Lil's room
David comes in wanting to say something to Lil before she goes for the op. She wants to know who the boy is. David tells her its Luka, Svetlanka's godson. She says to say thanks for her.

Hospital corridor
Lil is being wheeled out of her room and the camera angle changes so we see Svetlanka, Harold, Sky and Serena from Lil's viewpoint. Meanwhile Luka is also being wheeled along the corridor. David tells Lil she can thank Luka herself, which she does.

No. 32
Max comes into the kitchen to find Summer making a card for Lil and Serena too in case something happens to her mum. Summer thinks what she's written is dumb:

I know how you're feeling alone in the dark,
I know for I've been there too,
But my heart and my hopes are with you now,
May it all go right for you.

Max says her mum would be proud of her. A knock on the door interrupts them. It's Caleb arriving to visit Summer. Max seems surprised he's there but Summer isn't although she feigns it to Max that she is.

Hospital corridor
Sky is giving Serena some sympathetic words. Serena thanks Sky for finding Luka and getting him to the hospital and not giving up like the rest of them. She then goes on to apologise to Sky for writing the messages about Lana on the blackboard.

No. 32
Caleb and Summer are making idle chat whilst Max tidies up in the background. Summer (taking the Mickey out of Max) goes on about "when he [Max] was a boy". Max asks Caleb where the limo is. Caleb says he walked, and after Summer half-laughs at him, says he does know how to walk. Caleb then explains that his mum is renting a place in Eden Hills and perhaps may buy something near Ramsay Street.

Hospital corridor
Serena is explaining to Sky why she wrote the messages on the blackboard - she was jealous and that Lana was her friend until Sky came along and took her away from her. Sky want to know why she didn't say something earlier. Serena said she felt outshone, insecure, stupid and selfish compared to being around Sky. They then start complimenting one another including their boyfriends. Serena just laughs and describes her love life to date and says the only one worth a second look is Luka, as he makes her feel special and worth something.

No. 32
Caleb asks Summer out on a date. She says she's free tomorrow around 12 at The Coffee Shop. He leaves and she returns to the kitchen where Max wants to know what's going on, especially after how he treated her the last time. Summer says she's got a plan, and Max looking worried wants to know what it is.

Hospital corridor
Karl comes over wanting a word with Svetlanka. He wants to know how long she's known abut Luka and how she could let them get that close. Svetlanka say's Serena's a good girl but Karl tells her they've been intimate and she could have prevented it. Svetlanka says she couldn't tell the truth earlier as it would have destroyed her relationship with Lil. Karl wants to know if her grandchildren's lives don't matter then. She says she will be more firm in the future. Karl says no, either she tells Serena or he will. She says he can't because of doctor/patient confidentiality. Karl reminds her that it's Serena who is his patient not her. Voices start to get raised just as Harold walks in and wants to know what is happening. Karl says Svetlanka might say and walks away. Harold looks at her wanting an answer but all she can say is she can't.

The whole family are now gathered waiting for news making idle chat. Karl rushes in saying the operation was a success and David can go and reassure Lil. Serena wants news on Luka and Karl says he'll keep her updated.

Lil's room
David comes into talk to Lil but she is still groggy.

Luka's room
Serena is sitting beside a still unconscious Luka stroking his hand. Karl explains to her about him suffering more pain than Lil, but as he's young he'll recover well in the long-term. She now starts to stroke his face and then kisses him whilst Karl looks on feeling very uncomfortable. Luka miraculously wakens up. David comes in to see how he is doing, cracking a joke to lighten the atmosphere. He thanks Luka and say's that he knows he's looking for his biological parents, but in the meantime he's welcome in their hearts and home and that to him, he'll "always be one of us." Luka thanks him but Karl looks on mortified.

Hospital corridor
David and Serena come back into the corridor to bring Sky and Harold up to date on Lil and Luka's progress. Svetlanka comes in and says she's spoken to Luka's family and they're arranging his return there as soon as he's fit to travel. Serena says he doesn't want to go back there and eventually David says he can stay at No. 24 until he's recovered. Voices begin to get raised so Harold says they should all go home.

School
Lana comes over to talk to Sky to see how she's holding up. Lana asks if Sky has done her video assignment for media studies. Sky has forgotten so Lana takes her away to get it done.

