Colac
Bree again asks to go home but Kim would rather that Bree went through with it. Janelle is happy that Bree isn't going through with it and tells Kim to get driving after they've had a little ding-dong. Janelle tries to cheer Bree up by talking about the bridesmaids' dress she is going to be wearing as Kim finally starts the car.
No. 28
Rachel stops doodling in a notebook about how much she loves Stinger when she hears Susan enter the house and Susan's gets suspicious when Rachel offers to help with the shopping without being asked because that is what Stingray did when he had a guilty conscious. Rachel denies being up to anything bar helping Stinger with a film he was working on as Lyn enters the house. Rachel is *so* gushing the compliments about Stinger to Susan and when she moves away from them, they start giggling and Lyn says that someone has a crush on him.
No. 26
Janelle is measuring Kim up for a suit in the livingroom (even though he'd rather hire one) and in the kitchen Bree tries to get Stinger to talk as he is being very quiet. He finally admits that he likes Rachel and Bree eventually twigs that it is more than just friends and he tells her about their almost kiss earlier. Bree thinks they look good together and have fun together before adding that it is nice for Rachel having a guy like him in love with her. Stinger gets a bit freaked out at the 'l-word' so Bree asks to explain himself and he admits that Rachel is stuck in his head and he can't get rid of her. Bree replies that is definitely love but he repeats that it isn't but asks if this is weird or not and Bree says no.
Back in the livingroom, Kim has had enough of being pricked by pins from Janelle (this was ongoing through the Bree/Stingray conversation) and announces that they are hiring suites and over his dead body if necessary!
No. 28
Steph calls by looking for Lyn and Susan mentions their business venture but Steph goes all quiet and asks Lyn if they can have a word back at her place.
Rachel comes out of her room and Susan subtly gets the conversation onto crushes and cites her first crush but Rachel tells her that it isn't a stupid crush, its love. Susan is aghast to hear that they almost kissed too.
No. 32
Steph and Lyn enter the house with Steph having a go at Lyn for what she believes is Lyn making her sign the contract in a hurry without studying it properly and thus doing herself out of money. Lyn says that she didn't want Paul to change his mind, hence the speed and Steph retaliates by replying that since Lyn works for Paul surely she'd know what was in the contracts. Lyn informs them that she just does the leg work for Paul and Max asks Steph to ease off blaming her mum for everything when she starts spouting off since Lyn was oblivious to what Paul was up to. Lyn assures them that she'll fix it and have a go at Paul for ripping off her daughter and even hints at threatening to quit her job when Steph asks how she can still work for Paul after what he's done. Max tells Lyn that nothing so drastic should be required - there are other ways. Again, Lyn says that she'll sort it.
No. 26
Janelle circles the date of her re-wedding to Kim - Thursday 1st June and admits she is so excited. Bree says that they should write a new book about it...if she is bought a new laptop because she's fed up having to take her turn to get on the family one. Kim informs her that the PC is free now but Bree replies that she isn't inspired at the moment. Janelle tells Bree that she can have her laptop and Bree leaves the kitchen a happy bunny but Kim isn't as he asks where the money is going to come from before adding that they can't paper over the cracks about Bree by constantly buying gifts like Janelle thinks they should. Kim thinks that they need professional help so they know how to handle things but she doesn't...because there isn't a problem.
KIM: Hello? Is it me or are we just going round in circles here?
Janelle thinks that some together time will solve all their problems hence the re-wedding. Stingray comes in and Kim breaks off his chat with Janelle to ask him if he was driving Dylan's car as he saw it at Grease Monkey's. Stinger quickly says it ran out of petrol and Kim volunteers to help him get the car home and drags Janelle with them so they can have some together time even though she'd rather be doing wedding arrangements.
No. 28
Rachel is trying to put forward examples as to why she should go out with Stingray, even if she is younger than him. Susan isn't budging though and mentions about it being illegal. Rachel enquires if being in love is illegal or caring about another person and brings up the fact that Susan goes on about what a great guy Stingray is.
SUSAN: Yes, yes he is a wonderful friend to have, but that's where it ends.
RACHEL: Who says?
SUSAN: I say, the law says and for very good reason.
RACHEL: Well who can I have a relationship with then?
Susan replies that she's got plenty of time for relationships yet and reminds her that Stinger is too old for her despite Rachel protesting that isn't the case. She tells Susan that she feels older and is reminded again that she isn't old enough for an adult relationship. Rachel asks in that case, should she lock herself up in a tower and Susan replies no, she just needs to find someone her own age, which results in Rachel accusing Susan of being just like her dad was with Katya and look how that turned out. Susan doesn't take the bait and tells her that she isn't going to have this argument.
RACHEL: You know, I really thought you were different. I thought that you of all people would understand me.
