Recap
Susan calls Candice a pariah, but Karl makes her leave. Harold tries to persuade Lou not to approach a lady in the pub, but Lou doesn't listen. Connor tells Michelle that he loves her, but that he is breaking up with her so she can concentrate on her studies.
Coffee Shop
Harold and Lou sit and drink coffee. They calculate that Rosie would be on the plane by now if Stuart's Limo held out. They agree that she was a good friend, and laugh over their petty fights over her. They agree never again. Lou tells Harold that he's planning on meeting Dorothy again, but Harold isn't so sure on the idea.
Number 28
Karl oversleeps allowing Susan to make him an apology breakfast for the argument they had over Candace. He tells her that he just doesn't see anything negative against her, and jokes about how he was really looking forward to hating her, but he just doesn't. They agree to disagree.
Number 30
Toadie comes through with some micro-waved snacks and he and Stuart settle down to watch the footie. The knock at the door is responded by a yell of 'it's open', so Connor comes on through. He tells them he's broken up with Michelle, and they tell him to join them as it'll open him up to a world of beer and footie. Stuart asks if he's got time off as he was planning to go somewhere north to a tropical island with surf, sea and sand, so they can watch footie on a beach TV and think of their friends back home in the cold. Connor admits he's skint. Another knock on the door is yet again responded with the familiar 'it's open'. They are so lucky they don't have awkward sales people living in Erinsborough. This time its Boyd who comes to join them to watch the footie, as Max has taken Summer off somewhere to cheer her up since Rosie's departure.
Number 26
Michelle tells Valda that Connor broke up with her and that she just feels confused. Valda tells her that she had a romance when she was Michelle's age, and they were really happy for two months, but then when she needed him the most he left her. Michelle asks if she still remembers him, and Valda tells Michelle that she's reminded of him every day! She tells Michelle not to let him walk away. Joe arrives, and is sad to hear that Connor has broken up with Michelle, but when Valda suggests that Michelle should fight for him, Joe gets angry and tells her it's not worth it.
Number 30
Toadie, Stuart and Boyd are all getting worked up about the footie, but Connor is completely lost. Stuart tries explaining how free kicks work to Connor, though it is clear he is as lost as any non-Aussie. Boyd reminds them of the free kick scenario of the '87 final, which impresses Toadie greatly. There's a knock at the door, followed by the 'it's open' yell. This time it's Sindi who tells Toadie she is bored, but Toadie admits he's having a bloke's day with the footie. Sindi admits she loves the footie and takes centre spot on the sofa.
Number 26
Joe explains to Lyn how Connor has broken up with Michelle, and now Valda is just giving her ideas about how to get back together with him. He tells Lyn he doesn't like the way Valda is constantly interfering with their lives.
LYN: I'll have a quiet word with her, tell her how we feel.
JOE: You need a megaphone to have a quiet word with that woman, Lynnie.
Coffee Shop
Karl notices Harold wearing a hole in the coffee shop counter. Harold admits he's on another planet and asks Karl for advice. He tells Karl that he has previously dated the lady Lou is dating and that she has a secret side. Although we don't hear what the secret is, Karl advises Harold to let Lou discover it for himself, as he's a big enough man.
Number 26
Valda tells Michelle that she will take her for some retail therapy, to cheer her up. Michelle isn't so sure, but Valda tells her that if they buy her something nice, then Connor will see what he's missing. Michelle goes to get ready, leaving Lyn to talk to Valda. She tells Valda that Michelle needs parental guidance, not someone giving her false hope. Valda tells Lyn she's being a friend for Michelle, but Lyn tells her she's not a parent so she wouldn't understand. Valda explains that she's trying her best. Michelle returns to find Valda walking off. Lyn admits that she said something, which needed to be said.
Number 30
Sindi is asking lots of questions about the footie, but reasons that if she doesn't ask questions, she'll never learn. Sindi goes to get a drink, and Stuart complains to Toadie about her, but Boyd reckons she's 'fine'. Stuart and Toadie begin to tease him, and Stuart warns him not to let his hormones take over.
Number 28
Karl arrives back and tells Susan he has gossip. She asks if it's about Candace, but he tells her it isn't, but that it is still good gossip.
Lou's Place Office
Valda is crying over an old black and white photo of a young girl. Lou comes in and finds her but she tells him she just needed some quiet time and leaves.
Number 30
It's half time at the footie so the boys head outside. Sindi tells them she'll join them, even though she's wearing heals.
Ramsay Street
Coming down the driveway, Stuart passes to Boyd, who passes back to Stuart. Running out to the street Stuart passes a long shot to Boyd, who just misses. It's picked up by Stuart, who delivers it to Boyd, who kicks it down to Toadie. Toadie slices a long kick, which is neatly caught by Karl coming up from behind. Karl takes a kick, and Sindi claims it as hers. She slowly picks it up and almost stopping the flow, takes a kick but her shoe comes off. The kick goes no-where so Boyd goes to collect it, returning Sindi's shoe to her in the process. Boyd passes back to Stuart and the game continues. Michelle watches from the Scully window, as Connor sits with Bob.
Number 30
They all pile back in, minus Connor, as the second half of the footie begins, but unfortunately Sindi has to leave to get ready for her date with Toadie that evening. Boyd also leaves, offering to walk with Sindi to her car. Stuart tells Toadie to stop letting Sindi walk all over him. Stuart gets a call from his mum, asking him to come home to Oakey, during his time off. Toadie asks him what happened to the 'tropical island' idea.
Lou's Place
Lou asks Valda why she's looked so down, but she won't tell him, and instead instructs him to go on home. Lyn arrives and tells Valda that she was sorry about what happened before, and reassures her that she doesn't want her to leave.
Number 28
Lou drops over some documents for Karl. He and Susan invite him in for a coffee, but he tells them he has a date with Dorothy at her place and can't stay. Lou leaves; Karl and Susan cringe.
Number 30
Toadie is getting ready for his night out with Sindi. Stuart asks him if he reckons he reminds him of Dee. He advises Toadie to look carefully at where he's going or he's blowing any chance he's got of getting Dee back.
