Hoylands
Lyn tells Max it's time she was going. Max apologises to Lyn and says he knows she's trying to help but they have to deal with this on their own. Lyn says that Steph is her daughter and she can't help worrying about her. Max asks her if she can forget it ever happened. Lyn reminds Max to put the leftovers in the fridge and leaves.

Kennedys
Karl is enjoying his freedom by dancing around the lounge room in his underwear singing (and slightly out of tune).

Scullys
Lyn apologises to Steph for telling Max off. Steph says she knew she shouldn't have told Lyn. Lyn apologises again saying she tried really hard to stop herself but she just has such strong feelings on the issue that she wanted to grab Max by the scruff of the neck. Lyn says she was too shocked to remember how Max told her to but out and she only said something because she loves Steph so much but it will never ever happen again. Steph says 'good' then pulls Lyn into a hug.

Hoylands
Max is staring out the window. Izzy comes in talking about dirty washing. Izzy tells Max she can hear him thinking. Max tells her that he and Steph were talking about having kids and he'd never really thought about having another family, he has his hands full with Summer and Boyd.

MAX: I don't know what to do
IZZY: Just don't be talked into something you don't want to do.
MAX: I don't want to lose her, that's what I don't want.
IZZY: The trouble is, even if she does see your point of view...
MAX: What?
IZZY: She might have taken steps before hand.
MAX: What steps?
IZZY: Max, it's not hard for a woman to accidentally find herself pregnant. It does happen all the time.
MAX: No, Steph wouldn't do that
IZZY: Of course not. Sorry. You guys will work it out, you always do.

House of Trouser
Toadie and Stuart are watching a movie trying to pick the mistakes. The boys comment on how Bob and the dog Stu brought with him look like the best of friends. Taj walks in telling Stu it's good to see him. He asks the boys why the henchmen are out the front. Toadie tells him they are Rocco's men as he thinks that Connor had something to do with Carmella's running away, he tells Taj Connor and Carmella are staying at a mates place. He asks the boys how Christmas was. Stu tells them he had to fish Kev out of a dumpster. Toadie asks Taj how his Christmas was. Taj tries to change the subject but eventually tells Stu about how he cheated on his exams and he chickened out of telling his parents.

Hoylands
Izzy goes outside to hang up the washing and sees Summer kissing and orange. Izzy tells her she used to practice on a basket ball and she even put a nose on it to get the head tilt right. Izzy says the head tilt is important as they don't want the boys leading the way. Summer says she's not sure, she thinks she went left instead of right. Izzy asks if it was Declan she's talking about. Summer tells her that last night on the couch they kissed and it was horrible and maybe Declan was right, maybe she does kiss like a fish. Izzy hugs her.

House of Trouser
Taj tells Toadie and Stu that his Christmas was horrible and as soon as he got to his parent's place they started making phone calls telling everyone how well he did and his mum even through a surprise party for him. Toadie asks him what he is going to do now. Taj says he has to ring the education board and tell them. He takes the phone and rings them saying he needs to speak to someone about the stolen exam papers as he was part of the scam.

Hoylands
Outside, Izzy is telling Summer about her horror kissing stories about bumping noses, forgetting to breath and almost passing out and the time she 'snotted' on a guy. Izzy says she ran off crying when she should have laughed about it. Max walks through the gate and listens to Izzy and Summer. Izzy tells Summer that Kissing is meant to be fun and if she wants to giggle then giggle. Max makes a noise and they jump. Summer tells Izzy not to say anything to Max then goes inside. Max asks Izzy if she was telling Summer that Kissing is meant to be fun and says she's to young. Izzy tells Max that Summer had her first kiss and it was a disaster. Max asks her if it was Declan and wants to know what else Summer told her. Izzy tells Max that nothing happened, they just bumped noses and she was just trying to make her feel better. Max asks Izzy why Summer didn't go to him. Izzy says the he can't stop her from growing up. Izzy notices Summer listening. Summer gets angry and runs inside.

House of Trouser
Taj says he just hung up from the film school, he told them he couldn't except but didn't tell them why. He says he still has the job at Lassiters for now.

Hoylands
Summer is doing her hair. Max tells her it looks nice. Summer is about to walk out but Max tells her not to be angry with Izzy as he made her tell him. He tells Summer if she has feelings for Declan or any other boy she can come and tell him about it. Summer reminds him that he's a boy and it's easier to talk to Steph or Izzy.

MAX: OK, but I can still talk to you about the changes you're going through, princess.
SUMMER: I've already learnt about that in school
MAX: I'm not just talking about the physical changes, I'm talking about the sometimes exciting but sometimes scary journey...
SUMMER: Dad you're going to have to stop before you start embarrassing yourself.

