Recap
Rick tells Cassandra he has to show loyalty to Lassiters, she tells him not to wait too long or he'll miss this opportunity
Doug shows his family the map he's made with all the routes to the hospital
Elliot tells Mark that Annalise said things were over between them
Number 30
Mark is annoyed that Elliot knows more about his personal life than he does.
MARK: If Annalise wants to break up, it would be nice if she told me first.
Annalise arrives and Mark tells her that he would like to have been told about breaking up. Annalise denies saying that. Elliot leaves to get some fresh air.
MARK: And who else have you discussed our affairs with? I bet the whole street knows
ANNALISE: Come on Mark, it's common knowledge that we're going through a rough patch. The whole of Erinsborough knows.
MARK: A rough patch is one thing Annalise, but to tell Elliot we've split up before the event , that's something else.
ANNALISE: Oh come on Mark, you're overreacting
MARK: I never thought our relationship was subject to public gossip.
Dave arrives and takes Mark away for a walk to give them some space to cool down.
Number 28
Doug, Pam and Gaby enter, Doug complaining about speed bumps. Gaby asks what else she might need at the maternity centre, reading through the list of things she's already got. Doug gives her some mineral water as a present - something she can splash on her face during all the huffing and puffing. Gaby loves the present and kisses Doug on the head.
The Waterhole
Rick serves Mark & Dave a beer. Mark tells Dave he's giving up on the relationship with Annalise, and suggests going travelling around Australia with Dave. Dave says he'd be mad to go away without sorting things out with Annalise, but tells Mark he's welcome to join him later down the track.
Cassandra walks in and towards Rick, she orders a drink. Rick is a bit shocked to see her now that the business meeting at Parkside Pacific has been arranged.
CASSANDRA: I'm really glad you're going for this interview. But my interest in you isn't just professional.
Rick blushes and nervously gets Cassandra a drink
Clinic
Debbie lies on her bed looking at the ceiling, when Marcus, one of the counsellors enters. She reminds her that she needs to go to group therapy tomorrow. Debbie says she can't go, and wants him to say that she's sick. Marcus refuses, saying therapy is what she's here for. Debbie lies back on the bed and puts the pillow over her head.
Number 30
Elliot gets off the phone while Annalise waits nervously. Elliot tells her this guy hasn't read her new material, but he's interested. He tells her to have faith in herself, as its only a matter of time before she's published in England, and AA Hartman will be a very famous poet. Annalise says she wishes she could share the excitement with Mark. Elliot apologises for what he said to Mark.
ANNALISE: Maybe it was obvious to everyone else, but we were kind of hoping things would sort themselves out.
Elliot tells Annalise that he didn't get why she and Mark were together, they didn't seem to have much in common and didn't complement each other. He suggests to Annalise that time on her own might not be a bad thing - time alone is good for an artist. Annalise says she'll consider it.
Ramsay Street
It's the next morning, Dave's painting his van while Sam jogs up to him. Dave says he's setting off on his trip today, Sam tells Dave that he travelled around Australia a few years ago and lists all the odd jobs he did. Sam offers to help Dave finish painting the truck.
Number 30
Mark gets up and joins Annalise in the kitchen. She tells him he looks terrible. Mark wants to talk, but Annalise says she needs to go to work. She also tells him she needs time to think things over, and leaves.
Clinic
While the group are sitting in a circle, Marcus sits down and starts the meeting. Marcus says the group are here to help themselves, and each other, and that if there is a problem with another member they talk about it in the open. Troy says he has a problem with Debbie: that she hardly ever turns up, and when she does she never says anything.
DEBBIE: I had no idea it bothered you so much. I'll make more of an effort in the future
KIM: There you go. That's exactly the attitude Troy's talking about. It's all too much trouble for you, isn't it Deb. You just agree with people to shut them up.
DEBBIE: So?
KIM: So, it's selfish. Look we all sit around here bearing our souls. It's annoying! You never make a suggestion, never offer a comment, never try to help. You just sit there looking bored out of your brain. Well I'm sorry Deb, but this attitude of your sucks! Just wake up to yourself.
Marcus tells Kim to calm down.
DEBBIE: Maybe I just can't think of anything to say.
Troy says he agrees with Kim, and that Debbie shouldn't sit quietly like it's a big waste of her time. Debbie says she's not going to sit here and listen to this as everyone's against her.
Number 28
Dave gets presents for Pam and Gaby. They wish him luck on his trip around Australia, but Dave promises he'll be back: like a bad penny.
Clinic
Debbie is in her room when Marcus comes in. Marcus asks her if her performance this morning was a bit over the top, asking if she has a problem accepting criticism.
DEBBIE: I'm not into humiliation, mine or anyone else's.
MARCUS: Look Deb, it's not humiliation. What we're asking you to do here is to change the way you think, and you feel. And that can be a very frightening thing. But you can't run away from that fear, you've got to work your way through it.
Marcus gets up to leave.
MARCUS: Just remember, we've all got problems here, you're not Robinson Crusoe.
DEBBIE: Sure
Number 30
Sam goes through the map of all the places he's been to with Dave, and that Australia does pubs and beaches very well. Dave asks what Sam's plans are, if he's staying here. Sam says he has to look after his nan, she's got all these 'friends' that get her into strife. Dave offers Sam 'one for the road' at the Waterhole.
Number 28
Gaby is fed up with feeling bloated. Pam tells her about the '10th month' and that the baby might not come for another fortnight. Pam offers to take Gaby shopping tomorrow. Gaby apologises for being a winger, and thanks her and Doug for everything.
The Waterhole
Dave asks Annalise if she's alright. Annalise wishes Dave well on his trip, saying she wouldn't mind a change of scenery herself. Dave gets Lou an Elvis beer holder. Lou, Sam and Dave toast Dave's trip.
Cassandra enters, Rick offers taking her out for something to eat afterwards, and she agrees. When he asks what time he'd pick her up, she says she'll just come here as it's easier, Rick is looking forward to it.
Clinic
Kim and Troy arrive, saying they're off for a swim, and want Debbie to come
DEBBIE: Why, so you can drown me?
Debbie asks why they'd want to go with someone they hate, Kim and Troy both tell her they don't hate her. Troy says its her actions they don't like, not her personality. Troy tells her about what Kim was like when he started here, saying he would get into a rage all the time, and that people would tell him to take a long hard look at himself.
Debbie smiles and agrees to go swimming with them.
Ramsay Street
Dave shows Mark his van. Mark tells Dave he's going to miss him. Annalise walks past, so Mark goes to have a word with her.
Number 30
Mark tells Annalise they can't go on anymore, he still loves Annalise, but they both agree the arguments are too much. Mark says they should call it quits, Annalise agrees but starts crying. Mark gives her a quick kiss and leaves, while Annalise sobs. Dave arrives, and tells Annalise they've saved each other a lot of grief later on, they're able to get on with their lives. Dave tells her to take care and gives her a hug.
Ramsay Street
Dave reminds Mark that he's welcome to join him later on if he needs. They hug and Dave rides off on his motorbike.
Number 30
Pam brings Gaby a tea. Gaby starts feeling weird, Pam looks over, worried, when Gaby starts smiling. She says she's had a contraction.
