Recap
- Izzy telling Karl the father/daughter relationship is special.
- Connor telling Toadie to be happy for Sindi and Stu, and Toadie replying that the marriage is a farce.
No. 32
Steph and Max are still on a high from the news they received when Summer and Bree come in. They tell Summer that they've been called in for an interview (along with another two couples) for adopting a baby but Summer runs out of the livingroom. Steph thinks that Summer thinks that it is happening too fast (and remember what she was like when they first talked about having children). Bree reassures them that isn't the case and Summer is happy about the potential baby, which makes Steph smile again. Bree asks them if there is a limit to how many kids they can adopt. Steph isn't sure but says that one is more than enough for now. Summer comes back into the room - turns out she wasn't upset at the thought of the Hoyland family enlarging but was getting a photo of her (from the wedding) for their profile.
No. 28
Sindi wants Stu to think again over his choice of having Connor as the best man in preference to Toadie since they've know Toadie forever but he tells her that it is his choice, and thinks anyway that Toadie will be happier the least he has to do with the wedding. Sindi won't let it rest and Stu gets a bit annoyed, so she reminds him that this is supposed to be a happy time but if he isn't happy then they will postpone the wedding, which puzzles Stu, until Toadie and he can behave as rational human beings again. In that case Stu says they will be having the wedding in a nursing home! He tells her that the wedding will go ahead as planned because he won't let Toadie make him choose between his best mate and the woman he loves.

Bobby is turning on the charm to the ladies (not Susan, Lyn or Janelle this time though) as Izzy and Karl look on. She thinks he is good for business but Karl isn't quite so keen on Bobby, so she asks him what his problem is with Bobby. He says he hasn't got a problem per say, which Izzy doesn't like, so he expands a bit more by saying he likes him on the whole. Izzy retorts that both she and Max are willing to give Bobby another go and he should do so too. From the bar, Bobby wants Bella to come over to be introduced to his latest groupies, sorry beautiful ladies. Izzy goes over for the introductions whilst Karl says that he is sulking off, sorry leaving to go back to the surgery.
No. 30
Sindi is apologising on Stu's behalf for him not being the best man but that he still has to come to the wedding, despite any reservations he may have about the wedding. She invites him over for supper and Connor accepts on their behalf when Toadie says he will think about it.
No. 32
Max is telling Steph to get a move on or they will be late for the interview (she can't decide on an outfit to wear). Eventually she comes out and they head off leaving Summer and Bree but before they leave a mobile starts ringing and they wonder who's phone it is. Bree says the mobile is hers, which Max is surprised at her having (he wondered who paid the bills and Bree said Janelle on her credit card) until Summer says everyone has a mobile now. This pacifies Max and they eventually leave and Summer answers the phone - to a text message. Weird! It's from "sad case" Valerie who tells Bobby that she can't live without him and to call her. Summer tells Bree that Bobby is avoiding her (Valerie) because she is desperate. Summer begins to doubt the wisdom of having his phone and getting these messages/calls, and wants to give him the phone back but before you can say 'telephone' Bree snatches it away from her, telling her that they need it to vote someone out of the Big Brother House!
Karl's office
Izzy calls into see Karl who was daydreaming and apologises for leaving him earlier, which he accepts. She also hopes that he can get on better with Bobby since they are the two most important men in her life. Karl wishes he was the most important man in her life, which Izzy thinks is cute but surprising given her jealousy. Karl admits that he a jealous person too, so Izzy reassures him that Bobby is just trying to make up for all the years he wasn't there. Turns out he thought she was just using him as a temporary father figure until her father turned up. Izzy is shocked at him thinking this and he tells her that they broke the mould when she was created (and how many of us have said that too). They begin to kiss but Izzy pulls away to offer a romantic dinner with the phone off the hook, well after they've played their own version of doctors and nurses in the surgery!

Steph, like the majority of us, can't believe this is happening so quickly and the interviewer (Peter) agrees saying it can be a bit unpredictable at times. The woman who saw their profile, Kayla liked what she read and wanted a meeting arranged ASAP. Peter again says someone requesting a meeting with prospective parents is unusual but that Kayla wouldn't agree to give her baby away until she knew who she was handing her child over to. He also reminds them that they aren't the only couple in the running, which Max confirms that they knew that part already. Peter then invites Kayla into the room and Steph smiles at her.
No. 32
Bree and Summer are texting away when Bobby comes in offering them a job babysitting his Japanese client's children for $20 each, whist he takes the parents on the alternative cultural tour of Erinsborough. Bree says yes straight away but Summer asks if this is legal since they aren't qualified babysitters until Bree reminds Sum that she babysits Oscar all the time. Bobby now entices them with unlimited ice-cream at TGS and that he is only a phonecall away if anything should happen. Summer has an unhappy look on her and he thinks she is trying to fleece more money out of him but she tells him that she is upset about Valerie calling his mobile all the time and asks what he did to her. Bobby is shocked and says he is innocent unlike Valerie, so Summer tells him about the call she received yesterday and that Valerie was crying but he says that is a favourite trick (turning on the waterworks) played by women. Summer isn't convinced saying it sounded real to her, so Bobby tells her his version of the truth - that he and Valerie only had one drink together and she became obsessed about him and hence getting her to field his calls but if the calls are upsetting her then he will take the phone back. They both quickly say "no" and reassure him when he queries it.

