Recap
- Libby tells Stu she can re-arrange her schedule to pick Ben up.- Michelle answering the phone call from the immigration department.
Connor asks why they are calling, as they both look shocked. Michelle tells him that they want to speak to Joe about him. Connor tells her that he's done nothing wrong but Michelle insists that they check his visa documents just to make sure.
It's Bib's last night in Australia, and Stu and Toadie are saying goodbye. Bob and Bib are sitting together and they keep confusing themselves about which dog is which. They confirm the dogs identity by saying that Bib is the well mannered dog.
Connor and Michelle are going through his travel documents, they notice on his work visa that he is only allowed to work with the same employer for three months. Michelle repetitively asks 'who would have dobbed him in. Joe pops in and head's for the fridge. Michelle tells him that he should be at the Kennedys for dinner but Joe just says that he's back for a minute to get Lyn's iced tea. Neither of them mentions the phone call from the immigration department.
Toadie is packing Bib's stuff in his travel basket with his blankets and chocolate drops. He asks Stu if he's seen Bib's rubber duck. Stu just laughs and tells Toadie that he has been using it in the bathtub, and then they both start to pat Bib and tell him what a good dog he is. Bob watches them and looks slightly put out (well as much as a dog can! ) Then there is a knock on the door, and Stu answers the door to bring back Michelle and Connor. Michelle asks Toadie if she can ask some questions about immigration for an assignment she is doing. He tells her that he doesn't know a lot about immigration but to fire away anyway. Michelle hesitates before asking 'when someone breaches a law on their visa, what happens to them?' Toadie tells Michelle that the immigration departments are buggers and they come down quite hard on people who break the law. Stu begins to tell Michelle and Connor about his brother who breached his visa and got deported (having to pay his own way) barred from the country and received a fine. Michelle and Connor glance at each other uncomfortably. Toadie asks Connor if there's something wrong and they both deny it, and excuse themselves.
Karl and Libby get out of the car. They have just been to the train station to put Susan on the Ballarat train. They both joke around saying that the train arrived before they could get yet another lecture on "Candice Barkingam." Stu walks over to Libby and says hello. Lib gives him a quick hello, and gets Ben out of the car. There is tension in the air before Karl asks Libby if he's seen Ben's bottle. Stuart becomes uncomfortable tells Libby that he'll see her around, and the Kennedys head inside.
Michelle and Connor are walking back to the Scullys and they see a flash car parked out the front. Connor points out to Michelle that it could be a door-to-door salesman, but Michelle tells him that it's not likely and to just to keep watch.
The man from immigration is talking to Joe and Lyn, about Connor's stay. He tells them that he rang last night, and a young woman picked up the phone, telling him that the message will be passed on. Joe apologizes saying they never got the message and that Michelle probably forgot to mention it. When the man asks about Connor working for Joe they confirm that he has been working for Joe for at least 6-8 months. The man from immigration informs Joe that Connor shouldn't have worked with him for longer than three months and that both he and Connor have breached the contract. He give Joe and Lyn a card and tells them that Connor should call him ASAP, and that Joe and Lyn would be facing a fine for keeping him employed. He concludes his visit by saying that the longer Connor doesn't call, the worse it's going to look for him.
Karl asks Libby if everything is all right with her and Stuart. Libby reminds him that everything is fine and to stop hinting, because her and Stu are just friends. Karl nods, and says if she ever needs to talk, that she could talk to him. Lib doesn't take much notice as she looks at the 'to do list' on the fridge from Susan. She reads the list to Karl saying that they need to clean the boxes from the basement out and throw them away. Karl offers her lunch at the coffee shop, then to get to work on the boxes and Libby accepts.
Toadie is telling Bib about Sarah being highly-strung and tempered. Stu says goodbye to Bib and Toadie asks if he is picking Ben up from cr?che. Stu shakes his head and tells him that Lib is picking him up. Out of nowhere he asks Toadie he knew that Dee was 'the one' Toadie look confused but tells him that she is the best woman he has ever met, and that he should feel the same way about 'the one.' He then asks Toadie what would happen if he met someone else, but Toadie laughs and tells him that it would never happen. Stu looks pensive.
Michelle and Connor are in a payphone talking to Joe. He asks them why Connor isn't at work and Michelle at school. Michelle says that she had a free period and asks if that guy that was in the nice car was from immigration. Joe tells her to never mind and to let him talk to Connor. Michelle is persistent and wants to know the truth. He tells her yes. Connor asks Michelle to ask Joe is he's in trouble, and Joe tells her that they will have it sorted out in 24 hours. He tells her again to get back to school and work but Michelle simply apologizes and hangs up the phone. They walk down the street and she tells him that they could deport him 24 hours time. She then notices the truck. Connor knows what she's looking at and tells her that it's not fully his truck yet, it is still part Stuart's. Michelle reminds him it's almost paid for, and the next scene you see them driving down a dirt road.
Stu comes in angrily with a note from Connor saying that he borrowed the truck. He then notices Toadie being a little quiet and remembers that Bib went to London. Stuart asks Toadie if he's ok and he tells him that he's ok...and his still got Bob. They sit on the couch and call Bob who are at their feet. Bob won't come to either of them. Stu then calls him Bib and he answers him by standing up. Toadie and Stu look at each other horrified.
Libby and Karl are sitting at the coffee shop having lunch. Libby keeps talking about Susan and how she's not like a mother but a best friend. While she is talking you can see that Karl is slightly hurt.
Michelle and Connor get out of the truck. Connor tells Michelle that running away isn't the answer and that it will do more harm than good. Michelle insists that there not running away, just buying them some time. She reminds him that she won't be able to get to Ireland if he gets deported and they may never see each other again.
Under Susan's orders they are cleaning out the boxes. Karl finds his old slides, and offers to show them to Lib. Libby makes up some excuse that she needs to wash her hair. Karl just laughs and tells Lib that he has to do his nails. He tells Libby that with Susan away that he was hoping to do some catching up, but with how Libby was going on about Susan being her best friend, and him still in the 'dad' status. Libby gave him a warm smile and told him that she loved him, but it only felt like Susan was like a friend because of the memory loss, but Karl was strong and simple and will always be dad. Karl repeated 'strong and simple' and nodded happy with what his daughter said. He offers to watch some old slides and this time Lib agrees, picking the holiday in 1988 where Karl broke his toe. He laughs and tells her it was a good choice.
Stu is sitting nervously on the couch while Toadie gives the dog a bath. Toadie comes bounding out with the dog in is arms. Yes it's Bob! Stu grins as they sit him on the couch. Toadie gives him a big hug and tells him that he was almost going on a trip to the airport. Stu gives him some food and Bob begins to eat. They call his name bur he doesn't respond, but they say Bib and his ears twitch. Toad and Stu look confused but Bob growls and they smile saying only Bob was that rude.
Lyn is getting worried about Connor and Michelle wondering why they aren't back yet. Joe tells Lyn that they're probably at some coffee shop plucking up the nerve to ring immigration, and that she need to learn to put a little trust in things. (I had to laugh at that because it was a complete role reversal!) Lyn can't believe how calm he is and Joe just shrugs. 'Well if they're not home soon, they miss my brilliant cooking.
Connor and Michelle have checked in at a motel. Michelle can't believe that they mistaken that she was married to Connor, and they joke about her name being Michelle O'NeilL. She suddenly tells herself the answer is obvious, and gets down on one knee and proposes. Connor looks bewildered.
