Tad is reading the paper, Harold asks if he is still thinking about moving out. Tad is checking the market, $100 a week for a shared house, but wonders what he would share with, Harold asks how he will afford it, Tad says he would have to starve. Harold asks if he would like to stay, Tad says he would if Harold does not mind as he has finished school, working more, at uni making new friends, and does not want to get into his hair. Harold says he is always welcome.
No 26
Joe reads Lyn his speech,
"As a candidate for local council, I will be campaigning on a platform that stands for improvement and reform. My policies will reflect the community's growing concerns on a number of issues, ranging from housing, public safety and the identification and implementation of viable strategies designed to combat the increase in local crime."
Lyn says it sounds good and wonders if he writes it, but it was done by Ian McAllister, another candidate, Joe is getting ideas for his campaign brief. Lyn asks if he has some ideas, but Joe is worried Karl is right and he is just a 1 trick pony, he does not know much about community issues. Lyn says he knows to ask the people that do know, and canvassed the other candidates shows he cares, Joe says he does care but he can only comment on building regulations. She asks him what about as a family man, he answers to keep working so he can put a roof over their heads and food on the table so everyone is happy.
Michelle walks in, she does not want to talk and goes to shower.
Joe, Michelle and Lyn are having breakfast, Michelle complains of being too sick to goto school, Joe says her temperature is OK and she has a pulse, so she has "schoolitus", she is annoyed, Joe apologizes before sending her on her way.
Lyn asks how Joe is getting on with the forms for council nominations, he says not exactly, she asks how committed he is, but he does not know if he is council type, she says local politician are just ordinary people, thats why they get voted in as other people can relate to them.
Street
Michelle says Elly made a really good job of convincing her she was a friend, and hopes she rotes in hell or Europe, Elly says Michelle has got it all wrong and Zac was coming onto her, and he is a sleaze. Michelle thinks they will be great together, after Michelle has gone she says she cannot wait until she leaves.
Tad asks if he can have a few friends over after uni, Harold agrees and offers some pastries, but Tad would rather junk food and beers but knows how Harold feels about alcohol, but Harold agrees if it is sensible. Tad tells Harold he is an absolute legend.
Coffee shop
Joe is on the phone to contractors organizing deliveries. Harold asks Joe if it is a busy day, Joe says it is. Harold wants to know if he is still thinking of running for council, Joe says he is. Harold wants him to try to save the local library, and they want to merge all the smaller ones. Joe says he was never much of a reader, Harold says think about the ones that are. Joe says maybe closing one or two will save more, Harold asks to discuss it further but Joe has to go back to site, and thanks him for making him feel more like a politician.
School
Elly is asking Zac, to tell Michelle the truth about dating Michelle. Michelle passes and says they are planning their next date. Elly tells Zac he is a creep and Michelle is better off without him, before leaving to see Michelle.
Elly tries to get Michelle to listen to her, but she will not. Elly is trying to convince Michelle that she did not invite Zac over, but Michelle thinks she was only friends was so she could get with Zac, Elly says that Zac wants to break up with her and has been bagging her around school.
No 26
Joe is explaining papers do not have to be filed to this afternoon.
Susan knocks on the door, she has a report about school garbage and she has an idea of how to save money for the council. But he wants facts and figures, which Susan says are in the report, she leaves the report with Joe, before leaving.
Lyn claims Joe sounds more like a politician every minute.
Coffee shop
Michelle greets Zac, she wants to know if they are still going out. He says did Elly not say, but she wants him to tell her, he says it's over between them, but will not explain why. Michelle wants to know if he prefers Elly, but he says no and there is no reason and he would rather be friends.
No 24
Cherry is knocking the Bee Gees, but Tad likes the sounds for sampling.
Harold arrives and Tad introduces him to Cherry, Slash and Nuts, but Harold has to go to the shelter and organize some things.
Harold arrives back home and enters knocking over a bottle, Tad stands up to clean up the mess, and asks how he went at the shelter, Harold says he did everything he wanted and how did Tad get on, Tad did OK and made no mess.

Everyone starts to leave as Harold says don't leave on my part, then starts to tidy up as everyone goes, but Tad says he will.
Tad asks if Cherry can stay for the night as she missed her bus.
No 26
Lyn says they need to start their plans for campaign trail and they should ask Flick, Michelle says if she can sell "Grapa" stuff then she can make dad look good, Joe is grateful for her support and Lyn thinks she should goto bed.
Lyn answers the door, it's Susan for Michelle, they leave to talk in the kitchen, she wants to know why Elly and Michelle have fallen out, and wants Michelle to go easy as Elly says things she does not mean, and she is missing her mum. Also as she will be there for at least 6 months, so she needs a few friends. Michelle agrees now she knows the full story.
Back in the living room Lyn and Joe are discussing badges as Susan asks if the papers are filed, Joe says he is officially on the hustle, Lyn asks Susan about any other issues, Susan says she could come up with some if he wanted, before leaving.
Lyn says if he can convince the Kennedys then he will have the whole community eating out of his hand. Joe is more cautious as he just wants to change building regulations.
No24
Harold helps Tad make up the sofa as a bed, Harold fusses about Cherry being comfortable sleeping on the couch.
Cherry arrives back and apologizes for not making Harold a cup of tea but he is going to bed.
Later Harold is awake and sees the couch is empty.
Next day, Cherry thanks Tad for a fun night then she says goodbye.
Harold asks if Cherry is not staying for breakfast, but Tad says she is not, and he wants to cook Harold an omelet as a way of saying thank you. He explains when Paul left a chunk of his life went as well, and he was worried about uni, and without Harold giving him the freedom and understanding he would not have been able to handle it, his life is great now and he owes it all to Harold. The fact is is always willing to put himself out to make other people happy which very few other people do.
Street
Elly asks Michelle is she is going to insult her again, but Michelle cannot be bothered and she just wants to what Zac has been saying. Elly says Zac has been calling Michelle frigid. Michelle says she is such a liar, and she is not going back to Europe as her mother dumped her there, as Susan said she is not going back for at least 6 months and her life is fake just like her fake friendship.
School
Susan asks Elly if something is wrong, Elly tells Susan she is a liar for telling Michelle she is staying.
