No. 22
Cheryl is telling Lou that she's come up with the perfect wedding gift for Mark and Annalise. She suddenly realises that Lou is more interested in the career pamphlets he's reading, but Lou sighs that he's going to need a university degree to get the job he wants. He suggests that he could take up golf or buy some new clothes instead! Cheryl comments that she thought he was going to sell the car yard so he could take up a new career. Lou, however, asks who said anything about *selling* it; he'll still own it - he just won't manage it. There's suddenly a knock at the front door and Cheryl opens it to Philip. She smiles at him that he can give Lou some advice on updating his wardrobe! Lou asks Philip if the two of them can shop 'til they drop tomorrow! Philip grins that it's a date!

Side of a road
Ren is leaning against a tree, sobbing. A car pulls up and a woman in Salvation Army uniform walks over to her and asks her if she's OK. Ren cries that she doesn't know where she is and she doesn't have any money to get a cab home - she left her purse at a friend's place. The woman guides her to her car and tells her that she'll see she gets home.

No. 24
Sitting at the kitchen table, Sam sighs at Stonie that he hopes he wasn't too hard on Squirrel. Stonie shrugs at him to forget it. Sam points out that Cody gave Stonie the order of the boot but *he's* still around. Stonie insists that Rick will come back from the United States a changed man and then Cody will want *him*!

Ramsay Street
Sam heads outside with Stonie, who walks off. He then watches as the Salvation Army officer's car pulls up outside No. 30 and Ren climbs out. Sam walks over as the lady asks Ren if she'll be all right. He asks what happened. The lady tells him that she found Ren wandering the streets; she thinks she's had a bit of a shock. Sam thanks the lady and helps Ren towards No. 30.

No. 30
Mark is suggesting to Annalise that they have 'Onward Christian Soldiers' at the wedding, but Annalise tells him that they can't, as it's not Catholic. Sam comes in, guiding Ren gently, and he tells Mark and Annalise that he found her outside with the Salvos. Mark asks what the matter is. Ren sobs that she went over to Chip's and it was fine to begin with, but she made some comment about his gym equipment and he went crazy. Sam snaps that he's going to beat the hell out of that idiot. He goes to storm out, but Mark stops him and says:

MARK: It sounds like he's got a psychological problem.
SAM (angrily): Well, *I've* got a psychological *answer*.

Mark points out that he could get himself arrested for assault. Annalise points out to Sam that he can't beat violence with violence. Ren snaps that she just wants to forget about it; she doesn't want anybody doing anything.

No. 22
Lou has dug out some old 'safari suits' and Cheryl gasps that they reek of the '70s - if he wears them out in the street, he'll be laughed at! She takes Lolly up to bed, leaving Philip to tell Lou that he has something for him: some of that personal mail he wanted redirected to the news agency. He asks Lou if he can tell him what's going on, but Lou says it's just a little problem he's got to solve, and once he does, Philip will be the first to know.

No. 30
Sitting with Ren at the kitchen table, Annalise asks her gently if she's feeling better. Ren nods that she's sorry she was such a mess. She then says she thinks they should take up karate! Annalise remarks that it's not a bad idea. Mark comes in and Annalise says she'd better go. Mark tells her that he'll walk her: there are a lot of weirdoes out there.

Ramsay Street
It's the next morning and Billy emerges from No. 28 and walks along the street to where Stonie is standing outside No. 26. He tells him that Fathead and Dumbo haven't been bothering him since Stonie's been around! Stonie comments that they probably got bored with the idea. They start walking along the pavement, but Stonie stops when he reaches No. 24, where Sam is standing with his bike. Billy goes on, leaving Stonie to ask Sam if Cody's around, as he wants to let her know he won't be bothering her anymore and he wanted Sam to tell her. Sam, however, says he's got a few things to do, and he climbs on his bike and rides off.

The Hungry Bite
Annalise serves Ren a coffee and tells her that they should do something about that karate. Karl comes in and asks Ren if she's seen Chip Kelly recently. Ren says she hasn't. Karl goes on that Chip came in yesterday, on a professional capacity, but he left abruptly. He adds that he seems a bit unpredictable. Ren sighs and asks if he'd say Chip was dangerous. Karl asks:

KARL: Would *you* say he is?
REN: Well, I didn't, but, um... but now I'm not so sure.