Coffee Shop
Karl walks in and goes to talk to Izzy who walks straight passed him. Joe asks Karl if he's climbing the walls missing Susan. Karl says it is a bit quiet. Joe then asks about Karl's patient. Karl tells him she's doing ok. Joe leaves and Karl asks Izzy if she wants to play pool when she's finished. Izzy tells him she can't talk now. Karl tells her he thought they sorted things out they are just friends and she can't pretend he doesn't exist. Izzy says she doesn't have time for this now. Karl leaves.

Hoylands
Izzy comes home and tries to talk to Summer. Summer doesn't say anything. Izzy tells her she got something for her and pulls out a chocolate covered donut. Summer doesn't respond. Izzy says it's ok and she'll eat it. Izzy takes a bite. Summer tells her she's just doing it to make her talk. Izzy tells her it worked. Summer asks Izzy why she told on her. Izzy says she didn't and Max is her dad and he just wanted to make sure everything was all right but she didn't tell him everything. Summer tells her she's never going to be able to tell her secrets again. Izzy looks over at a pile of magazines and grabs one. She puts her hand on it and says "I solemnly swear on this stack of teen girl magazines that I will never betray the sanctity of the girly chat, so help me God"Summer giggles. Izzy hands her the donut and tells her she has something else for her. She gives Summer some Vanilla lip-gloss for "Kiss Readiness" Summer thanks her and tells her she's been thinking about the whole head tilt thing and she's definitely a right. Izzy tells her it's the same as her.

Outside Lassiters
Toad and Stuart see Taj and tells him they are going to the pub if he wants to join them later. Taj says no, he says what's happened is just starting to sink in. All he waned to do was go to film school. Stuart tells him they all make mistakes. Taj tells them boys it's like the universe is rubbing his nose in it a big movie producer is staying at the hotel.

STUART: What if we could get this guy to notice the brilliant up and coming moviemaker
TOADIE: Then we'd be able to fast track him right into the industry. Wonder power twins activate!
Taj tells them that they can't just walk about to him. Toadie says he's an artistic type and it'll be ok if you do it right. What have you got to use. Taj says his dignity. Stu says they'll do anything to help. Taj tells them that's what he's afraid of.

Kennedys
Karl is on the phone making calls to old friends. One has moved to California, the other is busy babysitting. Karl is then sitting on the toilet reading the paper.

Scullys
Karl tells Joe he has two words for him "Static Crow". Joe looks confused but finally gets it Status Quo. They both start playing air guitar. Karl says it's a Status Quo tribute band and asks Joe if he wants to go and see it tonight. Lyn asks Karl how his patient is doing. Karl says she's resting comfortably. Karl asks Joe what he thinks about going out. Joe looks at Lyn and says he can't he hasn't spent much time with Lyn and they are just going to have a quiet night in. Lyn tells Karl he's welcome to stay. Karl leaves and Lyn tells Joe she has a bad feeling. Joe tells her to stop.

Kennedys
Karl is on the phone to another mate and they agree to have lunch tomorrow. Karl gets off the phone and tells Dahl he's hit pay dirt. Karl takes the watch he bought for Susan for Christmas and stares at it.

Pub
Steph is eating dinner. Max comes back in and apologies for having to sort out the late delivery. Steph asks him if his meal is cold. Max tells her it's ok. Steph and Max go to talk at the same time. Max tells Steph to go first.

STEPH: Yeah, well, we've been avoiding this long enough now.
MAX: Yeah, we need to clear the air. Did your mum tell you what she said to me?
STEPH: I'm really sorry about what mum said to you. You're right it's none of her business and I want you to know I don't feel guilty, in your debt or anything
MAX: I want us to be equals.
STEPH: I know that.
MAX: Look, your opinion is just as valid as mine Steph... about anything, everything, we're equals.
STEPH: Yeah, So we really have to come to some sort of decision about this.
MAX: Absolutely. I mean who knows what the future may hold...accidents happen.
STEPH: Accidents?
MAX: Look I don't mean on purpose or anything but you know... you've got to be prepared for anything, everything
STEPH: Are you implying that I'd fall pregnant deliberately to try and trick you?
MAX: Steph, I just want to know deep down, once and for all what you're feeling. What's in your heart.
STEPH: Are you sure you really want to know?
MAX: Tell me honestly, unadulterated.
STEPH: Well I have been thinking about this not surprisingly. Max, I can't see my future without kids of my own, even if it means losing you.
