Todd is over to meet with Cody before school. As she appears, he asks Doug if she is able to come over for video's that night, but Doug refuses on the basis that they haven't seen their daughter in so long. Todd and Cody start talking in secret code talk, which Adam seems to understand but Pam is baffled by it; they head off to school.
Lassiter's Complex
Helen finds Caroline sitting outside. She mentions that Paul is taking the day off work, which Helen admits is a good idea. Helen asks Caroline to look out for Paul, as last time when Gail left him, he threw himself into his work and had a nervous breakdown. She agrees.

Doug comes through to the kitchen, talking the old pig latin. Pam is not impressed, mentioning that one foreign language in the house is enough for her. Doug jokes that the kids are probably not being secretive at all, just having a bit of fun with their new jargon.
Number 22
Paul is busy beating himself up about his judge of character on Isabella. Christine tries to persuade him that it wasn't that bad. Paul is surprised how he couldn't see it, but she saw it from the start. He thinks of all the money he gave her with shopping sprees and sending money abroad.
PAUL: Don't let me fall in love again, Chrissie, I just can't afford it.
Realising that he really did love her, she persuades him not to feel so bad. He admits that he probably went looking for love, when he didn't have anyone else around.
Lassiter's Complex
As Paul frets over the things Isabella said, Helen warns him not to take it too literally and not to work himself up over it. She points out that when it came down to it, they didn't have all that much in common. Paul decides he's never going to marry, and that he's angry at Isabella and wants revenge. Helen warns him not to lower himself to her level.
Lassiter's Office
As Caroline tells Christina she knows about her crush on Paul, he arrives declaring that he got bored at home and decided to come to work anyway.

Pam arrives home as Cody has taken over the table with homework. She asks if she can call Todd, but only on the basis they talk homework. Pam wonders about the conversation they are having when they start talking about the sex education class they had earlier. Over at the Robinsons Helen too is only hearing snippets and starts to wonder. The kids say their goodbyes and hang up, leaving the adults rather confused.
Over supper, Pam tries to work out the secret code, but with Adam revealing he knows it too, Cody teases her mum about the conversations she and Todd can have without her knowing. Later Adam tries explaining to his parents how the language works (by putting alibi in the middle of words). Pam soon picks up the hang of it and decides to de-code a letter she found lying around the lounge.
Robinsons
Cody is over explaining to Todd the lengths her mum is going to to try to understand their new code language. She explains how she's left notes lying about which are actually homework, but her mum might interpret as something else.
Lassiter's Office
Spotting the light on, Caroline and Christina return to find Paul still at work. He apologises to them about not listening to what they said about Isabella and tells them they are welcome to stay on at the house. He informs them that his days of relationships with women are over, and implies that the girls are like sisters to him. Christina doesn't seem so thrilled at this news.

As Pam finishes decoding Cody's note, she isn't impressed to learn it's all about sex. Doug takes a look and reads the last line: "Todd, today was special because we learnt something; we learnt that we couldn't live without sex." Doug and Pam look horrified.
