Gaby wonders if Helen is up to driving because she hit Phil's car the other day. Helen protests most strongly and Beth assures her that one accident doesn't make her senile!

Rick is looking forward to the auditions for Othello, saying he can't wait to get one up on Craig. Debbie tells Rick that he's misjudged Craig - he has problems of his own.

Beth has brought Helen some food around. They chat about Brad and Helen suggests that she just has a good chat to Brad about where they stand.
Lou comes round to ask Helen about "church matters".

Craig and Rick are arguing about their acting prowess and Craig reckons he has something going down that will "blown Rick away".
Rick asks Ally to meet him in Room 4A at lunchtime. A couple of boys pick on Sean for doing well in his assignment.

Lou is telling Helen about the Barrabians. Now nothing upsets Lauren anymore - she's "happy" all the time, like she's brainwashed.
LOU: I don't believe she's happy for real. Do you know what I mean?
Helen says maybe Lauren's new friends are a comfort zone to her after all she's been through and suggests that Lou might be a bit jealous of Lauren's friends taking up her time.
HELEN: She'll be fine. It's just a phase.
Willises
Beth has come to see Brad. There's a bit of an awkward atmosphere between them and Beth tells Brad that she keeps thinking about him. She still cares about him and wants to figure out where their relationship is at.

Hannah is moping around and Helen asks her what's wrong when she turns down a biscuit. Hannah says that Lauren has been telling her she's greedy and she'll go to hell. She wants her to join "The Barbarians".
HELEN: Oh darling, you must have misunderstood her.
HANNAH: No, I didn't. She was pretty scary too.

Lou is moaning about the newspaper delivery boy. Brad is going out with Beth and Lou is rather surprised!
Room 4A
Ally think Rick is going to ask her out, but he only wants to talk to her about the audition. She says she'll get info out of Craig for him.
The Pub
Brad approaches Wayne rather awkwardly and tells him that he's going to take Beth out. Wayne says it's no problem and Brad says he's determined not to lose Beth this time. Wayne warns Brad to take things easy in case Beth bolts like she did with him.
School
Debbie is cross with Craig for slacking off on the Science project. She gets really angry with his antics and tells him to grow up.

Helen has come to apologise to Lou - after her talk with Hannah, she thinks the Lou has got a point with the Barrabians. Lou doesn't know what to do. Helen says she'll have a talk to Reverend Richards to see if he has any suggestions.
School
Debbie is working on the Science project and moaning to Wayne that Craig isn't pulling his weight. Debbie wants Wayne to take Craig off the project - he hasn't done any of the work so shouldn't get any of the credit.
A park with waterfall
Brad and Beth are walking along and enjoying each other's company. Brad is trying to follow Wayne's advice and not come on too strong which is confusing Beth a bit.
BETH: Now's the time to be honest. Do you want to just stay friends or do you want us to try again?
BRAD: Hey, I've got a great idea! Let's get some bread and go and feed the ducks.
What a bizarre answer.

Rick is practising his Othello speech in the kitchen. Ally comes in and invites Rick to come out. But he doesn't want a date, he just wants info on Craig's plan for the audition. She offers to help him read through his lines and Rick reluctantly accepts her offer.

Helen is back from seeing Reverend Richards. He knows about the Barrabians and doesn't consider them a good sect - he considers them an "extreme cult"
HELEN: They like to call themselves 'The Children Of Barrabas'
LOU: Well they're not getting my child!
Apparently the cult was started by a failed priest who calls himself Barrabas. They'll have to handle it very carefully.
LOU: I've got to get her away from them before they start making her dance naked or sacrifice chickens or something!
Helen says she might have an idea to help.

Craig has come to work on the Science project. Debbie isn't pleased to see him and tells him off for wanting to be at the centre of attention at school all the time. She tells Craig to do the project on his own.

Brad and Beth are back from their walk. Beth asks Brad why he's being so distant. He says he thought they should take things easy.
BRAD: I'll call you then. See ya.

Helen reverses her car out of the drive. She doesn't see that Hannah is riding her bike and knocks her over.
