No.28
Doug tells Pam off for buying steak. She says they can't get too distressed about money - they'll manage. Doug decides to go off for a few beers before dinner.
Coffee Shop
Rick is chatting to Lauren and says he loves working there - he's the master of his own destiny.
At a table, Annalise and Beth are looking at a suit top for Annalise's work. Lauren thanks Annalise for taking her home.
No.28
Pam asks Brad if he's home for dinner, as she's sick of cooking for four and people not turning up. Pam asks if Brad has anyone special to ask to dinner - perhaps Beth(!) Brad says he's not seeing Beth.
Cheryl pops in to see Pam and tells her that she's moving out - the renovations on her suite are finished. Pam comments on Cheryl's eyes and she tells her she has an eye irritation for days. Also Janine is coming home for a while on leave. Cheryl has a project in mind for them both. She insists that she's not pining over Lou, and might give him a farewell card.
No.22
A bloke is loading Cheryl's furniture on to a van. The bloke tells Lou he's from a charity.
No.24
Lou is suspicious about the charity bloke. He's confused why Cheryl would give away all her furniture - he wonders if Cheryl is trying to clear her whole life out to get rid of memories of Lou. Lauren tells him to just leave it, but Lou clearly isn't convinced.
Coffee Shop
Some kids come in and order food and drink. They tell him some gossip from school and Rick feels a bit out of the loop. They are very rude to him and treat him like a waiter.
No.28
Everything is going wrong for Pam this morning. She's clearly worried about the hospital not giving her job back.
Doug comes in and opens the newspaper to look for a job. Brad opens his roster and protests to Gaby that he's got loads of double shifts. She says that none of the casuals were available. Doug tells Brad to feel lucky he has a job.
Ramsay Street
Cheryl is looking at a boat that is parked outside No.22. Gaby runs over to see it and Cheryl says it's for her daughter Janine. Gaby tells Cheryl not to forget to sign her bond forms before she moves out. Cheryl gets them out of her bag, and as she does so, puts down a card she's written to Lou. She forgets to pick it up again.
Coffee Shop
A gang of schoolkids are being rude to Rick again. Rick asks them what they're up to in the school holidays, but they tell him to get lost - now he's not at school, he doesn't get to hang out with them.
Annalise's Office
Annalise apologises for running out on Jeffrey the other night explaining that she had to help a friend. He tells her not to worry about it, and instructs his older secretary to show Annalise around. She's rather frosty.
The Office
Gaby is on the phone to the bank, confused as to why the account is empty (Paul has withdrawn from it presumably)
Pam comes in and tells Gaby that Gail at the hospital has finally agreed to tear up her resignation form.
Annalise's Office
The other admin employees are being very frosty to Annalise and not helping her with anything.
Ramsay Street
Lou sees the boat outside No.22 and goes over to look. As he's looking, he sees the card that Cheryl accidentally left earlier. He opens it and reads aloud, "Here's to the good times. Love, Cheryl". He looks disappointed.
No.28
Lou pops round to see Doug and moan about Cheryl's boat. He has taken Cheryl's card to mean that the boat is a present for him(!) Doug says that maybe it's a parting gift, but Lou thinks she's still chasing him. He invites Doug to go for a beer, but Doug says he has to tidy the house. He finally decides to do it later.
Coffee Shop
Rick is seeing the downside of working full- time and Lauren tells him that he can't have it both ways. Rick says he's going to try(!)
Pub
Beth is telling Brad about her job interview - she thinks she's close. Doug and Lou come in and wish her luck.
Doug orders a beer, but Brad comment that he thinks he's had enough.
Annalise's work
Jeffrey invites Annalise for a drink after work and the older secretary rolls her eyes.
No.28
Pam comes in and is cross that Doug hasn't tidied up while she was at work. Beth tells Pam that Doug seems to be drinking more heavily than usual. Pam says she'll talk to him once he's calmed down a bit.
Cheryl's Bar
Lou storms in and starts ranting at Cheryl about the boat. In conversation though, Lou realises that the boat is for Janine. Cheryl promises she won't block the road for much longer and Lou slinks off.
Coffee Shop
Rick is giving away food and drink to his former schoolmates to curry favour with them.
Annalise's Office
Annalise tackles the older secretary about her attitude. The secretary says that in four years, none of Jeffrey's assistants have known how to open an envelope(!) so she can't see why Annalise would be any different. Annalise insists that she's a good worker, but the older secretary says that "personal assistant" is literal in Jeffrey's case.
OLDER SECRETARY: If you want to keep this job, you're going to have to be available for a lot more than typing and dictation - take my word for it.
