Brook tells Luke that he wants Jen back.
Ren tells Mark that Luke doesn't want a full-on relationship with her.
Mark and Lucy kissing.
Ren is surprised to see Lucy going out of the front door and is very shocked to see that she spent the night with Mark.
Phil is ringing Jen, who isn't answering, while Hannah wants Helen to take her to the airport to meet Dayle today, but Helen says her hip is too bad to drive that far.
Helen tells Phil that Rosemary is coming home and hopes she'll be able to stay a bit longer this time.
Lucy comes in and tells Phil and Helen that she's been for a walk around the block.
HELEN: You certainly look very invigorated!
Outside the Coffee Shop
Jen, Luke and Brook are having breakfast. Brook invites Jen out to dinner tonight and LUke suggests that Jen invites Phil too. When Jen has gone inside, Brook asks Luke why he invited Phil. Luke points out that Phil is Jen's boyfriend and Brook should respect that.
Libby comes across to interview Hannah about Dayle and wonders what questions she'd asks him if she met him. Libby writes it all down and then tells Hannah that she's interviewing Dayle today - the entertainment reporter at the paper is sick and she's filling in. Hannah begs to come along, but Libby says it's not possible, she'll bring an autograph back instead.
Lou and Phil stagger in with the giant wooden Indian statue (Frank). Lou tells Phil that he does miss the car yard, but he's looking forward to the pub as a new challenge.
Jen comes in and invites Phil to dinner with her, Brook and Luke. He reluctantly agrees.
LOU: Problems in paradise?
PHIL: His name's Brook.
LOU: Brook? As in babbling?
Phil tells Lou that he thinks he's holding Jen back by being too old, but Lou says that Phil is just being negative. He tells him to come back at lunchtime and they'll develop some battle strategies together(!)
It seems that Mark has slept with Lucy. He's very agitated and says that it just shows that he's not cut out to be priest. Ren says he's not a priest yet, but Mark really wants to be - what if he messes up when he really is a priest? He feels he's failed God and himself.
A load of girls are waiting for Dayle to arrive, chanting his name. Libby pushes her way through to the front and shows her card to the security guard. Just then, Hannah arrives and tries to follow Libby up the stairs, but the security guard won't let her through.
Lou and Phil arrive home with a load of shopping. Helen picks through it and says that Dayle wears these sorts of clothes in his videos(!)
Libby is shown to a table in order to interview Dayle. The fans are still chanting outside.
Dayle is sitting in a swimming pool, kissing a blonde(!) He remains in the pool looking board while Libby starts her interview. Then he glares at her and slips under the water. He refuses to answer any of Libby's questions, and his aide answers them instead.
Lucy has brought Mark some flowers around. She is up-beat but Mark fends her off when she tries to kiss him.
LUCY: What is it? Don't you like me anymore?
MARK: More than I should. It's myself I'm not very fond of.
LUCY: Come on, Mark...
MARK: Lucy, please. Last night was a mistake, OK, it shouldnt' have happened, I'm sorry.
LUCY: But it did. And I enjoyed it, very much.
MARK: So did I, but that's the problem. It's turned my whole life upside-down.
LUCY: Well, don't blame me!
MARK: I don't. But why did I do it? Why did I let it happen?
LUCY: Because you wanted it to. Because I wanted it to.
MARK: I thought I wanted to be a priest.
LUCY: Oh, for heavens sake!
MARK: Lucy, please understand. I need to think this through for myself.
LUCY: (angrily) Oh, yeah, right! So much for the lvoing priest who cares about other people's feelings! You only care about yourself.
She grabs the flowers out of the jar and storms out.
LUCY: I agree with you Mark! I wish last night had never happened!
Brook is sitting at the bar talking to Lou. He asks Lou if his chef can do mussels provancale as a special request as he wants to "impress a young lady". Luke comes in while they're talking. Lou says he'll ask the chef and see what he can do, but doesn't look too impressed.
When Brook has gone to sit at a table, Lou tells Luke that he doesn't want Phil to be hurt. Luke says he can't get involved - Brook and Jen are adults and can sort out their own problems.
Ren comes in and sits at the table with Luke and Brook. She asks Luke if he wants to do something with her tonight but he isn't very keen. Ren says she could tag along at the dinner outing with Phil, Jen and Brook.
Libby is fed up with an uncommunicative Dayle. The aide is doing all of the talking as Dayle is being downright rude and ignoring her.
Brook asks Luke why he's so reluctant to be with Jen. He says he thinks Ren is being too serious, but Brook says that's not exactly a bad thing! They talk about Luke's past girlfriends and Brook reckons Luke is still traumatised from his sister Morgan's death and it's stopping him getting close to anyone else.
Helen and Lucy is going to the airport to pick up Rosemary and Hannah is moaning about not being able to meet Dayle. Lucy comments that Phil has been in the bathroom for hours.
There's a knock at the door and it's Libby who has come to give Hannah a copy of the interview tape with Dayle. She tells her how uncommunicative Dayle was. Hannah reckons that Dayle would never ignore someone, but Libby reckons that Dayle is a real prat.
When Libby has gone, Hannah puts the tape in the machine.
Brook asks Lou if he's had any luck with the mussels.
LOU: Sorry, Brock. No can do.
BROOK: The name's Brook!
At a table, Jen and Ren are reading the menu and waiting for Phil to arrive. Ren thinks it must be nice to have both Brook and Phil buzzing around her and Jen think that Luke really does like Ren.
Brook and Luke comes over and Lou delivers their drinks. Just then, Phil comes in and...oh my eyes!!! My eyes!!
Phil is dressed in a navy sweater, with yellow braces holding up his trousers and sunglasses. Oh dear. The rest of the gang seem to agree with this assessment and are stunned into silence.
PHIL: Hi dudes, what's happening? (Silence) What's the matter? Never seen a bloke make a fool of himself before?
Jen finally invites him to sit down and smiles at him awkwardly. Then the credits roll (hooray!)