Chip's apartment
Chip is seeing to a nosebleed when there's a knock on the door. He opens it to Sam, who pushes his way in and growls that he ought to knock Chip's block off: Ren was scared out of her wits last night. He suddenly notices the nosebleed and asks Chip if someone else got to him first. Chip mutters that it suddenly came on. Sam asks him suspiciously if he's *on* something. Chip hesitates and then says:

CHIP: I'm taking a few steroids, that's all.

Sam snaps at him that he's an idiot. Chip insists that it's not a problem: the doc's happy and *he's* happy, and he snaps at Sam to get lost. He then throws Ren's purse at Sam and tells him to take it as well, in case she accuses him of stealing her money.

News agency
Philip asks Karl how the new surgery is going and Karl replies that there's a few cashflow problems, but everything's basically on track. Philip offers him a ticket in the Cup Day Ramsay Street sweepstake - a sweep with bigger prizes than the tickets Susan bought yesterday. Karl gives in! Billy and Stonie come in and Billy introduces Stonie to his father. Philip hands Karl his horse selection and then asks if Billy would be interested in a job as a paperboy. Billy asks when he starts! Lou comes in and asks Philip if he's ready to go. Philip nods that he'll be ready as soon as Vikram gets there.

The Hungry Bite
Mark is showing Annalise stationery for their wedding invitations. Cheryl comes in and beams that it's all systems go, is it?! She adds that she's got a really big surprise for them: an afternoon tea reception on her at Chez Chez, all expenses paid, as her wedding present to both of them. Mark and Annalise try to protest, but Chez Chez says she's organised everything from the menu down to the decorations. She then looks at the wedding stationery and starts making suggestions on how to improve them!

No. 26
Philip and Lou are trying on their new outfits and Lou suggests a night on the town at the greyhounds to show off their sartorial elegance! He suddenly realises it's time for the Cup, and he tells Philip to turn the telly on.

No. 24
Annalise is sitting with Mark on the couch, sighing that she doesn't really want her reception at the Waterhole: it's not very classy. Mark - reminding her that it's now Chez Chez - points out that they could use the money they save on a house. Annalise, however, says she'd rather spend it on a knock- out wedding dress. The front door opens suddenly and Rick comes in, calling:

RICK: I'm back...!

He asks where Cody is and Annalise smiles that she thinks she's at the coffee shop. He suddenly notices the wedding stuff and he offers Mark and Annalise his congratulations before heading out again.

The Hungry Bite
Billy has bought Stonie a milkshake to thank him for seeing him through another day. Rick comes in and Stonie's face drops. Rick asks him and Billy if they've seen Cody, but Stonie says quickly:

STONIE: Uh... no, I haven't seen her. I hardly ever, really. Not, not much, not recently, no, no, not hardly ever.

Rick stares at him and asks him what's wrong! Stonie insists that there's nothing at all! Rick then asks how the Year 12 party went, but Stonie quickly says he's got an appointment and he dashes out!

No. 26
Philip pops open a bottle of champagne and pours glasses for him and Lou, toasting Lou having won the news agency sweepstake!

No. 30
Sam hands Ren her handbag and she realises he's been to see Chip. She asks nervously if he hit him. Sam replies that he didn't, but he wanted to. He then tells Ren that the reason Chip has been acting like this is because he's on anabolic steroids. Ren sighs that she really liked him - she thinks she still *does* - but how can you have a relationship with a man who's tried to attack you? Sam says softly:

SAM: Look you can't. Ren, when I saw the way he treated you last night, I wanted to... I guess it just made me realise how much I care about you.
REN: I thought *Annalise* was your big love.
SAM: Ok, she's attractive and I like her a lot. I just don't relate to her; not in the way I relate to *you*.

Erinsborough High
Rick has turned up at the school, where he bumps into Rupert Sprod, who's looking at his snaps of the Year 12 party. He shows him pictures of Stonefish and Squirrel - and then hesitates at the one of Stonie and Cody kissing. Rick presses to see it. Rupert hands it over reluctantly, reminding Rick not to say he didn't warn him. Rick stares at the photo and a look of shock crosses his face...
