Recap
- Lance telling Amy he's not interested in going ballroom dancing with her
- Paul catching Hannah out as the Ramsay Street sign thief
- Harold asking Karl about working part time with Sarah as a job share
- Sarah telling Karl to be honest with her, for once
Number 24
Hannah tells Paul that if he tells on her, she'll make school hell for him. He tells her that he doesn't care - she's been so busted! Hannah doesn't understand him, she's gone out of her way to be nice to him, and he's done nothing but been rude to her. Madge comes out the bedroom, having been fast asleep. They apologise for waking her up, and Hannah leaves. Madge asks if she can go back to bed now, and Paul agrees - she looks ill, still. Madge just wants him to keep the noise down.
Karl's Surgery
Sarah brings in a file for Karl, and tells him she's made an appointment for another patient. But Sarah still wants to talk about the job - Karl reminds her that the surgery runs better with two receptionists, and he admits that he finds it difficult being around her at the moment, but he doesn't want her gone. He thinks that having another person around here will help diffuse the situation. Sarah's just glad he's being honest with her, and wants to talk about it.
The phone rings and it's Susan - she wants a natter and to tell Karl all about her first day. She's loving it, and she's loved having Billy here, too. Susan tells Karl she misses him, and he misses her, too.
Number 32
Amy and Lance return home, and Lance wants to call Susan at the weekend to talk about the proposed merger of Erinsborough and Eden Hills! Lance asks Amy if she wants to see a film tonight, and she would, but she has to meet this guy at The Coffee Shop, one from the dance club. She thinks he's quite cute, and Lance is surprised, but thinks that she's trying to con him again. So he suggests coming down to The Coffee Shop to meet him. Amy doesn't want him to, but Lance has made up his mind.
Lassiters Lake
Sarah sits forlornly at the rotunda, and Karl spots her standing alone. He offers her a lift home, but she wants some time to herself to think about things. She tells him she doesn't know what's going on, but she feels miserable. Karl apologises for hurting her by pretending nothing happened between them, but he doesn't know how else to deal with the situation.
Karl tells her that he's happily married, and wants things to stay that way; he doesn't want to talk about their feelings. Sarah wonders what this means for her - being rude to her everyday? Karl apologises again for that, and admits this has never happened to him before. Sarah thinks they can be grown up and work around it, and Karl hopes they can, too.
The Coffee Shop
Lance comes in to see Amy sitting alone at the counter. Lance tells her he knew that her fake dancing partner wasn't real, and now she's been caught out! But Amy denies it - her partner will be here, very soon! At that point, a cute guy from the dancing club drops by to say hi, and says hello to Lance, too. Lance is horrified at his competition!
Number 24
Harry offers Paul a juice, and asks if he spoke to Hannah. Paul says he did, and that he and Hannah sorted things out; Harry is please and thinks they should invite Hannah over for dinner! Madge comes out her bedroom, still feeling a bit groggy, and Harry tells her that Paul is making dinner for them, and Hannah night be joining them. Madge is surprised, given their argument, earlier...!
The Coffee Shop
Amy is telling Perry that she can't wait to learn some of the dances with him, and wants to be part of the big competitions. He is also raving about them, and says how much fun they are. Lance is surprised, and wonders if Perry's friends make fun of him, and Perry says they do - but it's so much fun, and it's only because everyone else is jealous.
Amy's pretty flirty with Perry, and Lance ain't likin' it...!
Number 24
Harold has brought Hannah round for dinner with Paul, but has to get down to the local constabulary to tell them about the missing signs. Paul says he thinks the thief will be caught pretty soon. Madge goes off to bed, and Hannah tells Paul she's only here because Harold made her. She's also grateful that Paul hasn't told Harry that she's the one taking the signs. Paul suggests she stop now, and replace the sign before the council do. He offers to help her out, and Hannah agrees - they'll do it tomorrow.
Number 28
Sarah turns up and asks Karl to help her look for Bob - he's gone missing. She tells him she hasn't looked anywhere yet, and Karl doesn't look too pleased to be asked, but relents.
Ramsay Street
Karl has asked at Number 26, but he's nowhere to be found. Sarah is upset and wonders if Bob has returned to Elliot's house - the boy who used to own him. Karl offers to give her a lift there in the car and Sarah agrees.
As they get into the car, they can hear him barking, and it turns out he's under the tarpaulin in the back of Karl's van - Karl admits he was unloading plants earlier and he must have got stranded! Karl tells Sarah he's alone for dinner and she says she is, too, so he asks her in for some pasta...
Number 32
Amy is raving to Lance about the dancing - it will take up most of her weekends, and perhaps some overnighters, too. She's so so excited about getting involved in competitions! Lance suggests he could come with her - as her partner, maybe? Amy is thrilled! But Lance says he won't commit to anything until he's considered all the elements, and what his friends think about it still matters to him. But Amy doesn't care - she's just so pleased that he's agreed!
Number 28
Sarah thinks that Karl's cooking was great, and Karl tells her that he grew the veggies himself. Sarah continues the compliments, as Karl goes to get some wine to go with the cheese. He opens the fridge door - and finds a box of chocolates with a note from Susan: "Save some for me, darling. Love Susan." Immediately feeling guilty - and rightly so - he turns to Sarah and says there's no cheese, and he should go to bed soon, anyway.
Sarah asks why he's gone all strange, and he says he's had a draining day and needs to get some sleep. He reiterates that they can still be friends - but no more. She understands.
Number 32
Amy is teaching Lance to dance, and he's really not getting the hang of it - timing, feet, or anything else! He's struggling and she starts criticising him a little enthusiastically. Upset at being laughed at, he sits down and refuses to dance anymore, feeling like an idiot. She apologises and tells him he can only get better, so she'll teach him so he won't look silly at dance class! They try again, and he's just as bad as before...
Ramsay Street
Hannah and Paul see Harry leaving for his morning power walk, and Paul tells her that he's right on time - they have twenty five minutes to put the sign back. Hannah's worried that it's risky, but Paul convinces her. They put the ladder up...
Karl's Surgery
Karl finds Sarah at work and apologises for being offhand last night and for being tired. Sarah understands, and tells him she thinks he did the right thing - too much more of that wine, and who knows what would have happened?? So, when she says she understands she can't have any more than friendship, she still doesn't have any problem making suggestive remarks??
Ramsay Street
Paul is up the ladder replacing the sign, and Hannah is telling him he's taking ages. She spots Harold coming, and legs it behind a car, yelling at Paul to get down. But Paul doesn't leave in time, and Harold sees him standing there, with a screwdriver in his hand...
