Recap
- Libby telling Darren she knows he invented his date to make her jealous.
- Therese telling Susan she's been in the same position and Tom is not the man Susan thinks he is.
Park
Jack and Mac are laughing about their night out clubbing. Jack says he's sure he saw the judge from Australia Idol. Mac asks if that's why he kept shimming over to check her out. Jack says he wasn't shimming, he was hot on the dance floor. Jack starts to tickle her as Lisa and Summer walk past. Lisa tells Summer that's the sort of boyfriend she needs. Someone who is older, dangerous and isn't afraid to show how he feels. Jack sees the girls and Summer waves. Lisa tells Summer she should never let a guy know she has been looking at them. Mac tells Jack he must be hot if a couple of ten years olds are checking him out instead of going to school. Jack says they're actually 13. Then it hits him. He should be at the site and Mac realises she should be at work. They both run off.
Church
Tom tells Susan he's been trying to call her since last night as he knows that Lyn has been talking to her and making her feel bad. Susan says she's just had a very interesting conversation. Tom asks if it was with Lyn. Susan says it wasn't.
School
Lisa is showing Summer a book of spells her mother uses. She tells Summer is works and she should use it to make Declan fall out of love with her. Summer wants to know why they just don't put a spell on her to make her love Declan. Lisa tells her then she'd be the victim of the relationship. Lisa says Summer has wasted enough time with Declan and Brayden isn't going to wait for ever and she tells Summer to imagine how impressed everyone would be if she went out with an older guy.
Church
Susan tells Tom that Therese implied that they had been involved. Tom says they had a good partnership running the parish. She followed him down from up north and they had a great working relationship.
TOM: You don't believe her do you?
SUSAN: I don't want to
TOM: I am a long way from being the perfect priest but I have valued my vows more than anything else in my life. You're the only woman I've ever compromised them for.
Susan says she knows and asks him if he thinks Therese will tell anyone else. Tom says they are going to be a scandal no matter what.
Building Site
Jim has called the police as everything from the site cage has been taken. Mac is looking over it and they discover the lock wasn't put on. Lyn arrives and Jim tells her that everything was taken because Jack didn't lock up. Mac leaves and Jack arrives. Lyn tells Jack what has happened but Jack says he remembers locking the cage. Jim shows him that the key is still in the lock.
Susan's
Darren is telling Libby he came over the check the wiring as sometimes it takes a while to settle in.
DARREN: You can't muck around where electricity is concerned - it's a shocker!
Libby asks him if he just came over to make fake excuses and bad jokes. Darren asks Libby to lunch but she says she's meeting a guy at the coffee shop. Susan walks in on her mobile. She's talking to the school telling them she has a migraine. Darren leaves and Libby tells Susan that pulling a sickie just isn't like her. Susan tells Libby this is where she says "I told you so". She tells her about Tom and the mess she's in.
Susan's
Susan says she's not sure who she is anymore. Her marriage broke down, her husband is having a baby with a woman half his age, she's seeing a man she can't have. Libby tells her she'll get through it. Karl comes over and says he's going to clean out the boxes from the spare room. He looks at Susan and can tell she's upset, he suggests he come back later. Susan tells him it's fine. Karl hands her some legal papers she has to sign.
Building Site
Jack tells Jim the equipment he's hired will be there in an hour and they can't do anything until then so he'll shout the guys to a coffee. Jim says there isn't enough work for the casuals and they should tell them so they can get work on another site.
Susan's
Libby is thinking about canceling her meeting to stay home with Susan. Susan says she wants her to go and take lots of notes and be safe. Libby says she taken every precaution and she holds up a red rose saying it's their I.D. to recognise each other. Libby leaves and Karl comes out of the spare room. Susan is reading the papers telling him it all seems straightforward. Karl says they're ending 30 years of marriage but it's not that straight forward. Karl and Susan hug. Susan asks him how they got like this - like strangers. Karl says they'll never be strangers they know eachother so well. They look at eachother for a bit then Karl goes back to his cleaning.
Pub
Lyn is telling Jack he can't keep doing what he's doing. He has responsibilities and he needs to live up to them. She suggests she calls Joe and gets him to ask Jim to take over. Jack says no, he can handle it and it won't happen again. Lyn is worried about how they are going to replace all the equipment, lost money and good will with their clients.
Coffee Shop
Libby is waiting with her red rose. AN elderly man walks in with a bunch of flowers. He walks up to Libby and says hi. Libby lies saying she isn't Libby but then tells him the truth that she isn't interested in dating him. The man says she's just waiting for his daughter who he's meeting and asks her the time.
Susan's
Karl walks out with his boxes. There's an awkward silence between him and Susan then Karl leaves.
Coffee Shop
Libby is still waiting when Darren walks in and sits next to her. He tells her he'll make himself scarce when her date arrives. He asks Libby if he's been held up saying Erinsborough is a busy place. Libby asks him why he's hanging around and if he's trying to ruin her chances. Darren says she can do that herself. He tells her he thinks she's making up the story about having a date with a mystery man. Libby says the only mystery is why she's still talking to him.
Pub Office
Darren is on the computer when Libby walks in. She tells him she never mentioned the guy was a mystery man and there's only one way he could have known that.
Hoylands
Lisa has written a spell for Summer.
"Powers of nature please hear this passage
And make sure Declan gets our message.
Powers of everything smooth or rough,
Tell him for Summer he's just not good enough"
Summer still is convinced but Lisa persuades her that Declan isn't good enough for her. Lisa says it's worked for her mum and she's had hundreds of boyfriends. Lisa says all they have to do now is get a lock of Declan's hair to personalise the spell otherwise it could be aimed at every Declan in the world.
Pub Office
Libby wants to know why Darren did what he did. If it was to make a fool out of her? She says she wouldn't have turned up if she know it was him. Darren says that's why he did it. He knew she would never of gone out with him so he tried to make her see that he's changed. Libby says he just created a guy he knew she'd like. Darren says that not it. He just crested a way for her to see him. Libby says not that's she's met her mystery man he's not nearly as cute as she thought he's be. Darren asks her for a second chance. Libby smiles.
Coffee Shop
Jack tells Mac about the theft at the site and the lecture Lyn gave him. Mac says she'll take him clubbing tonight to take his mind off it. Jack sys he can't he has to turn up for work on time tomorrow. Mac says if money is a problem she can loan him some. She asks him if $500 is enough. Jack jokes saying how about an even grand. Mac pulls out a wad of $100 notes and hands him $1000.
Susan's
Tom comes over saying he came as quickly has he could but he had to fill in for the hospital rounds. He says as a result he hasn't had a chance to speak to Therese. Susan says that's not why she called him over.
SUSAN: It's this situation between us. It's just wrong. I can't live like this. It's over, Tom.
