The General Store
Dylan is reading aloud (to Lou) a newspaper article reporting what happened at the demo last week (David accusing Paul of having an affair with Lil). Sky and David come in and Sky is annoyed that the news coverage is of David/Paul instead of the actual protest but David says there will be enough coverage when the truth comes out. Harold confirms to them that another independent environmental report has been organised for tomorrow, and this time it will be independent. David suggests that the person who did their last environmental report from was 'got at' by Paul but this time he won't know about the new report. David reminds everyone not to say a thing about it until it has been completed, which Harold, Lou and Sky agree to but Dylan doesn't say anything.
Outside
Paul suggests to Lil that they get away for a while but Lil is reluctant to. Paul then tells Lil about David almost running him down and Lil is mega surprised at this, saying he wouldn't do that, but Paul says that there were witnesses. He tells her too that Serena was nearly hit; again this shocks Lil, so Paul explains that this is why he wants them to go away for a bit. Lil is shocked by these revelations and when Paul suggests they go to Sydney, she eventually tells him that she'll think about it. Paul proposes they go for dinner and Lil agrees as long as she pays.

The Timmins family are back from looking at cars but Janelle is just about pulling her hair out as none of them can agree on one they like. Janelle doesn't like what the rest are saying, so she asks Bree which one she should pick but it turns out that somehow or other Janelle forgot to take Bree along so she can't choose. Going to plan B, she tells Bree to pick one from the various remarks that everyone has made since they've come home and she eventually replies "the cheapest" and they all burst out laughing.
Lil's cabin
Lil and Paul have come back from dinner and Lil is annoyed and embarrassed since all her cards were rejected. Lil tells him that David will have cleared out the bank accounts, which she describes as being "so petty". Paul tells her to relax and they will get it all sorted out but in the meantime he has everything covered that she should want, she just has to let him know. Lil suddenly tells him to get packing - they're going to Sydney!

Stinger is in a bad mood as there are no crumpets left and accuses Bree of eating them (she quickly covers the plate with her one on it). A car beeping its horn is heard outside and Stingray rushes to the window to check it out. He's impressed with whatever he's seen and yells at Janae and Dylan to get up (hope Lyn and Oscar have either left earlier or have earplugs in!). They reluctantly get up and Stingray leads them outside.
Ramsay Street
Janelle is the one beeping the horn... on their new car! She's bought a people carrier and they are all impressed with the colour and especially the new car smell. Not surprisingly, the rest of the neighbours start to appear and David isn't impressed with the noise. Janelle remarks that David can't stand to see the lower classes enjoying themselves! Sky however is more impressed with Dylan's PJ's asking if they are real flannelette, so he strips them off going down to his boxers so she can get a proper look.
Lou comes over for a better look and Janelle tells him to hop in and have a look around, which he does, and when they are inside Janelle thanks him for setting her up with the credit card as she'd never be able to afford it otherwise. Lou looks aghast and asks if she's read the small print as the interest free period is only on for a short period. Janelle replies that she'll be fine especially since he recommended the card to her.
Whilst they are admiring the car (and Dylan's body), Peg Verity the hydrologist arrives and she'd like to begin by reading the last report they commissioned.

The Timminses return to the house, talking about how wonderful the new car is and where they want to go in it. Janelle doesn't want to wear it out before they've taken Bree to the spelling competition in it. Bree doesn't look very happy and asks if she really bought the car just to take her to that. Janelle asks so what if she did? She'd do anything for any of her kids.
The General Store
Peg Verity has read the previous report and will go and re-test the samples and she'll get back to them but Harold, David, Sky and Serena want to go with her even though she says it isn't very thrilling. As they are leaving, Lil comes in wanting a word with David and Serena so David tells Sky that they'll catch up with them.
David apologises for clearing out the bank accounts and he will sort it out. Lil doesn't acknowledge this but instead tells him that she's going to Sydney for a couple of months until things calm down. David wants to know if Paul is going with her, which she confirms by her silence. Lil tells Serena that it has nothing to do with her and she will phone her and she would like it if she was to visit her there at some point but she doesn't reply. David tells her not to do this, as he just needs a bit more time but before he can finish his sentence Lil tells him that she doesn't want to hear anything more of his mad conspiracies about Paul. Serena butts in and says that they are not mad and tells her that they are going to get more environmental tests done and the truth will then come out. Lil tells them both that she didn't plan to fall in love with Paul but it happened and now David can't accept it. David says that is because Paul is a liar and a fraud, which doesn't go down well with Lil.
LIL: Will you listen to yourself? God, Paul rebuilt Lassiters from the ground up, he bailed Steph out, he gave Stuart back his eyesight, and you're so bitter and you're angry and you can't see the truth.
DAVID: I can't see the truth? Paul's a megalomaniac. He's poisoned our marriage.
LIL: I know what you are trying to do David; I know you nearly ran him down. So under the circumstances I think it is best for everybody if Paul and I take some time out away form here.
She asks Serena to think about her visit before kissing her on the head and leaving.
Scarlet Bar
Dylan sees Paul having some food and blabs to him about the Bishops getting a new environmental report done today. Paul thanks him and tells him that he won't be around for a few months but to stick in at school.

