Joe has juggled his work today because he wants to spend the day with Sky. He hopes that'll get rid of the imaginary friend. Melanie asks Sky if she can eat DeeDee's breakfast for her.
Phil is asleep on the sofa when Caroline comes down, dressed in Christina's clothes. Paul is sitting at the breakfast table in despair. Caroline wonders if they could run out and alert the police, but Paul feels they can't risk anything happening to Christina.
Phil wakes up and makes himself some coffee. He tells Caroline to make breakfast. She starts begging him to tell them where Christina is but Paul makes her sit down again. Phil tells Caroline that she'd better get the job done in court today - after all, Christina's life is at stake. Paul goes off to dress.
Glen is ignoring Lucy, but she tells him it's not going to work. Glen tells her it's his way of dealing with things - nothing else works. Lucy tells him they can work things out - they can sit down and talk it through like adults. Glen tells Lucy to go out with someone her own age.
Joe and Sky are playing shop in the kitchen. Melanie is very impressed with Joe's efforts. Joe is finding it really hard - he doesn't know where to start in playing with a toddler. Melanie suggests that Joe builds Sky a cubby house - he and Sky could work on it together.
Paul and "Christina" tell Detective Stewart that Caroline is feeling a bit unwell this morning, so they'll pick her up later.
DETECTIVE STEWART: What they're about to hear in there will be enough evidence to convict Carter and throw away the key.
Phil tells "Christina" to just think of the effect her testimony will have.
Lucy and Glen are both home at lunch-time. Lucy tells him that she's going to make the effort to go out with guys her own age. In fact, she's already accepted a date with a guy called Morgan Bailey.
Outside the Court
PHIL: Good job, Caroline, you fooled them.
PAUL: Yeah, let's just get out of here, eh?
DETECTIVE STEWART:(running after them) What's the big idea? What do you mean, we pressured you into identifying Carter?!
CAROLINE: That's how it felt.
DETECTIVE STEWART: And now you say it was too dark to see that night.
CAROLINE: I can't be absolutely sure that it was him!
DETECTIVE STEWART: Thanks for nothing! I've spent a great deal of police time and money protecting you and your sister - and for what?
PAUL: Look, she just doesn't know any more that what she actually saw on that night. Now, would you just leave her alone!
DETECTIVE STEWART:(to Caroline) After all you've been through. I don't believe you could throw the case like that. If you had doubts, why didn't you tell me? (Showing her some papers) Have a look at this. Your original statement. Just read the parts I've underlined. You were pretty sure about everything then. Isn't that a fair assessment of what you really think?
CAROLINE: It depends...
DETECTIVE STEWART: Did you read it?
CAROLINE: Yes! Paul, I just want to go home.
DETECTIVE STEWART: Where are your glasses, Christina? You read the oath without them, too. I thought you couldn't see to read without your glasses.
PAUL: She's wearing contact lenses.
DETECTIVE STEWART: Really? That's interesting. The other day you told me you couldn't wear contact lenses. Christina, mind if I have a look behind your ear?
PHIL: What for?
DETECTIVE STEWART: If you're who you say you are, I'll find an attractive birthmark.
PAUL: Look, would you just mind your own business...
But Phil has made a break for it and Detective Stewart runs after him, pinning him on to a car bonnet.
DETECTIVE STEWART: No, you don't, mate.
CAROLINE: Oh, thank God.
PAUL: Yeah, but what about Chrissie?!
Garden of No.32
Joe has completed the cubby house which bears a sign saying "Sky's House". He gets Sky to cut a red ribbon to open the house. Aww!
Detective Stewart is making some calls while Paul paces around the house, indulging in a fit of bad acting. He rants about Christina and Detective Stewart says he's got an address - but he has no idea if Christina will be there or not.
Garden of No.32
Toby is home from school and he, Sky, Joe and Bouncer are having a tea-party, drinking tea from small cups. Sky tells him that DeeDee wants some tea and Joe is disappointed - he thought DeeDee had disappeared.
There's no sign of Christina at the house. But in the basement under the house, we see that Christina is bound and gagged - apparently the police didn't think to look there(!)
Caroline starts to cry but at that moment, Christina escapes her bonds and starts to undo her gag.
PAUL:(to Caroline) Come on.
CAROLINE: There's something, I...
CHRISTINA:(inside the shed) Paul!
PAUL: CHRISSIE? CHRISSIE, IS THAT YOU?
Paul heroically hits the padlock off the door with a brick and brings Christina out.
CAROLINE: You're OK. We've found you.
Paul hugs Christina tightly.
Melanie pops around and Lucy tells her that she's going out with the "dishiest guy in the school". Melanie leaves some brochures for Jim and Helen.
Lucy's date arrives and Glen glowers in the background, unimpressed.
MELANIE: Some girls have all the fun. I can sense a beautiful romance in the wind. Ain't love just too grand for words?
GLEN: Yeah. Ain't it.
Joe is telling Melanie and Toby about his day with Sky - they did all sorts of things like finger-painting, model-making etc as well as the cubby house. Joe is still worried about DeeDee though.
MELANIE: I had an imaginary friend when I was a kid, his name was Spud.
TOBY: Mine was Hoppy.
Joe is shocked and Toby explains that he left Hoppy in Queensland(!) Melanie takes Sky off to bed and Joe gives her a kiss, and then blows one to DeeDee too!
The drugs Phil gave Christina are starting to wear off and Paul is fussing over her on the couch. Detective Stewart drops by to see how she is and Paul thanks him for all his help. Phil is now behind bars - he was bluffing about having an accomplice, it turns out he's Carter's brother. Caroline is worried she might be charged with perjury, but Detective Stewart doesn't think it'll come to that. They'll both have a chance to give the correct testimony.
PAUL:(to Christina) Darling, I promise I will never leave you for that long again. I don't care how important the business is.
CHRISTINA: I won't hold you to that!
Joe thinks he's over-reacted a bit about DeeDee, he just can't remember having an imaginary friend when he was young. Melanie says that Sky will always remember the day he Dad made her a cubby house. Joe's really glad he did it.
Glen is playing the guitar when Lucy gets home - in a taxi. She's had a terrible time with Morgan - he got heavy with her and Glen threatens to flatten him. Glen admits that he waited up for her and also that he still can't get her off his mind.
GLEN: Where do we go from here?
