Martin telling Susan he loves her and Karl coming in just as he's said it.
No. 28
Karl is very surprised to see Martin. Susan wonders why he's back early and he says the items he wanted to see were early in the conference so he flew back early. Martin makes a move to leave but Karl invites him out for lunch. Whilst Karl heads for a shower Martin asks if Susan is all right and she says she's nothing to feel guilty about.
No. 26
Lance is home from visiting his grandparents and tells Phil he came home earlier for his week's trial at No. 30. He picks up his belongings and heads off over the road.
No. 30
Amy is getting ready to leave and asks Joel and Toadie how her trial went but Lance arrives before they can say anything and Lance quickly hands over his games console.
No. 28
Susan tells Martin she wants to go back to the old friendship they had and he agrees saying he was going to suggest that too. He also adds that the attraction is still there between them but apologises for coming back and stirring up all these feelings. Karl comes out of the bathroom ready for lunch. Susan says she has a meeting so Karl and Martin head off together.
No. 30
Lance is trying to suggest reasons not to have Amy stay, especially when inviting females back. Toadie spots a 'blind date' advert in the paper and suggests having their own one which Lance and Joel readily agree to.
Counsellor's office
Susan is pouring her heart out about how she's now having doubts about choosing Karl all those years ago, especially after Martin told her he loved her.
Lou's Place
Karl is boring Martin about what happened at the conference before stopping and asking how his wife is. Martin says he's got problems at home and Karl says likewise and tells him about Sarah.
Counsellor's office
Susan is continuing to speak about her relationship with Karl and Martin in the old days. She admits she's starting to have feelings for Martin.
No. 30
Lance and Toadie are trying to get the 'blind date' advert sorted. Joel is adding his comments just as Amy calls round. She needs a favour - a roof over hear head due to her parents getting the house fumigated for termites. Lance is most annoyed and offers his bed at No. 26 instead. Toadie makes a diplomatic exit to put the kettle on as Amy makes herself at home...again!
Lou's Place
Karl and Martin have finished their meal and Martin tries to leave just as Susan comes in. The three of them chitchat for a bit and the baby programme is brought up. Karl wants to discuss it further so Martin sits back down. Susan and Martin look very uncomfortable.
No. 26
Gordon calls round to see Phil as he's concerned and wants to talk.
No. 30
Lance doesn't believe Amy's story. They start to bicker and Toadie stops them by saying neither will get to stay.
No. 26
Gordon is trying to suggest that being associated with Lou and his tax problems doesn't look good for him (Gordon that is). Phil says he's not responsible for Lou's problems but Gordon isn't having it and informs Phil that he no longer wishes Phil to be his accountant. Phil is stunned at the news.
Lou's Place
Whilst Karl is at the bar settling the bill, Martin tells Susan they need to talk but she says this isn't the time or place so Martin asks why. Amy comes in and asks Karl for advice on wine to seal her permanent move into No. 30. Susan tells Martin she feels like a teenager again, all confused. At the bar Amy mentions that Joel is back in training again which is news to him. Karl rejoins the table and invites Martin back to No. 28 but Martin says he has things to do and hastily departs.
No. 26
Phil is on the phone to Ruth talking about what is going on in Ramsay Street bar the latest news that Gordon delivered.
No. 28
Karl invites Susan out but she declines citing paperwork. Karl asks her if Martin opened up to her as (to Karl) he seemed to be a bit distant. Susan says just chitchat and Karl adds that he feels guilty for not helping him. Karl adds that Susan likes him, and feeling uncomfortable, agrees with him.
No. 30
Lance comes over with food for supper but Toadie isn't impressed with the raw materials. Amy pipes up that she'll also cook supper as a thank you for her extra stay. Amy and Lance start to bicker again but Joel's arrival stops them. He's come home injured but says he still won't pull out of the triathlon.
