Recap
- Connor hastily agreeing to be given a makeover by Michelle.
- Lori introducing Connor to his daughter Maddy.
Lassiter's Hotel Lobby
Connor and Michelle are obviously both shell shocked. Lori says that they're here for a visit - she was going to call...but, well here they are. To break the ice - she enquires Connor about the make-up, are they going to a costume party? Needless to say he just utterly bewildered.
CONNOR: See, I thought you didn't want to...
LORI: Well, I did.
She asks Connor if he wants to hold Maddy, but Michelle says they have to get going. Lori says they'll catch up later at Connor's house.
Coffee Shop
Summer and Gus are discussing the prospect of Summer getting a puppy. Max apparently is not too keen on the idea. She wonders if threatening to go and live with Rosie would work...but then realises that Rosie probably wouldn't let her have a dog either. Gus offers to surprise Summer with a dog as a gift, as Max couldn't possibly say no to a "gorgeous little puppy once he sees it." Summer is stoked at the idea.

To demonstrate how good she is with dogs, Summer has gone and groomed and dressed up Harvey in a beautiful silver satin bow, showing Max and Steph the trick that she taught him...however her trick of fetching Max's slippers doesn't exactly work. Nevertheless, she's still enthusiastic about getting a puppy and asks Max...several times and each time he says no. Summer is definitely not impressed. "I brushed him, I fed him, I walked him twice." However he is persistent and says that when Izzy moves out in a few months, then they'll think about getting a puppy. Summer is not happy at all, replying that Boyd got some new football boots.
During this time, Max had been changing the lounge room ceiling light on a step ladder. As Summer lists the excellent qualities that a dog can bring (lowering heart pressure), Max angrily turned around and unfortunately slipped and flew into the air, landing in a heap on the floor. Steph and Summer quickly run to his aid.
Ramsay Street
Michelle, upset, asks Connor whether or not he knew about Lori's baby. Connor (while wiping away his mascara on a rag) answers that he rang her parent's house several times, but they would not tell him anything. Michelle is concerned, wondering what Lori is doing here - even wondering if Lori has come back to get Connor to marry her. Connor seems quite convinced that's not what she is for and tells Michelle that he wants to talk with Lori alone as it is his problem.

Max is now safely on the couch, though deeply winded. Summer apologies saying that it's all her fault, but Max says that it's not. Steph wants to go and call Karl, but Max in a manly fashion declares that he is alright - he does want some tea though.
No 30.
Little Maddy has the hiccups, but Lori doesn't know how to get rid of them. Connor straight up asks all his questions - What's she doing here? What does she want? Why didn't she tell him? Why didn't she return her calls? Why now?
CONNOR: "Did you just expect just to show up out of the blue and to dump all this heavy parental stuff on me and expect me to play happy families?"
Scullys
Lyn and Valda are rehearsing their speeches for the conclusion of 'Making Mansions'. They are fairly pull-your-heart-string type speeches about family, closeness, fulfilling life experiences - however Lyn can't lie, as having Oscar was a lifetime experience! Valda says not to worry as it's reality television. "It doesn't have to be true, it just has sound good!" We soon hear a 'Ma' as Jack walks into the door asking Lyn if she's busy.
LYN:(following Valda's advice) "Oh for you, my darling, light of my life, never! Come here my love because I feel so much closer to you, now that we've renovated the house together."
MICHELLE: "Lori's come back to Erinsborough."
JACK: "What? Where is she?"
MICHELLE: "Over at Number 30...introducing Connor to his new baby daughter."
No 30.
Lori tells Connor that having Maddy was the right thing to do, as once she got back home she knew what she wanted - ultimately, it was her decision. Connor says that he would have helped her out if she'd really wanted.
LORI: "You didn't really want a baby did you? Honestly?"
CONNOR: "I would have done what was right if you'd given me the chance."
LORI: "I needed you to want her. You know not act like out some sense of duty."
LORI: "You have a daughter Connor. You know, I just thought that maybe you'd like to get her to know her. And yeah okay I should have involved you from the start. And yep, the timing is lousy. But that's just the way it worked out. You know it's up to you if want to let that get in the way of you being a father."
This time he gives Maddy a cuddle when Lori offers - she's so light, 13 pounds. She doesn't know how long she'll be in town and mentions that she has friends from London in town and will go and visit them next week to show off Maddy. Although it's a pretty short time, she needs to know where Connor stands on this.

Valda is not too impressed with Connor's behaviour, remarking "that once there's another woman on the scene, you cannot rely on a man to be there for you no matter how much you think you love each other." Michelle is defiant that she and Connor do love each other and that it was not his fault, as Lori didn't even tell him about having the baby. Jack, taking it all in asks how Lori and the baby are. Michelle retorts that he should go see her.
Ramsay Street
JACK: "Lori!"
LORI: "Jack!"
They are obviously happy to see one another. The camera pans to Gus holding a black puppy heading into the Hoylands' house.

Steph asks Max if he would like to do anything today - Max, in obvious discomfort lying on the coach says no and Steph suggests that they go and see Karl. Hearing a knock upon the door, Summer goes and answers it - it's Gus with the cute black puppy. He announces that he came to completely surprise Summer with it. Max forcefully says that the dog is going back where it came from, saying that Summer should know better than manipulate Gus into getting the puppy for her. Not agreeing, she takes the puppy and barricades them into her room.

Lyn is brushing Michelle's hair, comforting her. Michelle is troubled about Lori's hidden agenda, knowing that Connor would go and be with the baby.

Knocking on Summer's door he announces that she's too old for this. Gus apologies saying it's his fault, but Max says Summer should know better. She finally comes out of her room and determinedly is not going to give the puppy back. Max wants her to apologise to Gus and for taking advantage of the situation. Gus takes the puppy and says it's alright, but Max says that Summer must learn. Very angrily in the only way a teenage girl can, she hisses that she hates Max and runs out of the house.
Coffee Shop
Jack whilst holding Maddy, says that she is absolutely beautiful. Jack asks about Connor - Lori says he's pretty angry with her just turning up out of the blue. Jack doesn't blame him, no call or anything. Lori aks how Michelle is handling it - if she knew they were together, she would not have come back.
JACK: "No buts Lori. I think what you've done is very brave. And you have a beauitful little girl."
She grins and Jack says that he'll always be here for her.

Gus again apologises to Max about the puppy before he leaves. He asks Steph how Summer is doing - she's sulking outside and says that he'll talk to her later. He asks Steph if he thinks he's an ogre for handling Summer like that. Steph agrees a teeny bit, as she had never seen Max do the 'tough love' thing before.
Ramsay Street
Gus and Summer discuss the puppy situation. They agree that it was a bad idea, however Gus suggests secret plan in order for Summer to keep the puppy. He suggests that the puppy stay in Gus' room at the pub, until Max comes around to the idea and she can visit him whenever she wants. Summer is over the moon and names the puppy Shadow.
The camera cuts to Connor and Michelle who were going to see each other respectively. Connor and Michelle head into the Scullys.

Valda had been directing Lyn on the direction of a picture frame on the wall. Valda takes this moment to realise that her portrait of her is missing. Luckily before Lyn can answer this, Connor and Michelle walk through the door. Connor gives Michelle the decision to leave the relationship, if she wants. She starts to get teary as she thought that Connor was going to leave her - he explains that Lori just wanted him to be part of Maddy's life and that's it. Relieved, they embrace.
