Annalise comes round to tell Mark that he's a pig and a creep.
Mark tries to defend himself but Annalise is really mad. She shouts at him for believing the rumours and tells him to never speak to her again. Then she storms out. Beth tells him off saying that Annalise's parents rejected her so her behaviour is understandable.
Julie and Hannah both have colds and Hannah is worried she might suffocate in her sleep(!) Phil also has a cold and wants to take the day off work, but Julie won't let him!
Beth is doing her sales bit and offers a lady a free demonstration. The lady says she's looking for a new vacuum cleaner anyway and invites Beth in.
Helen apologises to Annalise for listening to gossip. Annalise is sick of people believing the worst of her and seeing her as an office bimbo, when she does actually have intelligence.
Mark comes round and Annalise tells him to go away. He tries to apologise but Annalise isn't having any of it. But Mark eventually talks her round saying he'll always believe her in the future. Annalise tells him that she's trying hard to change and be a responsible citizen.
Beth is doing her demonstration and it seems to be going very well. The woman agrees to buy one and writes Beth a cheque. Just then the woman's husband comes home and snatches the cheque off Beth, calling her a rip-off merchant. He rants at Beth for taking advantage of people then throws her out of the flat.
Annalise is on the phone to a client and her boss is ranting at her for being slow. She tries to stand up to him but her boss says she just has to work everything out for herself(!)
Beth is preparing for another flat, but she hears shouting from inside the flat. There appears to be a domestic going on. A nasty-looking bloke opens the door and tells Beth to mind her own business. It turns out that the bloke was shouting at his mother. The mother is rubbing her arm, but says it's just her arthritis. Beth offers to help her but the son just slams the door in her face. Poor Beth isn't having a good day!
Phil is struggling through his day at the office under the influence of a heavy cold. Gaby tries to send him home saying she doesn't want to breathe in his germs. Eventually he agrees and stumbles off.
Annalise's boss is impressed by Annalise's work and says he wasn't expecting such a good result. He says that Annalise has passed his test and apologises for being tough on her. He promises to treat her better from now on and offers to take her out for a drink tonight. Annalise prefers to keep their relationship strictly business though.
Beth staggers in looking harrassed. She sits at a table with Gaby and bemoans the fact that she hasn't sold any vacuum cleaners this morning. She's worried about the old lady and wants to go back and see if she's OK. Gaby says it would be better to tell the police or Pam.
Julie is doing the laundry and moaning about Debbie's untidyness. Helen tells Julie to go a bit easier on Debbie - she's very unhappy at the moment. Holly comes in and leaves muddy pawprints on the kitchen floor. Julie is fed up of being ill and just then Phil staggers in. Julie gets upset and says she's sick of everyone putting on her.
Annalise and Mark are having lunch and she's pleased that her work is going well. Her boss comes in and sees her at the table with Mark. He reminds her that she has a lot of work to do, but Annalise points out that she still has thirty-seven minutes of her lunch-break left! He backs down.
Julie is apologising for snapping at Phil. Helen has called the doctor and his advise is to go to bed immediately. Phil says he'll get dinner and sends Julie off to bed. He tells Helen he didn't realise he'd been taken Julie so much for granted recently.
Beth is talking to nice old lady who is more interested in talking about Beth's love-life and matching her up with her grandson than buying a vacuum cleaner!
Gaby is tasting an icecream that Mark has invented and says that's it's terrific. He's named it the "Blonde Bombshell" after Annalise. Gaby makes comments about Annalise and Mark tells her off.
Phil is cooking dinner and Julie is telling him that she really wants to have another baby. Phil isn't keen and is trying to talk her out of it.
PHIL: To be honest, Julie, I'm still not sure that I want another child. I tried to come around to the idea for your sake.
Julie is upset that Phil got her hopes up for nothing. Phil says he's happy with what he's got and that they've earned the right to relax a little.
JULIE: Well, that's it, then. I'm going back to bed.
PHIL: Julie, don't leave me like this.
JULIE: Philip. I want to be on my own for a while.
Beth is showing a vacuum cleaner to a sleazy bloke and he is busy trying to eye her up, rather than the vacuum cleaner! He blocks the door and smiles lecherously at Beth.
SLEAZY BLOKE: How about a special demonstration just for me?
