Lou is impersonating the Mayor on the phone, and claims he knows what they are going to print and he knows it is a pack of lies.
Dee tells Joel that she would have to give up so much and was wondering if he loves her enough to stay.

Dee tells Joel that she thinks that it is a reasonable question. He thinks it is emotional blackmail. She says if you love someone you want to be with them, and not to be angry with her as she wants him to stay.
Joel agrees to stay, as he wants to be with her, so he phones Bernard Wells.
Joel is still on the phone explaining that it is not about logic, its about passion. He hopes he is not black listed from any further Bernard Wells projects. They hug.

Maggie says this house smells of mice, Evan says does it he has 60 mice, Maggie asks if he can do anything about the smell.
Maggie tells Emily that the mice are not pets, Evan tells her to make sure that the cages are shut tight so no more escape.
Maggie lets Toadie in says and he has the guidelines for the uni appeal process, she says have you now, Toadie sniffs the air, she says it is mice. He says if she wants him to come to any meetings with the Dean to let him know, Evan asks if she is going back to uni and would like to be kept up to date. She says to blame Toadie as he "could sell software to Bill Gates". Evan says good old Toadie, and does she want him to come with her to see the Dean, but Maggie says he should sort out the 60 mice. She offers Toadie some dinner.
The Pub office
Lou is using a computer with Toadie stood beside him. Toadie says with this sort of venture there is a certain amount of risk which you might find unacceptable, Lou moans about junk email. Toadie says the producers are offering a 7% spotters fee at the moment, which he keeps, but Lou's investment is tax deductible. Lou says is this an investment scheme for the film The Doctor is waiting, he has already heard about it but he was only offered 3.5%, but the film maker thought he would increase his cut by finding investors, he was Darcy. Toadie only wants to do it to show Tim Collins he is a mover and shaker, he is not looking forward to his meet and greet, Lou will come to help his sales pitch, as Toadie helped with his court case, and it will teach Darcy not to scam a scammer.
Coffee Shop
Harold is showing Darcy a newspaper, but he has not had time as his mail has been misdirected, he knows that it is a personal vendetta for Harold, but does he not think enough is enough.
Joe walks in and says hello to Harold who asks if it is a lovely day, Joe complains he has heard the phrase the check is in the mail 3 times today. Harold believes that the situation will be sorted soon. Joe says that he will put his coffee and chocolate dough nut on the tick. Harold agrees.
Joel walks in and orders three dough nuts, Darcy says that Joel should buy his old wheels, Joel says that Darcy should pull his head in and he should stay away from him as he abuses people and moves on, Harold doesn't want any trouble.

Dee is reading as Toadie walks in dressed smartly in a suite, Dee says ooh la la and will the be actual film producers there, and puts a pair of sunglasses on him. She says he looks very Hollywood, very Jack Nicholson. Toadie says it is indoors and he will bump into things.
Toadie admits he doesn't want to go, Dee thinks it might be fun.
Joel walks in, Dee complains how long he took, she thinks he was making them, Dee is excited as they have sprinkles on them, the coffee is ready, Toadie wants to know what is going on the other 2 say morning tea, Toadie would rather stick pins in eyes then go.
The street
Joe says that he has sympathy for Harold but as he is not getting his mail it is more than an inconvenience, Maggie says Evan is sick of collecting letters, as they cannot ignore bills, Lou says that Ramsay street is more than a name to Harold it is a direct link to Madge. Joe agrees. Toadie joins them and thanks email, Joe says checks do not come by email, Lou explains someone has been talking to the press about motives, funny how a good scandal captures the publics imagination. Maggie suggests a two pronged attack. Joe says something about history and there is more than 1 way to skin a cat so he will go and make some phone calls. Maggie wonders what he is up to, Lou says the street is not short of ingenuity. Toadie and Lou goto see the investors.
Hospital corridor
Darcy says hi to Dee and asks if she has been to see Lib, she is on her way to see the bub, Darcy gets paged, and asks Dee what Joel's problem is as he went off at him, they neither have an idea.

Evan asks how something so little can run so fast, he is crawling under the table, when Maggie walks in asking what is going on, which causes him to bang his head.
Emily walks in calling Pinky, Maggie wants to know what is going on, he moved some mice but a couple have escaped but this figure increases slowly to 10, he offers to goto the meeting, she sees a mouse and says it will be dissected, Emily wants to know what dissected means, Emily wants to know if anyone is going to hurt Pinky the mouse.
Banqueting hall
Lou has not heard of anyone on the list, Lou suggests to use his unique antenna which Toadies is broken so then to work the room clockwise, they cannot see Darcy, Jodie greets Toadie and is happy he works with Tim Collins, Lou says hello to Jodie who says that Darcy has been delayed, without Darcy there Lou thinks Toadie will make a killing.
Jodie makes a presentation.

Evan is explaining to Emily, science needs people to understand certain things, Emily says what things, he explains numbers, chemicals and how things that are alive work, he says when people get sick they need to give them the right medicines, and Doctors need to goto university and high school, and they have to understand certain things, Emily wants to know if he will kill all the mice, he says not in a bad way, Emily runs off shouting NO. Evan tells Bob I tried.

Dee is washing up and telling Joel that the babies face was all scrunched up, but he was so beautiful, Joel thinks all new born babies look like monkeys, except him who was handsome.
Dee answers the door to Darcy, Joel asks what he is doing there, they both argue, until Dee stops them. Darcy comes with a check to repay Dee the money he owes her, $2,000 with 100% interest, she says they are square and thanks him. Darcy says that if he has done anything else to hurt her then to tell him, Dee asks him to leave, he says he is not a mind reader and leaves.
Dee wants it to go away, Joel says he does not know if it will, then hugs her.
Banqueting hall
Lou asks how Toadie is doing, he says there is a positive buzz but not much commitment. Jodie asks if they are enjoying them selves , they are, she will go through the financial projections in the second half, Lou was looking for the script but they have it as it is an experimental film, so there is a lot of improvisation. The film will take a maximum of 4 days to shoot.
Lou is nervous and asks when was the last time you went to see and experimental movie.

Joel is telling Dee, that it will be a fresh start for them both as she will be able to find a nursing job in Caines, he would be on the reef 3 days a week and in the lab the rest of the time, so they would be together. Dee doesn't know, Joel loves her and thinks it is a chance to leave it all behind and go on an adventure of a life time.
The Street
Harold tells Joe full marks for creativity, Joe says that it should do the trick. Maggie joins and asks what is going on, Evan says that Joe found a way to placate the council, she thinks the Dean will take her side she thinks she will pass.
Harold reads from the plaque that says "this plaque commemorated Placival Thomas Ramsbottom, first European settler to this area who on this spot in 1842 with his wife Murial built a house and raised 8 children"
Joe hammers in a mini Ramsay street sign. Harold says things are back to the ways things should be Madge.
Banqueting hall
Jodie is presenting, Lou says they make their money on video sales and he might get into the action himself, Lou and Toadie toast Hollywood.
