Stephanie and Teresa share an awkward moment at Steph's 21st. Tad has a go at Paul over Simone. Kate tells Stephanie that Lance and Toadie are completely besotted with her.
Stephanie goes back to Number 30 with Lance and Toadfish and they talk about what a good time they've had. Steph has to leave but Lance and Toadie both try to persuade her to stay, they then try to get each other to go to bed so that only one of them can stay up with Steph! She still decides to go but before she does, she tells them what Kate said about them both having the hots for her. They agree it's a crazy idea and scoff at what a ludicrous idea that is! Steph leaves happily convinced that they're all just good mates.
Paul tells Harold about what happened between him and Simone. Paul is angry at Drew for telling him to talk to Tad about it (I must have missed that bit!) but Harold tells him he's proud of him for owning up.
Lance and Toadie discuss Steph and how they don't see her as anything more than a friend. They both mention that she's a very attractive friend! Toadie asks Lance if he's interested in her, Lance denies it. Toadfish then tries to tell him how he should chase after Kate because it was so obvious last night that she liked him.
Teresa's car won't start and Steph offers to help. Teresa says she'll be fine, the engine's just cold. Steph tells her to please herself, but she'll be a while because she's flatted it. Later on, Teresa's car breaks down again and Steph stops as she's driving past. Teresa finally lets her help and Steph lifts up the bonnet to fix it.
Simone tries to talk to Tad but he ignores her. She asks Paul what's up and realises that he must have told him about the two of them. At school, Simone approaches Tad but he tells her he's not interested. She tries to put across Paul's case and tells Tad not to blame him.
Lance gets a call from Ruth wanted him to go up to Darwin to landscape their garden. He tells Toadie who (shock! horror!) thinks it's a great idea and tries his best to persuade Lance to go. At the Coffee Shop later, Toadfish continues to encourage Lance to go. When Steph arrives, he tells her about it and tries to get her to be enthusiastic about. Toadie then brings up Kate again - Lance tells him that there is nothing going on between the two of them!
Paul talks to Tad and tells him again that there is nothing going on between him and Simone. Paul tells Tad there's something wrong with him - he turns on people as soon as they do something for him, like Barry and Coral and Madge and Harold. Tad quite rightly points out that kissing his girlfriend wasn't exactly doing something for him! Paul says he's trying to do the right thing now but he just won't give him a chance.
Lou goes to see Harold about a new business opportunity that's opened up - decorated toilet seats. He's bought a load of them and tries to sell him 2 for 1! Later, Harold brings Louise home from school and takes her to Lou at the garage - he's amazed at the stack of toilet seats! Lou reads Louise a postcard that he received from Merridy - he's sad that they won't be seeing her again for a while. If Lou's last girlfriend, Carol, was anything to go by - they won't be seeing or mentioning Merridy again ever!!!
Paul goes to the allotment to ride his BMX and Tad turns up. Paul thinks he's there to ride with him, but instead he lays into him again.
Toadfish goes around to Number 26 to see Stephanie. She's not there though and so he chats to Felicity. He tells her that he's just been photocopying a car manual because Steph offered to help him fix his gearbox. He goes on about Steph and how much they get on. She arrives home and tells him that she can't work on the gearbox now because she's so tired. Lance calls and invites Steph out for a drink. She turns him down too. Felicity tells Steph that she's extremely popular with Lance and Toadie - they're obviously completely ga-ga over her. Steph says she's the second person who has said that but she just laughed. Felicity tells her she's not laughing now.
Tad and Paul are sitting in front of the TV. Tad announces that he's going to Toadie's and leaves. Harold asks how long this is going to go on for. Paul says Tad's an idiot and he just won't listen. He goes off to get a video.
Harold sits down to watch the TV - a crime programme is on and the presenter is talking about a violent armed robbery that was committed in Tasmania four years ago. He says that the man who committed the crime is in his 50s with a medium-heavy build. A photofit flashes up on the screen and it looks almost exactly like Harold.
