Scott's trying to stand on his head, when Toadie gets up to tell him to go to bed so that he can look fresh for court. Scott talks constantly of life in 'the big house' , but Toadie reassures him that if he apologises for wasting court time, he will be leniently dealt with, since it's his first offence. Scott just says he knows but looks apprehensive.
Kennedys'
Lyn, Susan, Sindi and Liljana get back very happy from their night out and chatter excitedly about Brent and their time out, especially Susan's powers of attraction. Susan tells them she's not up for a relationship. David's outside listening, joined by Jack as they listen to the women comment on the night. Lil does an impersonation of his dancing, amid raucous laughter from the others.
Scullys/Bishops'
Scenes cut to and fro from the two houses as david and Jack question Liljana and Lyn about various remarks they've heard them make. Lyn persuades Jack to teach her 'funky' dances until he leaves her on her own, while Liljana gives up trying to persuade David and whirls around as he sleeps on the lounge.
Following morning outside the Bishops'
Liljana's in dark glasses and moving gingerly towards the newspaper, as Serena catches her up, saying she looks like the living dead. Serena goes over to talk to Scott, expecting to hear about some stupid prank he's trying to impress her with. But he's very flat and apart from saying he has to go to court, hardly replies as she probes to see what's wrong. She takes him to buy him a coffee.
Coffee Shop
Scott tells Serena that Toadie doesn't know but he does have prior offences - this is the third time he's been caught. The last judge said he'd be locked up if he did anything else. He starts to get excited and shows her his 'volcano, which means blowing through the straw into his drink, which goes all over the table. Serena, taken by surprise, blurts out 'You moron, don't you ever think?', but regrets it when he takes off quickly.
Lou's Place
Connor's tidying up when Michelle arrives. He says that he was going to call her to tell her something, but she believes she already knows, that it's about Carmella. He begins to say yes, but there's something about him and her, when she mentions that Jack has told her something. He stammers out that he was lonely when she went away and he needed a friend. He tells Michelle that Lori was pregnant and he didn't handle it well. He tried to make up for it but couldn't. Lori didn't want to know and went back to new Zealand, having decided no tto have the baby. Michelle retorts angrily that she'd come back thinking everything would be the same, but he's changed.

Sindi arrives to wish Scott good luck, but Toadie doesn't now where he is. He's ready to wash his hands of him, but Sindi points out that he's just a kid. Serena arrives to look for Scott as she was mean to him after he pulled a stunt she didn't like. Sindi suggests they stop talking and start looking.
Scullys'
Jack's changed into his 'renovation clothes and Lyn's come home without a second piece of chocolate cake, but Sindi hasn't arrived. Michelle's very quiet and Jack guesses that Connor has told her. She isn't terribly receptive to his attempts to help - just as Lyn wanders through saying 'TV people only think of themselves'.
Toadie and Sindi spot Scott and race off in hot pursuit.
Scullys'
Jack and another man carry in a new lounge, although Sindi isn't there to film it as was planned. Lyn sees that Michelle's a bit down and guesses that things have gone wrong with 'a certain Irish boy'. Michelle just tells her she's changed her mind.
Court
Toadie tells the court that Scott realises he's made a serious error and recommends that since it is a first offence, he be dealt with leniency. The judge interrupts contradicts him, saying he is set on a path to delinquency, having previously sprayed a moving train with graffiti and played 'chicken' with a car while riding a skateboard in the street.
In reply to the judge's comment that Scott is a danger to himself and others, Toadie tells the court that he's a dynamo, who has to be on the move all the time but is kindhearted. His crimes aren't dishonesty and he exhibits lots of the behaviours consistent with a diagnosis of ADHD. When asked by the judge, he tells her that Scott needs further treatment and tests, a stable home with him, school or some form of tutoring and time.
The judge sees that Scott shows no remorse, so she says that there's only one place he's fit to be....

Scott's playing wildly in the lounge when Sindi arrives to congratulate them on the court's win. Scott thinks that saying he'd be assessed and go to school was a lie, but Toadie insists that he will do it. Sindi points out that Toadie helped him and deserves to be thanked until Toadie gives him an ultimatum - he'll do what's right or leave.
Street
Serena catches up with Scott who insists he's leaving. Serena tries to persuade him and gets through as soon as she says she'll help him.
SERENA: Just as friends
SCOTT: OK, just a pash then.
SERENA: In your dreams!
SCOTT: Actually in my dreams, we're totally...
SERENA: Are you gonna stay or not?
SCOTT: Yeah, all right.
SERENA: Good. For God's sake, do up your fly.

Toadie is wondering to Sindi whether it's the right thing to do and whether he can keep Scott on the straight and narrow. Sindi gives him Brownie points for trying, to which he replies that he wouldn't have if it hadn't been for her. They go a bit quiet after the banter and talk nervously and tensely as she goes to leave. Outside, she looks back at the closed front door and Toadie looks at it from inside, until he opens it, she comes in and they kiss......
