Cheryl is depressed about losing the arcade.
Danni and Mal come home for a romantic 3 month anniversary dinner and find Stonie and 6 mates watching sport in the living room.
Helen invites Joel, Cheryl and Lou to a dinner party, but Rosemary says that Joel can't come.
Brook tells Jen that he wants her back.
Danni is upset and is sick of Stonie messing up their house. Mal comforts her and says they can still celebrate their anniversary - they'll order a pizza and then tomorrow he'll get some window locks to keep Stonie out!
Hannah and Miranda are experimenting wtih makeup and look rather like clowns(!) They're excited about Dayle coming to visit. Hannah moans that she won't be able to wear makeup when Dayle comes because she's supposed to be terminally ill(!) Miranda suggests she could buy a cool nightdress to impress Dayle.
Jen has come to talk to Brook. Brook tells her than Ren has gone down the police station to report Mark has gone missing (eh?!)
There's a bit of a pause.
JEN: I guess I came to talk. About us. And Philip. And all the other crazy things that have been going on since you came back.
JEN: And um...I've been forced to do some serious thinking. About who I am, and who I was. And how my needs and wants aren't the same anymore.
BROOK: So...you've changed. And does the changed Jen have any room in her life for me?
Jen shakes her head.
JEN: Sorry, Brook.
BROOK: Ahhh...what's to be sorry about. I was pretty stupid to come back and think that you'd still care about me, eh?
JEN: But I do. The old me does anyway. That's why I was so happy to see you again. Made me remember who I used to be and how much fun we used to have.
BROOK: But what's in the past should stay there?
JEN: This time, yeah.
Phil is having a drink at the bar with Lou when Brook comes in for a word with Phil. Phil doesn't want to talk to him but then Brook tells him he's leaving Erinsborough and that Jen has made her choice.
BROOK: No hard feelings?
They shake hands.
BROOK: Treat her well, eh?
PHIL: Count on it.
Brook walks out. Phil looks chuffed!
LOU: I'll be damned!
Rosemary and Joel are discussing business. Rosemary tries to cuddle up to him, but Joel pushes her off saying he's going back home. Rosemary apologises for not spending much time with him. Joel tells her he's sick of being treated as an accessory, so he's going to stick to business from now on.
Cheryl is feeding Lolly while Lou tries to persuade Cheryl to come to the pub with him today. Cheryl doesn't want to, she'd rather spend the day with Lolly.
Phil is vacuuming when Jen comes around.
JEN: I've got something to say.
JEN: I've been rotten to you lately. I got all confused about things. Brook. But I'm not anymore. I'm really sorry about the way I've been acting lately. You make me happier than any man I've ever known. And I just want to be with you, like we used to be. OK?
PHIL: OK. OK!!!
He hugs her.
PHIL: You bet your life it's OK!
JEN: Happy birthday!
Lou is arranging some pictures on the wall when Cheryl comes in. Lou asks her to approve his new posters, but Cheryl doesn't want to. Lou tells her off and tells her pull herself together. After all, he's lost his car yard and he's not sitting around moaning like Cheryl is. He reckons she should stop feeling sorry for herself.
Phil and Jen see Hannah, Helen and Miranda in the Coffee Shop and tell them they're back together. They are all delighted.
Hannah and Phil's birthday party is in full swing. Hannah is delighted to have received a Dayle CD and puts it on, so the adults adjourn to the garden leaving the kids to dance.
Danni has bought some plants and Mal has put locks on the windows. There's a knock on the door and it's Lou. He tells Danni that Cheryl is under a fog and wonders if Danni will have a word with her. Lou offers to give Danni a hand planting her seedlings.
No.26 - inside
Miranda tells Hannah excitedly that Dayle has really come to her birthday. Hannah is initially excited but then panics, saying she's meant to be terminally ill(!)
No.26 - Garden
Joel goes over to Helen and Jen. He looks a bit down. They chat a bit and then wonder why the music has stopped inside the house.
No.26 - inside
Hannah is lying under a duvet looking as sick as she can. Dayle is sitting on the coffee table.
HANNAH:(weakly) Thank you so much for coming, Dayle. It means a great deal to me.
They talk about Hannah's illness and she says it's a miracle just that Dayle has come to see her.
HANNAH: Would you sing for me, please? Then I can die happy.
No.26 - Garden
Joel tells Rosemary that he thinks it's best if he goes back to New York tonight. Meanwhile, Jen and Phil open some champagne and drink a toast.
Mal and Danni chat about what a nice bloke Lou is. Danni is ashamed that she hated Lou at first - it was just odd having a new man in her mother's life. Now she can see that he really makes Cheryl happy.
MAL: Do you reckon we'll be like them? When we've been together a really long time?
DANNI: Well, we've been together three months. That's a long time.
MAL: No, I mean like a really long time. When we're wrinkly and old and stuff.
DANNI: What? Like your parents' age?
DANNI: Gee, I dunno. i don't think I could love anyone who was old.
Mal looks downcast but then realise Danni was joking. He chases her into the kitchen!
Cheryl is on the phone to a bloke telling her she's not interested in something. Lou comes in. He apologises for speaking harshly to Cheryl earlier and says he's the luckiest man alive to have her. Cheryl tells her that the film guy has rung and wants to do a piece on her and what happened to the lottery money - about people who can't cope with sudden wealth. Lou tells her just not to do the interview. Cheryl says if she doesn't they'll make it all up - everyone will know "what kind of loser" she's become.
Phil comes in and is surprised to see Dayle in his house but seems to take it in his stride(!) Dayle's manager offers Phil his sympathies over Hannah's illness. Phil looks confused for a moment and then the penny drops.
