promises him another date - as long as she doesn't have to be a Swedish bimbo again.
TOADIE: Oh, come on. You had an ikea of a time.
Steph says it can't be tonight - Charlie has him immunisations later and he probably won't be very happy. On that note, she gets up and goes to Charlotte to check they're still on for Charlie's appointment. Of course, Charlotte needs to wait for Boyd, so makes an excuse that she's swamped, but Steph's not having any of it as Charlie's jabs are already overdue. So Charlotte agrees - after all, it's not like she's not immunised a child before, is it?!
Number 30 backyard
Rosie is chatting with workmen and Carmella comes out in a costume and a floaty thing, looking rather flirtatious and...well, naked. Rosie scolds her sister for coming out like that with all the workmen around staring at her, and it doesn't seem to have occurred to Carmella that it might be inappropriate.
Rosie also tells Carmella that she was hurtful about Fraser and her earlier, and suggests that her sister go back and see that doctor because there's clearly something wrong with her. Carmella looks confused and a little surprised.
The Surgery
Charlotte prepares to immunise Charlie, and tells Steph and Toadie they can leave whilst she does the jabs. Toadie wants to stay with him, so she tells them to focus on Charlie's face and not to look at what she's doing in case he sees them and gets more upset. Toadie and Steph completely focus on Charlie, and Charlotte injects the contents of the syringe onto a piece of cloth.
It was the most unconvincing fake injection, like, ever.
The Law Firm
Bree and Janae are here to see Toadie - they need back up for the Terrence thing, need Toadie to help convince Sky that he's a fake. Toadie agrees to come, but as he leaves with the girls, Charlotte hears that he's attending, and immediately calls Terrence.
Lassiters
Janae and Toadie run into Steph and Charlie, and whilst Janae goes on in, Steph kisses Toadie for loving her son so much! Toadie notices that there's no injection mark on Charlie, and they talk about how wonderful Doctor Stone is. It's called irony.
Steph asks Toadie if he'd like to move in with them - which kinda came out of the blue for Toadie and me.
The General Store
Terrence comes in and thanks everyone for waiting. I don't know why they're all meeting in the store - it's hardly the place to meet for a virtual séance. Plus - what happens if someone needs a flat white and chicken ciabatta??
Anyway, Terrence admits he's never held a channelling for a group, and he knows they're here because they don't want to see Sky taken advantage of. So he will just do what he usually does - pass on the messages he's receiving. He tells them that he doesn't have to do this, but he's been given a gift. Toadie arrives and says he does card tricks himself.
SUSAN: Look out, here we go...
TOADIE: *snigger*
Terrence says the name 'Jules Verne.'
SUSAN: He's dead!
TOADIE: *sniggers some more*
TERRENCE: Jon, Jonathan Verne.
He know it means something to Susan and she says he's in prison, not dead. Terrence knows - he tells Susie that he's being advised to tell her not to compare him to Jonathan.
SUSAN: Oh, right. By whom?
TERRENCE: Alex. Alex Kinski.
Susan's face is one of distress and horror.
Number 30
Carmella eats her tablets like they're sweets. She jiggles to music whilst she works, and tells Rosie that she's taking mood stabilisers. Rosie thinks it explains a lot about what's going on, but Carmy thinks they're helping. Rosie suggests she explain the side effects to Charlotte, but Carmella's having none of it - she thinks Rosie's the one with the problem, and that her attitude is a reflection of what's going on in her life at the moment.
Furious, Rosie tells her sister that she's fine and she loves Fraser. Carmella asks if she's having a complete relationship.
CARMELLA: Look, when he was able-bodied, you'd run a mile from all that. Now he's safe, so when you say you love him it's not exactly true, is it?
ROSIE: I do love him.
CARMELLA: You think you love him.
Carmella suggests her sister see a counsellor or Doctor Stone. Rosie doesn't know how to react.
The General Store
Susan dismisses the Jonathan thing - he was a bogus faith healer who tried to con Alex. Terrence quotes some Dostoevsky to Susan - and says it's from Alex, he wants to make sure Susan listens to his message.
SUSAN: What message?
TERRENCE: He thinks you made a mistake remarrying. His being lives on, Susan, I don't know what else to say.
Susan wants to be dismissive but is clearly upset...
