Gemma is still hiding behind the bar when Matt comes back. Harold moans that Madge isn't around and they chat for a bit. He asks Matt to call him Harold.
Harold decides to ring the council to see how Madge's meeting is going, but it's engaged. Matt tries to get rid of him by suggesting the council building is only five minutes up the road, but Harold says he'll wait for a bit and orders a lemonade.
Sky isn't settling to sleep tonight and keeps getting up. Melanie is sympathetic and says Sky is probably unsettled by the stuff with Eric. She nurses Sky and Joe admires her way with kids. She offers to look after the kids tomorrow - she's drop Sky at the creche and Toby can go into work with her. Paul will just have to lump it.
Harold is still hanging out at the pub waiting for Madge to arrive and Gemma is still under the bar. He finally departs and Gemma comes out. He tells her he's got a surprise for her and will tell her later.
The Office, the following morning
Melanie has arrived for work with Toby in tow. She shows Toby how the phone system works. Paul comes in and isn't impressed to see Toby there, but says he can stay as long as he doesn't distract them from their work.
Madge is off to work and Gemma is studying at the table. Gemma says she's having lunch with Matt today, but promises it will only be for an hour.
Ryan comes around to study with Gemma - he's had enough of Dorothy breathing down his neck. He wasn't been able to sleep properly and now he's got a rash. Gemma says it might be a nerve rash.
Eric turns up while Joe is loading his van. Joe isn't pleased to see him, but Eric explains that he's brought some photos of Kerry from when they were travelling. Joe apologises was snapping at him and invites Eric in for a coffee.

Adam is having a study break and has popped in for a swift half. Matt comes in to check his rota times and offers Adam a lift home.
A bloke called Bob comes in and orders a drink. He asks Madge if the "pretty young thing" will be working tonight, but Madge says she's the only pretty young thing in the pub! Paul has come in and looks a bit cross. He says she'd better sort Matt out straight away.
Toby is sitting in Paul's office and Melanie says he'd better get out of his chair. Toby messes around with the phone. When Paul comes back, he manages not to shout at Toby and instead gives him some money to go to the vending machine. Melanie smiles.
MELANIE: Crunchy on the outside, soft and gooey in the centre!
Madge is sitting at the counter, distracted. She asks Harold if everything was normal at the pub last night and asks him about Gemma's movements last night.
Gemma suggests that Ryan talks to Adam about his rash and she gets into Matt's car. They drive off for a picnic.
Adam tells Ryan that his rash is probably a nerve rash, and the only thing he can really do is to try to relax. They talk about exam stress and Adam says some of his friends take sedatives, but it's better to just try not to stress out. Ryan looks thoughtful.
Toby is drawing in the outer office. Melanie has to pop out, so there's noone there to answer the phone. Toby answers instead and puts the caller through - but so quickly that the caller (Mr Emery) hears Paul calling him "an old buzzard"(!). Paul is not impressed and when Melanie gets back he tells her to take the rest of the day off. But he softens and tells Toby that secretly he's been wanting to call Mr Emery an old buzzard for years!
Matt and Gemma get back from lunch and Madge tells Gemma she knows she was at the pub. Gemma protests that she was only there for half an hour. Madge tells Gemma firmly that she must stop acting up - the results of her exams determine the rest of her life. Madge says she'll give Matt another chance at his job, as long as they agree not to see each other until after Gemma's exams. Gemma agrees.
Joe tells Melanie it's great to see Toby smiling again and then tells her about Eric's visit today. He's not sure is Eric is being sneaky or not. Melanie tells him to trust his instincts. Joe thinks that Eric is probably a decent sort of bloke - in fact, he doesn't mind him at all, even though he doesn't really want to.
Ryan comes around and Gemma tells him that she and Matt won't be seeing each other until after the exams. Ryan says he's been to the doctor to get some sedatives. Gemma looks horrified.
