Recap
Karl telling Lou he's got the results of the DNA test back and they're highly accurate.
Surgery
Karl gives Lou the bad news that he isn't Lolly's real father. Lou is stunned by the news and suggests it is a mistake and then adds that he wants a new one. Karl reluctantly agrees to appease him as Lou quickly leaves the surgery.
Lou's Place
Lou gets the pub ready as Harold comes in and Lou tells him the news that he isn't Lolly's father. Harold consoles his friend as Lou begins to get emotional as he tells Harold that the results are wrong and that he is the father. Finally Lou breaks down.
The Coffee Shop
Lyn and Joe discuss the kids - Flick is doing some studying and Michelle has decided to plead guilty. They then talk about Steph and how she appears to show that she is coping on the outside but inside is a different thing. Speak of the devil; Steph enters the shop to get a free lunch off her parents. She gives them the news that she has her job back at Moco's and that she begins work in the morning. They seems a taken a back by this news and think it is too soon but Steph assures them that the busier she is the better she will be. While Steph goes to get a drink Joe confirms Lyn's suspicion that Steph isn't up to going back to work.
No. 30
Toadie comes off the phone and tells Joel about his conversation - he was talking to Tim Collins of Stuart, Whitehead and More where he will be doing his summer internship. Joel isn't exactly enthusiastic and is even less so when Toadie asks him for a big favour - to teach him golf in a week because Tim has invited him to play a round! Joel tells him that he's only played golf three times in his life and is therefore hardly an expert but Toadie replies that he doesn't want to win...only lose gracefully! Joel then has a go at Toadie for his new attitude and wonders where the 'defender of the poor' has gone to but Toadie couldn't care, he just wants to learn to play golf.
The Coffee Shop
Drew tells Joe about a job opportunity that has come his way - servicing Jack Hastings fleet of cars - but adds he had to turn it down because he is a partner in the garage and he'd rather be his own boss. Drew then asks Joe about the family and Joe tells him about Steph's accident/ Woody's death and Drew is immediately concerned.
No. 24
Lou is lamenting to Harold that he's lived a lie these past years and Harold tries to tell him that he hasn't. Lou doesn't believe this as they then talk about Cheryl being unfaithful to him. Harold says that even if Lolly isn't his biological father, he is *her father*. Lou isn't quite seeing it that way and just wishes that Cheryl had been truthful to him.
No. 30
Joel is trying to teach Toadie how to play golf...with the aid of marshmallows! Joel shows him the basics (lining up/holding the club) and when Toadie has a go he swings and misses badly! He blames the marshmallow for being too small but when he selects something bigger he still misses! Toadie now tries to blame the club he is using and begs Joel to help even though he'd rather be doing his thesis.
No. 24
Harold is chatting away to Lou but it is going in through one ear and straight out the other. Eventually he pays attention and realises it is time to pick Lolly up from school but tells Harold that he can't do it. Harold offers to collect her but Lou realises he has to do it but says that he isn't going to tell Lolly about him not being her biological dad - it has to remain a secret between the three that know the truth.
No. 26
Drew has come round and Steph is tearfully telling him about Woody proposing then the car taking off and crashing. He remarks that she seems quite calm as he'd be a mess and Steph replies that everyone deals with these things differently. Drew asks if it is okay to tell Libby and she agrees but doesn't want the news spread. She also tells him that when the insurance money comes through he'll be partially compensated for the car being written off. Drew slightly cheers her up when he tells her that her bike hasn't been sold.
Golf course
The intrepid duo have now ventured to a real golf course and they chat golf as they make their way to the tee. At the tee, Joel makes a perfect tee shot. Toadie on the other hand misses the ball and watches as the club flies out of his hand! (Note - if you watched Neighbours Revealed it shows you how this scene was filmed.)
Lou's Place
Drew pops into the office and tells Lou about the job offer from Jack Hastings. Lou isn't thrilled to hear this news and bluntly informs him that he can take the job and look after number one. Drew is bemused by Lou's sudden outburst.
No. 26
Michelle cooks herself lovely veggie meal as Lyn prepares the family meal. Lyn isn't impressed at Michelle handing over a veggie cook book. Joe reminds Michelle about the downside of veggie food (wind) and Steph fondly remembers a list of food that Woody called 'the great food mistake'. Joe laughs but Michelle and Lyn don't know how to react.
No. 28
Toadie calls by to ask Karl for his advice on how to present himself given the circles he is about to move in. Karl agrees to go shopping with him and adds that most corporate business is done on the golf course these days.
Moco
Steph fills her van with orders and initially ignores a ringing phone but when the caller shows no sign of hanging up, Steph slams her clipboard down to go and answer the phone only to find the caller has hung up when she picks the phone up.
Lou's Place
Lyn and Joe tuck into a nice meal of steak grateful that Michelle isn't around to see them eat it! Lyn tells Joe that their family meal tonight is going to be vegetarian and Joe isn't looking forward to it!
In the office, Lou gets out the letter he received and dials a number. He tells Mr Allan that following his letter, he's undergone DNA testing and that the results prove that he is Lolly's father and adds for him not to call again.
Moco
As Steph sits in the Moco van with the wipers going, she re-lives the accident/Woody proposing as the radio plays. The manager signals for another employee to come and check it out as the camera cuts to a close up of Steph staring out the windscreen oblivious to what is happening.
