NO 32
Brendan tells Tess that he meant it - he's changed. Tess says that things don't just change because of one workshop in anger management. Brendan says that he knows that but at least now he understands why he is like that - was like that. Tess says she swore she would never let him back into her life. He asks her to look him in the face and tell him that she doesn't love him and mean it. She half heartedly says she doesn't love him, but he wants her to mean it. He says he'll be in the pub tomorrow night if she decides they have things to talk about. She says she won't be there. He says if that's the case he won't bother her again.

NO 26
Joe is on the phone trying to talk to someone, while Nanna and Gump are showing Lyn and the girls some photos. Lance comes to the door to see if Steph is still coming to the ball. Nanna tries to find out who he is, and Steph constantly tries to remind them he's just a friend. Gump tries to talk to Joe, and discovers he's available for work, but Joe covers, saying he means just further down the track.

LOU'S PLACE
Daniel introduces Brendan to Toadie in the pub. Lance comes in Toadie points him out.

NO 32
A tearful Tess sits at the kitchen table and clutches the teddy bear.

LOU'S PLACE
Toadie and Lance discuss what Steph is wearing to the ball.

Brendan tells Daniel he loves Tess and he's changed, and he wants her to see it. He suggests that Daniel might be the new man in her life, but Daniel puts him straight. Brendan leaves and Toadie and Lance come over. Daniel tells them Brendan wants to get back with Tess, but he's staying well out of it.

NO 26
Nanna entertains with some dancing. Gump wants to show them some slides. Joe and Lyn make excuses, saying they lost the projector, but Michelle gives them away. Nanna follows Lyn into the kitchen, trying to find out how things are going with the family, and work. Lyn tells her everything is rosy, but it's clear she's just covering.

NO 28
Tess tells Susan that Brendan hasn't changed - he's just Brendan. Susan tells her that she has to do everything possible to show Brendan that she doesn't want him back, or this will just drag on. She questions whether Tess really does want nothing more to do with him. Tess doesn't answer.

RAMSAY STREET
Nanna and Gump are singing and making breakfast, while Susan (in her PJ's) and Lance watch on. Michelle comes out and she and Gump go to get the others up for breakfast.

NO 30
Toadie wants to go and scrounge breakfast from the Scullys when it transpires that there is nothing but cereal for breakfast.Lance isn't keen, but Toadie talks him into it.

NO 32
Daniel finishes a phone call and discusses with Tess that some friends have a room available and he's moving out. Tess says it's fine, but she'll miss his company. He leaves and Tess looks concerned.

RAMSAY STREET
Lance and Toadie get stuck into the fish with the Scullys. Lance asks Joe if he can sort him out with the money he owes him for landscaping. Joe says it'll be a couple of days. Steph tells him to pay up and they almost have an argument till Lyn changes the subject. Lyn and Nanna discuss the formal and Steph tells them again it's a casual thing. Susan comes along and is introduced.

NO 26
Lyn comes in to the kitchen followed by Steph who wants to know why Joe is off work .Lyn tries to cover, but Steph works out the developer has gone under. Nanna comes in and Lyn quickly changes the subject.

NO 32
Daniel has packed up his stuff and is ready to go. He tells her she's more than just someone he works with, she's a friend, and if she ever needs someone to talk to, he's right there on the phone. He kisses her on the cheek and tells her to take care. He jokes that he's being too dramatic and she laughs and he leaves.

LOU'S PLACE
Susan bumps into Brendan at the pub. He's living in hope that Tess will come to see him. Susan runs into her outside and wishes her good luck. She gets inside and tells Brendan she's not staying, but sits down to talk.

NO 26
Joe tells Lyn he's hoping to have some news about work in a day or two. Lance arrives in his tux, but Steph is still rushing around getting ready. Everyone says how good he looks. Joe starts to give him a hard time, but Lyn says he's only joking. They chat about Steph's birthday for a bit, before Lyn leaves and Lance and Joe sit down at the kitchen table together, Joe with a stern look on his face.

LOU'S PLACE
Brendan tells a story as an indicator of his change in behaviour. Tess smiles a bit, but eventually says she has to go. Brendan says she was starting to enjoy herself and says maybe next time they could make it dinner. Tess nervously says she doesn't know and leaves.

NO 26
Gump and Joe give Lance some advice about running a gardening business while Lyn makes dinner. The door goes and Michelle goes to answer it, we can hear her talking to someone before they come in.

MICHELLE: It's Toadfish
JOE: Well, fancy that, it's dinner time.

Lyn invites him to stay for dinner, but he says he only came round to give Lance his wallet that he'd left behind. Lance says they're just waiting for Steph, Toadie jokes that she's still doing up the zips on her leathers. Lyn tells Michelle to go and get Steph. When Steph comes in she looks absolutely stunning in sparkly dress. Lance and Toadie's eyes drop, and Toadie has to close Lance's jaw for him.