No. 22
Lyn comes round to tell Paul that Steph is a novice in business and asks him to increase Steph's share of the profits but he isn't budging and says that Steph has just learned a valuable business lesson - always read the contract. He adds that he is the one with all the up-front costs and the contacts before adding that 100% of nothing is nothing. Lyn tells him that Steph isn't going to forgive her for this but Paul says that paying off her mortgage in one hit will do it! He rubs it in by saying that if his meeting goes well then it could go international! Lyn asks what can she tell Steph.
PAUL: Tell her to stop being such a baby.
Lyn blames herself for not reading the contract and he asks if Max read it, he didn't, so Paul asks why she should have. "Because I'm her mum," replies Lyn. Paul confesses that he is a bit confused because one minute Steph is banning her from seeing Charlie because of her interfering but now it is all Lyn's fault for not reading the contract on her behalf and it appears like she is a doormat.
Outside Grease Monkey's
Stinger fills the car up with petrol and Kim is slightly bemused when he turns the engine as it is three-quarters full with fuel. Stingray wonders how that could have happened because the dial was definitely registering as being empty. Kim informs him that he was looking at the wrong gauge before starting to get out of the drivers seat to let Stingray drive. Stingray quickly makes up an excuse but is lost for one when Janelle informs him that he can be a chauffeur for the re-wedding. Just as he thought his excuse was going to get him off driving, Kim gets out of the car and tells his son to get in.
Commercial break over, Stingray starts up the car but stalls departing and Kim tells him to get on with it. In his rear-view mirror he spots a police car and quickly switches off the engine saying it has stalled. His parents don't believe him and ask what has happened and after hiding his face when the police drive past, he confesses that he got done for drink driving this afternoon and has lost his license. Naturally, his parents aren't exactly thrilled with the news and have a go at him for drink driving. Trying to defend himself, he is about to say exactly where the extra money the family have got is really coming from but stops himself even though Janelle is suspicious.
No. 26
Rachel talks to Bree about finding her real parents and she tells Rachel that she'd go mental if she thought everyone she met was her real parents if they resemble her in any way. Rachel urges her to find them but Bree replies that she can't because Janelle will think that she doesn't love them and how would the other family feel about it too before adding that she doesn't want anyone else to feel as bad as she does right now. Rachel asks if she is going to spend the rest of her life in denial and Bree sadly says that is the best way for everyone.
No. 32
Steph watches Charlie in his bassinette as Lyn enters and she immediately asks if Charlie should be lying on his back. "I'll be the judge of that," replies Steph as well as giving her mum a look, so Lyn says she can't keep up knowing what to do - one minute she is smothering Steph and the next letting her down. Lyn then repeats what Paul said to her, that Steph's opinions will change when she is able to pay her mortgage off in one hit and that 5% of thousands is a lot more than 0% of nothing. Steph guesses who really said that and asks her mum what happened to the ethics she used to have.
Ramsay Street
The Timmins arrive home and Janelle is having a go at Stinger for being caught drink driving. As Susan watches on, Stinger wonders if the reaction would be the same if it was Bree who'd been done, which results in Janelle telling him that she is ashamed of him
Susan comes over wanting a word with him and isn't taking no for an answer.
No. 26
Bree presents Janelle with revised budget costs for the wedding - $33k and Janelle wishes she'd never got out of bed today. Kim says they can still do it, and he'll take care of it. Janelle asks if it is anything dodgy and he replies no.
Janelle now starts to organise the wedding and says that Bree will be flower girl and that they need 4 bridesmaids and come up with - Janae, Angie, Susan...and Izzy! Bree thinks she's off her head but Janelle says that it will give them good material for the next book!
In the kitchen, Kim tells whoever is on the other end of the phone to get selling DVDs quick because he needs the cash.
No. 22
Lyn is back trying to get more money out of Paul and he relents to giving Steph a miserly 7% of the net profits and Lyn celebrates like she's won the lottery. He spots that she looks different and notices he hair, (which is a rather bright shade of plum) but their conversation is interrupted by someone knocking at the door. Lyn answers and it is Janelle asking if Izzy will be one of her bridesmaid. Paul replies that he thinks that she'll be delighted (and shocked) to accept. Janelle pushes her luck and asks if they can then get mates rates for the reception at Lassiter's!
No. 28
Stinger is getting it again for being caught drink driving, this time from Susan. She is annoyed to find out that Rachel, the minor, was in the car with him. He replies that he wasn't off his face but Susan says that Rachel is her responsibility and that he broke her trust and let her down. The conversation then gets round to Rachel's crush on Stinger and Susan tells him that he needs to tell Rachel that it isn't on. Stinger replies that it isn't easy because he likes her too. Susan gives him a look, and he quickly tells her that Rachel is wonderful, beautiful and that he loves spending time with her. Susan wants confirmation that they almost kissed and Stinger's silence confirms it.
SUSAN: I told Katya your relationship was harmless, that I trusted you completely. You've made a liar out of me.
STINGER: I'm sorry.
Susan replies that isn't good enough, so he asks what does she want him to do.
SUSAN: Whatever has happened with Rachel, whatever you've said or done, it ends *immediately*. It's over.