Hospital corridor
Harold and Svetlanka have just been to see Lil and run into David and Serena. Harold and David make plans to leave and Serena says she's going to see Luka. Before she gets far Svetlanka pulls her back and tell her to leave Luka alone. Svetlanka tries to make up reasons but Serena says she couldn't care less and will continue to see Luka and leaves.

Izzy comes in and sees an upset Svetlanka and assumes something is wrong with Lil, but she reassures Izzy nothing is wrong. Svetlanka leaves and Karl comes in and embraces her. They discuss again their versions of who Dr Levi is to each other.

The Coffee Shop
Summer and Caleb are having lunch in TCS when Max walks in and asks if she's ordered enough, which Caleb agrees with.

SUMMER: Really? I thought self-indulgence was your thing. You see something you want or at least think you want then once you've had enough, like I've had enough of this hamburger (she pushes it away) you just toss it to the side. Isn't that what you do Caleb?
CALEB: (looking worried)
SUMMER: Really cos that's what you did to me. You let me think you really liked me and then when you'd had enough you sent me that stupid piece of glass and that horrible letter. You tossed me aside like a cold plate of fries (pushes fries away).
CALEB: Hang on, you don't understand.

Max now turns round after being intrigued by the conversation.

SUMMER: I perfectly understand Caleb. I know spoilt brat behaviour when it slaps me in the face. So when you called me up wanting to get back together, I thought I'd let you live in hope for a while and then tell you I wouldn't go out with you if you were the last boy on earth!

Max is trying to curtail his laughter whilst Caleb looks like he'd wish he ground would open up and swallow him.

Izzy runs into Dr Smith and notices him change the nameplates on the door and susses out why Karl has been making comments about Dr Levi being good looking.

The Coffee Shop
Sky and Lana are making Sky's video when Izzy comes in, giving Sky a few digs along the way. Lana apologises for the mess. Izzy asks what would happen if the health inspectors came in. Sky has a little dig back at her before Lana stops her and says they'll tidy up.

Caleb explains to Summer he's only a spoilt brat when he's with his dad. His parents have split up and he lives with his mum in a two bedroomed rented house and isn't rich. He broke it off with her when he thought she wouldn't like him if he wasn't rich. Summer feels offended that he only thought she was going out with him because he had money. Now they've cleared the air summer is embarrassed by how much food they've ordered and how they are going to pay for it.

Karl comes in to speak to Izzy about her latest session with Dr Levi. Remember what she saw earlier, she plays a game with Karl by suggesting that Dr Levi wants to take her out for dinner. Karl goes a little crazy but Summer interrupts them saying they've got a problem. Izzy says to give her a second until she speaks to Karl but he's already left.

Hospital corridor
Dr Smith has just changed the nameplates yet again when Karl comes in and accuses him of unacceptable behaviour and threatening to report him to the psychiatric board. The doctor they says he's a paediatrician, Dr Smith, and he isn't Dr Levi. He just shares a room with him. Izzy now arrives at the hospital to witness Karl making an idiot of himself. Karl says he feels like a prize idiot and wants to know if Izzy knew all along. She tells him she only found out this morning. They have a good laugh over the whole incident.

The Coffee Shop
Summer and Caleb are now washing dishes to pay off their food bill. Summer agrees to forgive him for not being honest with her and they'll continue to see each other.

Hospital corridor
David and Serena come out to Harold and Svetlanka after seeing Lil. David says she must be getting better as she told him to go home for a shower. They all laugh. Harold and David go off and Serena says she's off to see Luka. Again before she gets very far, Svetlanka roughly pulls her back and orders her not to see him. Serena says tough, nothing she says or does will change that.

SVETLANKA: You are going to listen to me Serena. You are gong to hear the truth.
SERENA: What is it now Buba? That Luka is a serial killer?

Svetlanka has tears in her eyes.

SERENA: Buba.
SVETLANKA: My poor child. (She pauses.) Luka is your brother.

Serena just looks at her.

They are now in a room where Svetlanka is telling Serena about Luka but Serena doesn't want to believe it. Svetlanka tells her the love she shares for Luka is impossible and she must forget it and give it up.

SVETLANKA: And I beg you. Never say a word about this. Any of this.

Serena says it wasn't her or Luka's fault and they shouldn't feel ashamed but that it is Svetlanka who should feel ashamed. Svetlanka doesn't deny it and tells Serena she has every right to be angry with her but she's thinking about Lil and could she bear this news now?