Kayla tells them about her background - her mum kicked her out when she was 13, her 'mongrel' father is dead and she has been living on the streets for the past few years but she's just moved into a refuge. Steph asks where the father of the baby (Anthony) is and she replies that he took off as soon as she told him about the baby. She tells them why she is giving the child up for adoption but that she isn't going to do it to anyone, hence the meeting. Kayla mentions seeing in their profile that Steph rides motorbikes and is a mechanic, which she describes as being pretty full on for a chick. Steph talks of her love of bikes and she "bonds" with Kayla over types of bikes. Peter asks Steph and Max if they have any further questions. Steph tells Kayla that they know how big a responsibility this is - handing over her child to strangers, and Kayla confirms that she has spoken to a counsellor about it. Steph asks her what sort of future she wants for her child with Max adding what sort of parents she wants for her baby. Peter encourages Kayla to say what she feels but she is in shock as nobody has asked her those sort of questions before.
KAYLA: I want my kid to have the type of parents I never had; ones that will really love it and care what happens to it.

Bobby is with his Japanese clients when Summer comes in wanting money from Bobby to pay for the ice-creams as Harold is refusing further service until money is given. He asks Izzy to set up the karaoke since the Japanese people will be into it but she tells him that Max sold it on the Internet and besides Karl and her have plans so she is off. Bobby turns on the charm to get her to sing (he obviously has never heard her sing unlike us!). Izzy compromises - hiring in a karaoke machine, Karl and her having dinner there before singing (if that is what she calls it) along to the words provided. Karl isn't exactly happy (wonder if that is at the thought of hearing Izzy sing again) or that his night of passion has been ruined?

The interview is over and Kayla prepares to leave. She silently looks at Steph as they shake hands before leaving the room. After she leaves their feelings of joyfulness before the meeting is now quickly forgotten as Max tells Steph that he feels so sorry for Kayla and Steph tells him that she can't believe what Kayla has been through and Max adds that they feel like they will be stealing her baby. Peter tells them those feelings are not unusual but that is the nature of adoption and that circumstances often dictate having to give away a child even though they don't really want to. Steph says that Kayla's circumstances are tragic.
No. 28
It's wedding chat at No. 28 but there is no sign on Toadie, only Connor. Sindi starts to weep over a ruined roast when Toadie eventually arrives, saying a client held him up and wonders what that smell is and after quickly seeing Sindi's face, says the smell is awesome, which Sindi is surprised at.
No. 32
Max still has Kayla and her circumstances on the mind and can't settle and Steph says she is bothered by thoughts of where she is living too. They wonder what will happen if the baby's father turns up, especially as Kayla will be involved in their lives if she hands over the baby to them, in case he (Anthony) turns up causing trouble in the future. The happiness of earlier that day is well and truly gone.
No. 28
Sindi is relieved that they are all talking and sitting down for a meal. Toadie tells her that she has become more mature lately, and them behaving is down to her. Sindi thanks him for the compliments, especially the bit about being good wife material. Toadie proposes a toast to the happy couple wishing them congratulations and continued happiness. Stu asks Toadie if he owns a decent suit because he now wants them both to be co-best men at his wedding, surprising even Toadie with this news. Toadie accepts Stuart's offer.

Karl finishes singing his song on the karaoke (and no, it wasn't 'Free as a river' or any other Karl songs) and tries to get Izzy to go up. She is reluctant but when Bobby drags her up, she gives in as not to disappoint her dad, pity. Unfortunately Izzy's voice hasn't improved much since we last heard it but the Japanese seemed to like it!
No. 32
Max is a little surprised to see that Bree has stayed over again last night but Steph hopes that Bree told Janelle she was staying over this time (Bree replies yes). Bree comments on the healthy breakfast too and that is one of the reasons Janelle likes her staying over, as they are a good influence on her (she hasn't eaten cake in four days). Max answers the phone to Peter and Steph becomes worried. Max comes off the phone with the news that Kayla has agreed to let them adopt her baby and it is up to them to decide if they want to accept the offer or not and Summer tells him to phone back and say yes!
Karl's office
Izzy comes in with a coffee for Karl as he sneaked out earlier without saying goodbye. She is a bit miffed at the competitive element between him and her father and for the not speaking to her when they got home last night. Karl firmly tells her that he doesn't like the way Bobby treats her and she wants specifics, so he tells her that he blows in from nowhere for god knows how long and she drops everything to accommodate him. Izzy tells him that she won't apologise for having her dad back in her life, which Karl sarcastically says for how long. She asks if he has been speaking to Max again but he replies that he is worried about her but Izzy says that the only person he is worried about is himself and the fact that he isn't the centre of her attention at the moment. Karl tells her that Bobby is going to hurt her as he can feel it coming. This news stuns Izzy and she tells him that she is sorry that he feels that way before heading out the door but before she does she tells Karl that this is all about his ego and that he envies Bobby (well the sleeping with Susan part I'm sure he does). Karl calmly tells her he doesn't want to play the of an aging lethario (sp?)! Izzy tells Karl that her dad isn't that but a kind and loving man, so Karl brings up all the women he is using and she says he is just flirting! Karl asks if she is happy with this and she replies that it doesn't bother her, so Karl tells her that one of her father's conquests was Susan.
