Ramsay Street
Joe and Lyn bid Steph and Woody farewell wishing that Steph had left home under different circumstances. Lyn wonders about Kev Kelly but Joe says the police will get him and adds that he'll be too busy avoiding the police to worry about them. Lyn wonders what will happen if Kev Kelly is never found or if he comes to Ramsay Street looking for them but Joe calmly reassures her and points out the police car that is keeping watch.
Emily creeps up on them wanting to play with Harvey and Joe sends her inside to brush Harvey before telling Lyn that they can look forward to holidays in the Kimberly's once Steph and Woody get settled and adds that it is also a great place to raise kids too.
The Coffee Shop
Lou and Lolly pop in and notice Harold sitting in quiet contemplation and Lou tries to make a joke with him until Harold tells Lou that Tad is in the hospital. Lou sends Lolly to get some food for them while sits down and Harold fills him in on how Tad is in the hospital and that alcohol was involved. Lou tries to joke about the whisky to lighten the mood but Harold isn't in the mood for it and hopes Lou isn't as flippant when Lolly becomes a teenager, which Lou doesn't take kindly too. Drew comes in to see why Lou hasn't arrived at the garage yet but he flies off the handle telling him that Lolly comes first.
Garage
As Lou does the accounts, Lolly "plays" with the tools much to Drew's annoyance. Drew is mystified by some of the things that Lou is saying about being a parent/raising a child. Leo arrives looking for Paul and Lou replies that he is probably with Tad. Drew asks where Leo's mates are and he replies busy before leaving.
No. 26
The atmosphere is sombre at No. 26 as Emily brushes Harvey and Joe and Lyn wonder what punishment Flick will receive for her part in what happened at camp. Lyn hopes she doesn't get excluded for it and that Susan realises it was just a prank gone wrong. A knock at the door interrupts their chat - its Leo looking for Emily. The kids leave and Joe "suggests" to Lyn some of the things Emily could do when she gets older - organise an animal rights protest, drinking or running off with her boyfriend!
The Coffee Shop
Leo and Emily come in for some doughnuts. They place their order and Harold tells them to sit down and Leo gets hassle from some boys for having to babysit his sister. Harold is impressed by how calmly Leo handled himself that he gives them some drinks on the house.
Garage
Lolly is still "playing" with the garage equipment and as Drew works on an engine she starts up an engine. Drew shouts at her and Lou isn't impressed at him with him doing that, so Drew suggests he takes Lolly to play somewhere less dangerous than the garage. Lou sends Lolly to the car before telling Drew he doesn't like the agro when he is just doing him a favour!
The Coffee Shop
Leo and Emily are still sitting in TCS but he tells Harold he'd rather be out BMXing or hanging out with Paul and Tad than babysitting his sister. Drew comes in and asks Harold what the boys hanging around outside are doing, and as Harold says it is boys doing break dancing, Leo's ears perk up. Leo asks if Harold can look after Emily for five minutes while he goes outside to watch, and Harold agrees.
Lassiters Complex
The boys do their break dancing and Leo is most impressed.
The Coffee Shop
Harold and Drew keep Emily company by drawing with her. Drew asks Harold if Lou is back on the pills because of the mood swings he's been having lately but Harold dismisses this and suggests they offer support instead, quoting what he's read. Emily picks up on the word 'addict' and asks what it means. Drew tries to say it is an animal but Harold tells her, in words she understands, what an addict is.

Steph and Woody chat about their new life as they travel. Woody pulls into a garage to fill up with petrol and Steph wants to call her parents but realises her mobile isn't getting a signal, so gets some change from the car. She also asks if he wants a steak sandwich with the lot too but he tells her to hold the beetroot.
STEPH: No beetroot! Call yourself an Australian! What are you mate?
WOODY: I know what I want to be.
STEPH: What?
WOODY: Your husband.
Steph is in shock at hearing this but Woody assures her that despite the not so brilliant surroundings and occasion, he is genuine and has never been more certain in his whole life. After telling her he loves he more than life itself, Steph accepts his proposal and they kiss and hug each other before she goes into the payphone to call her parents. She dials the number and watches Woody pretend to hide behind the petrol pump as he fills the car up.
Lyn eventually answers the phone and Steph tells her she's okay and got away without any problems. She tries to tell Lyn about Woody proposing but Joe comes on the phone and tells her to get going until they well away from the area! They hang up after telling her they love her before she can tell them she is engaged.

Leo tries to copy the moves the break-dancers did.
Service station
Woody hears what he thinks is Steph coming into the car but it isn't her but a male who points a gun at him and tells him to drive! A scared Woody does what he is told and starts the car and drives off in a hurry just as Steph comes out of the shop with their food. She thinks it is a joke and starts running after the car shouting "Woody" but the car is moving way too fast for her to catch up with. It disappears from her sight and she thinks he is acting like a big kid until she hears brakes screech and the sound of a car crashing and a fireball evolving. She now isn't laughing and drops the food as she runs towards the car, stumbling and falling as she goes whist calling out "Woody". Steph screams before the music starts (First Love) and as the poignant song is heard; she runs towards the burning car where another motorist stops her from going to near the burning wreck and physically has to hold her back.
Pub office
With the music still playing in the background Lolly is drawing when Harold pops in wanting a word. Before Harold can ask what he came for, Lou announces that he isn't going to the reunion. Harold eventually tells him about the chat he had with Drew and wonders if Lou is back on the painkillers. Lou doesn't like this accusation one little bit, so Harold asks him to turn out his pockets and if there are no painkillers then he'll leave. Lou begrudgingly turns them out and tells Harold he can help by closing the door on the way out, so Harold leaves.
Bush
With the music still continuing, Steph is inconsolable as she watches the car burn and collapses to the ground with the passing motorist still holding her.
