Recap
Darren tells Libby that Toadie has Lou eating out of his hand
Karl tells Madge she has a cerebral aneurysm
Madge tells Harry and Paul that she has an operation the next day
Madge falls down the stairs at the entrance to the house
Outside Number 24
Paul is approaching the house and Harry yells at him to call an ambulance. Harold leans over Madge pleading with God for her to be okay.
Number 22
Lou tells Libby that Darren's not in. Toadie is scruffing up his new trainers with a cheese grater, ready for orientation week at university. Libby tells Lou that there's a crèche at the uni that won a pre-school award recently, and they're looking for new kids to attend. Libby suggests that Toadie take Lolly there today to see if she likes it, but Toadie wants to turn up looking cool, not married!
Toadie reluctantly agrees, after Lou reminds him that he took him in to his house for free. Lou and Libby hear an ambulance and go outside to see what happened.
Ramsay Street
Harry is standing by Madge and the paramedics as they wheel her into the ambulance; Lou offers to take Paul to the hospital in his car as he and Libby watch on.
Erinsborough High
Caitlin reminds Anne of the School Swimming Carnival, and Anne says she's not interested as she's no good at racing. A 'friend,' Jacinta makes fun of Anne's swimming from last year's carnival, and Caitlin's furious - but then has a brilliant idea!
University Toddler Group
Toadie arrives with Lolly and is greeted by an energetic little boy, Brian, and his mother. The Toddler Group leader calls for all new enrolments, and Toadie stands with the boy and his mother. The leader mistakes Toadie for Lolly's dad, and he doesn't correct her. The mother, Shannon, asks Toadie if he's staying and - clearly attracted to her - he agrees. He soon learns that Brian's dad isn't in the picture.
Erinsborough Hospital
Harold is waiting for news on Madge who's in theatre. Lou and Paul arrive, and Paul is freaking out that Madge won't wake up. Harold and Lou try to reassure him.
University Toddler Group
Toadie is leading the group in a song of Heads, Shoulders, Knees And Toes. Dead cute. He rejoins Lolly, Brian and Shannon, and he tells Shannon that Lolly's mother died a year ago. The Group Leader suggests that Toadie and Shannon leave the kids for a while to let them get used to being alone, and Toadie offers to buy her a coffee.
The Coffee Shop
Caitlin and Anne are whispering together at a table, and Billy wants to know what they're planning. Billy wonders if they've found a way to get Anne out of swimming, but they refuse to tell him what's going on. So he threatens to dump Anne instead!
Toadie and Shannon arrive, and Billy can't believe that he apparently has a date, so he decides to stay and watch. Toadie pours salt on Bill's chips to make him leave. Shannon and Toadie sit down to enjoy coffee, and Shannon explains that she's just started uni, and that when Brian's dad left her, she decided to do something to better herself, hence the further education.
Number 32
Caitlin and Anne are planning their swimming scheme; Anne's not convinced it will work, and Caitlin is trying to persuade her. After all - Jacinta will be amazed if they can pull this one off. Anne tries Caitlin's swimming hat on.
University Toddler Group
Shannon mentions that she's looking for part time work, and Toadie mentions Lou's Place, which is always looking for staff. She's not keen - she got the sack from bar work before because she's not great with people. Toadie tries to flatter her, but she admits that she's really opened up to Toadie, even though she's really shy. Toadie tells her that he's shy, too, and his bombastic-ness is just an act. He confides that he's not great with girls - so Shannon raises the issue of Louise's mum, his wife. Toadie admits that Lolly's not his, and she thinks that the whole muddle is very funny!
Erinsborough Hospital
Harry and Paul are still waiting for news about Madge, asleep in the corridor. Madge is wheeled out of theatre, and the surgeon tells Harold he thinks she'll be fine. Paul is also thrilled. The surgeon says that there seems to be no damage, and that they also removed the aneurysm, which seems to have been successful. Harry asks to see her, just for a while. He sits beside her, and tells his wife that she'll be fine.
Madge tries to talk (because all people wake up so quickly from a general anaesthetic), and Harry tells her he loves her, and that he can't wait to get her back home.
Number 28
Toadie gets home to find Billy there, and Bill is still asking about Shannon. Toadie denies having the hots for her, and says that she's a single mum who needs a mate - which he's prepared to be. Billy doesn't believe him.
The Swimming Baths
Jacinta is making fun of Anne who is getting ready for the 200m freestyle. Caitlin defends Anne, but Jacinta continues her rude mocking. Jacinta walks off, and the plan unfolds - Caitlin is dressed in Anne's costume, goggles and hat, and is going to do the swim for her! She keeps a towel over her head so no-one will notice her.
At the poolside, Billy and Libby are watching - Libby is preparing to take photos of the swim competition. 'Anne' turns up late, and Billy thinks she looks odd! The girls take their positions and the race begins. 'Anne' storms ahead.
Number 22
Lou is about to take Lolly for a picnic, and Toadie intervenes - he'd like to take her to the crèche today, please! Lou refuses. He's taking his daughter for a picnic, and so Lou gets suspicious, and wants to know what's going on! Toadie admits the truth - he made a friend yesterday at crèche, a girl, and he'd like to see her again.
LOU: But you can't get back in there again unless you use my daughter as some sort of pick-up prop.
TOADIE: Steady on!
Toadie tells Lou about Shannon - she needs help, and she's a single mum who needs a mate. Lou refuses to let Toadie take Lolly to crèche!
The Swimming Baths
Billy and Libby can't believe that 'Anne' is doing so well - she hates competing. Libby takes pictures of her winning moment. When she gets out the water, Billy runs to her and plants a big kiss on her lips - before realising she's Caitlin! Libby, none the wiser, leaps with joy in the background at 'Anne's' win!
