Surgery
Serena admits that there was one time she popped out to get a coffee and left the surgery unattended for a while. She returned to find her desk was a mess, but didn't think anything had gone missing. Karl asks why she didn't report the incident earlier, but she didn't think there was a need. Karl asks Serena to leave the office and starts wondering if Darcy is able to see what is really going on. Darcy tells him there wouldn't be a problem if Karl hadn't judged her earlier.
DARCY: It's no wonder she's terrified to admit a genuine mistake.
KARL: A genuine mistake? I just don't think you can be objective about this girl.
DARCY: What? I'm not, and you are?
KARL: Darcy, you are a good doctor, but when it comes to women I think you hit puberty last week.
DARCY: And you act like you're still waiting for it to arrive
KARL: There you go, tit for tat, what am I talking about here?
DARCY: If it wasn't for your paranoid, prudish attitude, we wouldn't have a problem with Serena in the first place.
KARL: If it wasn't for you being led around by your libido, we wouldn't be facing a criminal investigation.
Darcy leaves, and Karl sits back at his desk. He calls the police.
Coffee Shop
Matt asks Steph if he can pop back home to pay the rent before they return to work after the coffees. He isn't able to go back at lunchtime, as he wants to go shopping so he can cook for them tonight. Steph comments that he may be taking things a bit far, but Matt explains he wants to stay on side so he has a place to bring 'friends' home to. He enquires how things are going with the guy Steph met, she tells him no-where, so he makes her ring him, he'll strike until she does. She is let off the hook when his phone is engaged, but Matt tells her they'll try again later.
Number 30
Dee opens the door to Em, who lets herself in to come and play with Bob. Dee and Toadie admit that they didn't quite plan on the visitors when letting Matt come to stay. As Em runs around chasing Bob and Audrey through the lounge, Toadie agrees that he'll talk to Matt about the possibility of moving out.
Coffee Shop
Karl tells Susan that the police will be coming to take statements, and probably be after an audit as well, but following the one they've just had from the medical board, he's not looking forward to it. Karl can't wait to see the back of Serena, but Susan points out it won't mean it's over.
SUSAN: So that would mean an apology to Darcy, would it?
Moco Van
Steph pulls up the van in a random place and calls Moco explaining that the address she's been given doesn't exist. Marc arrives and asks if she has eaten, inviting her to dine on a picnic with him he has made.
Picnic Spot
Soon after sitting down, Steph starts to make a move. She explains that she has to work but agrees to take some more of the picnic; for the road. Marc asks if she'd like to go out somewhere with him that evening, a proper date, he'll come and pick her up and everything.
Surgery
Karl shows the police out of the surgery before inviting his next patient through. Spotting that Serena isn't doing what she normally does, he comments that she could have come and asked for some more work to do. He comments that he will be more vigilant from then on. Karl enters his office, leaving her to explain to Darcy that she was looking up recipes for a patient.
Scullys
Steph lets slip to Susan and Lyn how Marc asked her our on a date, which she didn't decline. She wonders what he sees in her, and Susan remembers how all the guys in Ramsay Street were dropping like flies for her looks when Steph first arrived. Lyn thinks that she deserves to be spoilt and preferably by someone who isn't on first name terms with the parole officer. They wonder if they could get Steph to wear a dress.
Number 30
Em and Matt are playing golf around the house as Toadie arrives back. Matt gives Toadie that week's rent. Toadie asks him if he really moved in to get away from Evan, and Matt admits that he may have done, but it's time he moved out at his age anyway. Matt gets Em ready to go home leaving Toadie to slump onto the couch. He admits he's had a hard day at work.
Scullys
The girls arrive back from a wild shopping spree. It seems that Susan has spent quite a bit of money on Ben yet again, but she claims she can't help it. It's the grandmother effect. It would seem that Susan is a bit concerned for Libby and hopes she doesn't suffer from post-natal depression. Conversation soon turns back to Steph and the dress, though Steph warns them if they tease her too much the dress will be going back to the shop.
Number 30
Matt and Em have created a den in the front room, but Matt decides it's time to clear it up. Dee walks through to find the mess, and asks if Toadie has spoken to Matt. He informs her that they've talked, but they were going to leave it till after dinner as he was busy cooking. Dee explains how it feels as though the Hancock house has moved into number 30 and it wasn't what they had planned. Matt gets the message and continues to tidy up.
Surgery
Serena and Karl agree for her to terminate her contract and quit working. However Darcy doesn't agree and insists that as an equal partner, he should have a say. Karl informs Darcy that he needs someone he can trust with patients and drugs, but Darcy asks if he has any proof against Serena. Karl admits he hasn't.
DARCY: I can't help but think that if she was a 65 year old, grandmother of ten, you wouldn't be attacking her quite so vigorously.
KARL: If she was a 65 year old, grandmother of ten, you wouldn't be defending her so...
DARCY: I'm only defending her from your attack. Now why don't you just drop it, huh? So we can all get on with running a practice.
KARL: I hope she's worth it.
DARCY: She is!
Number 30
It would seem that Matt made a pretty impressive dinner, but it doesn't change the fact that they want him to move out. He reminds them how they agreed that he could have a week's trial, and if at the end of that they still want him out, then he'll leave. They agree to let him have the rest of the week. He runs off to get desert.
Scullys
Susan pops over to invite Lyn out to coffee with her and Karl. Steph appears in the dress and they marvel at how pretty she looks. There is a knock at the door, and Steph opens it to Marc, who comments on how wonderful she looks before mentioning that he was just thinking about going to the pub. Steph goes to get her bag leaving Marc to be questioned by Lyn. Susan drags her away leaving him to wait for Steph.
Coffee Shop
Susan admits that Darcy might be right; he can't sack her without any evidence. She mentions that maybe he should let her do her job, but Karl doesn't like the idea. Lyn comes over with the coffees and changes the subject. She isn't sure about Marc, something doesn't add up.
Scullys
As Steph rushes around madly trying to finish getting organised. Marc wonders if he should've dressed up more, as they can go out for dinner wherever she likes. He starts to get nervous and asks if they'd be able to see more of each other. Steph is puzzled why he's asking at the start of the date, and he admits he may not have a chance later. He kisses her.