Lil is packing when Paul comes round with the tickets for them and tells her that they will be having cocktails by the harbour by 7pm and to leave her stuff they will go on a shopping spree in Sydney! He wants them to go for a few drinks before they leave but Lil turns him down firstly to take her own stuff with her and she needs time to say goodbye to the rest of the Giggle Sisters and besides, what's the rush? Paul just says it is excitement and the thought of having her all to himself for three months. He then asks how Serena took the news and Lil tells him she was okay about it and adds that David has filled her head with stupid ideas including some environmental report that is going to change everything. Paul starts to look worried now.

The Timmins are still going on about the new car and planning on where to go with it during the next school holidays. Janae's talks with Karl get mentioned and Janelle thought she'd stopped seeing him and Janae says she has and that she is cured. Dylan blows a raspberry at her and Janelle asks if she has gone nuts since she is seeing a shrink. Janae tells her that Karl isn't a shrink, just the school counsellor, so Janelle asks if she is seeing the school counsellor or not? Stingray tries to change the conversation but Janelle wants her question answered first adding what can she tell a counsellor that she can't tell her own mother? Janae doesn't answer and wants her to drop it but Janelle is still waiting, so Janae stands up to storm off to her room but Janelle quickly grabs her and tells Janae to talk to her or should she go and ask Dr Karl instead. Janae reminds her about patient confidentiality, which makes Janelle even more suspicious, so Janae now gets into a strop and this time she does storm off to her room.

Paul confesses to Lil that he's afraid to fly! Lil hugs him and says "nothing bad will happen to us" and tells him to relax. Lil wants to have a quick shower before they leave and when she leaves someone knocks on the door. Paul answers it, and Affirmacon baddie Tony and his henchmen come in - they just so happened to be in the neighbourhood! Tony spots the cases and Paul says they're only away for the weekend but Tony has spotted that there isn't a return date on the tickets and doesn't believe Paul's reason (unsure what time they wanted to come back) and suggests they go for a drive instead to the country and he's not taking no for an answer!
The General Store
Peg Verity gives the Bishops some great news - the original report isn't worth the paper it is written on and someone has badly influenced the council! Everyone is in a celebratory/relief mood and Sky says that Paul will go down for this. David is all emotional in that he has eventually been proved right as far as Paul is concerned. Serena drags David off to stop Lil from leaving.

Lil shouts from the bathroom for Paul to answer whoever is knocking on the door, but of course Paul has gone for his drive in the country. Lil eventually comes out of the bathroom to answer it and Serena and David have speedily arrived to tell Lil the news that he was right all along and that the environmental reports before were wrong. David wants to know where Paul is and Lil suddenly wonders where is Paul?
Countryside
They drive is over and they're now taking a little walk. Paul is stalling for time by telling them about the new environmental report but Tony accuses him of playing with both sides and asks how long that will last. Paul says it was just part of his plan, the big picture, but Tony tells them that they aren't looking at the same picture! Paul says that isn't true, so Tony asks why he and Lil are doing a runner to Sydney and Paul replies that they are only going on holiday for a couple of weeks.
TONY (scoffing): It was a weekend before; you got to get your story straight mate. I think I can safely say this is the line for you and Affirmacon. (Paul begins to look very worried.) This is where YOU get off.
Paul quickly assesses his escape routes and when the henchman goes to lift a chunk of wood, he quickly takes off with Tony and the henchman in close pursuit.

Lil has twigged the real reason why Paul was really nervous earlier and it wasn't to do with him being scared of flying. Serena tells her that she now knows the truth and David joins in too asking how much does he (Paul) have to do to hurt her. Lil tells them that Paul has just stepped out to get something and Serena tells David that they should go but David wants to lay all the facts on the table but Serena says no and tries to get him to leave, which they do and Lil quickly picks up the phone.
Countryside
Paul is running from the Affirmacon baddies and has found a hidey-hole to hide in, so the baddies head in another direction. Just as he is breathing a sigh of relief at evading capture his mobile starts playing a stupid tune! Whist he frantically tries to get to his phone, the baddies have heard it and head back in the direction of the stupid tune. Paul comes out of his hidey-hole and heads down the hill with the baddies in hot pursuit again.
No. 28
Lil leaves a message on Paul's voicemail since he is a bit pre-occupied to answer the phone right now!
LIL: It's me! I'm just wondering where you are.
Countryside
And we see where Paul is - still running from the baddies! He stops to consider which direction to go but what a silly man he is by doing that since the baddies are right behind him now! They run a bit more then Paul tries to come to a brief stop but ends up taking a header as he loses his balance.
Tony and his henchmen arrive to see Paul lying face down at the bottom of a cliff not moving.
TONY: Oh, how sad.
They turn and walk away.