But Terrence is getting another message - Cheryl's now here. She's happy, happy now that Lolly is with Lou. Janelle wants a message, now, and immediately Terrence has a message - from Cedric, her grandfather. He's with Scott now, and they're getting on - they have ADHD in common. Cedric also says that if ADHD pills had been around in his day then he wouldn't have rolled the tractor. Tut tut.
Toadie wants a message now. Wow, Terrence seems to be hearing from a lot of people in a short space of time and rather immediately as soon as he's asked. Anyway, he's heard from Dee - who wants Toadie to know that he loves too easily, and that the love isn't real.
Wow, Cheryl, Alex, Dee, Scott - all we need is Lil, David and Madge it's a Dead People's party. And ironically, in 1995 Cheryl actually hosted a fancy dress Dead People's party at Chez Chez. What are the chances?
The Surgery
Rosie wants to talk about Charlotte and Carmella's medication. Charlotte declines to comment on this specific case, and promises Rosie that the changes she's seeing are because Carmella's recovering from minor depression. Rosie says it's not true - she's very different. Charlotte starts to suggest that it's Rosie's feelings which are a problem, that she has her own issues about her relationship with her sister...
The General Store
Toadie has grabbed Terrence furious that he talked about Dee. Lou and Harry get them apart, and Susan tells Toadie to go outside. Terrence admits to Janelle (with Bree and Susan there) that he understands why she was angry at Sky for wanting to scatter Scott's ashes, but it's what Stingray wanted. Susan tells Janelle to leave with her.
The Scarlet Bar
Toadie and Susan sit together talking.
TOADIE: Did he get to you about Alex?
Susan looks scared and sad and asks how he knows that Alex loved Dostoevsky. Toadie wonders how he knew about Dee, but they remind themselves that these guys are professionals. They don't look convinced by their own argument, but Susan seems very happy to let Toadie help her believe that Terrence is just very clever...
SUSAN: How did he know about my marriage...
TOADIE: Susan!
SUSAN: I know, I know. I know.
TOADIE: And Alex would *not* disapprove of you and Karl!
SUSAN: I know! And neither would Dee about you and Steph! I know it shouldn't upset me but it just gives me the willies.
For some reason that makes me howl with laughter; it's not a very Susan phrase.
Toadie tells Susan that Steph has asked him to move in with her. Susan wonders if it's a bit quick, given that he was going to take it slowly.
Cut straight to the back room of the bar where...
...where Toadie has told Steph he can't move in. Not straight away, because Susan's struggling without Karl. Steph doesn't buy it, so Toadie tells her about what Terrence said about Dee.
Steph can't believe that he bought what Terrence said. She tells him that if he doesn't want to move with her, that's fine, but she doesn't want to be insulted with the spiritualist cr*p.
The Skate Park
Janelle and Sky stand at the top of the skate ramp with Scott's ashes. Janae - with Kerry in her arms - and Bree join them. They stand together.
JANELLE: We're here. We're here to say goodbye to Scotty, you little ratbag. Had to be here, didn't it. The amount of times you nearly broke your neck; God, I could've killed ya. But we know you've moved on to the next place. Oh, I hope you're okay. I love you, I love you so much.
BREE: Always.
JANAE: Always.
Janelle and Janae are sobbing, and Bree chokes back tears.
JANELLE: Are we ready?
The camera pans back and over them as Janelle throws out the ashes over the skate ramp. I've no idea where they end up because I'm crying too much.
The Law Firm
Terrence and Charlotte share a drink, laughing about the earlier session and the gullibility of people who believe what they want to believe. Charlotte asks if Sky's coughed up any money, yet, and Terrence says no - but she's ready to give more and she's completely besotted.
Charlotte wonders if he's getting too cosy with her, after all, he does love young blondes. He denies it. Charlotte just wants her money quickly so they can get out, but Terrence thinks they should stay - it's the perfect set up. She has access to legal and medical records, so they have barely touched the surface here.
TERRENCE: Come on. You love it. Doctor Stone.
They kiss, and Terrence tells her that she's not going anywhere until she's signed the phoney medical certificate for Paul Robinson, and Terrence knows Paul has money.
TERRENCE: By the time they work out what's going on, we'll be long gone.
CHARLOTTE: So might he. Think he really is sick.
She says she checked his symptoms on the internet (because we all know what a reliable source that is for medical information) and Paul could have only weeks to live. Days, even.
