Recap
- Melanie shows Madge the photo that apparently proves that Harold is the Peeping Tom.
No.22
Christina is still pouting at Caroline's interference with Eddie. Caroline says that Christina is too shy for her own good and sometimes men need a push. She says that Christina is too uptight, worrying about everything and boring(!) Charming. She challenges Christina to prove she isn't boring. Christina says she'll be indistinguishable from Caroline on her date with Eddie tonight.
No.24
Madge is ironing crossly and Harold is denying his involvement in the photo - he insists he didn't take it.
Just then, Eddie comes in, still dressed as an Easter Bunny.
MADGE: My God.
HAROLD: You look ridiculous.
Eddie gives Madge an Easter Egg from his basket but doesn't give Harold one saying he looks too grumpy(!)
EDDIE: I heard you got nicked for taking photos of Melanie topless. Not nice, Harold. Not nice at all.
Harold is almost apopleptic with rage but Madge says she has no sympathy since she's seen the evidence. Eddie says that he wants to see the evidence too(!)
Harold says he's going to look at the photo again to see if he can find a clue to prove his innocence. He puts on dark glasses(!)
Robinsons
Beverly is off to the hospital with some Easter Eggs for the kids. Paul pops round and Jim asks him if he'd consider sponsoring Beverly's research project. Helen says it's an excellent idea but Paul says he can't see any reason for the expenditure.
No.28
Melanie is trying to stop Harold getting in to the house(!) He wants to see the photo and Melanie is not impressed. Harold insists that he is innocent, but Melanie says there's nothing to sort out. Harold says that someone must have borrowed his camera.
HAROLD: Please, Melanie, please. My reputation is in tatters, my wife is barely speaking to me!
She reluctantly agrees to show him the photo as long as he promises not to look at Melanie's body. Harold looks at the photo and says there's a bird in the photo - that's what he was taking a photo off. Unfortunately the camera has zoomed in on the biggest thing in the frame - Melanie. She is placated and says she'll help him to explain to Madge.
Driveway of the Robinsons
Jim is not happy with Paul for refusing to support the research grant. They taunt Harold on his way past and Harold is not impressed.
No.28
Christina has come to talk to Melanie about Eddie. Melanie thinks that Eddie might be a good match for her - after all, her relationship with Kelvin was great...for a while!
MELANIE: It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
CHRISTINA: That doesn't really apply when you don't get a look in.
MELANIE: ...There is someone else, isn't there?!
CHRISTINA: There's nothing really to say, Mel, the guy doesn't know I exist.
She won't say who it is though. Meanwhile, she's nervous about going out with Eddie. Melanie says she's got an idea to help.
Robinsons
Evan has popped round to see Beverly, but she's still at the hospital. Evan gives Jim a paper - there are some Danish doctors what want to meet up with them this weekend to discuss their research. Jim tells them that he and Beverly are going away up the coast this weekend so Beverly won't be able to make it. When Evan has gone, Jim phones a hotel and makes a booking(!)
No.24
Melanie has come round to assist Harold in clearing his name. Madge isn't impressed but Melanie shows her the photo with her body cut out of it(!) Madge still isn't impressed but Harold insists that he didn't realise Melanie was in the shot. Madge is eventually talked round and starts to laugh.
No.22, evening
Eddie has arrived to pick Christina up. She is dressed in a very sexy blue dress.
CAROLINE:(hissing) Christina, I can't let you go out dressed like that!
Eddie doesn't seem to mind, though(!) and puts his arm round Christina saying he has some very special plans for her tonight.
Caroline and Paul are gobsmacked.
Robinsons
Helen is painting when Beverly comes in from the hospital. Jim comes in and tells her that he's booked a weekend away for them. Beverly is speechless but is quite pleased. She goes off to pack.
BEVERLY:(to Jim) You can be very thoughtful sometimes!
A restaurant
Eddie is telling Christina what a fantastic lady she is. He's a bit surprised because he thought she was shy. She suggests that they go to a nightclub but she looks a bit uncomfortable. She finally confesses to Eddie that she's playing the part of Caroline tonight - she actually is shy, but she's trying not to be boring.
CHRISTINA: So that's all this is, it's just an act. I'm sorry Eddie, but I guess I am shy. And boring too.
Eddie tells her that he liked her fine the other night when they all had dinner and he still likes her. He thinks it was rotten of Caroline to put her in this situation.
Robinsons
Beverly is nearly packed. Helen tells Jim that she's so glad that he and Beverly will be having some time on their own. Jim and Beverly leave happily for their trip.
No.24
Madge and Harold come home late from Church - apparently Harold faced the music after all! He claims that no-one would look him in the eye though(!)
No.22
Eddie and Christina arrive home. They kiss and Christina invites him in. Caroline has waited up for them on the sofa. Christina tells Caroline that she's a great sister and if it hadn't been for her, she'd never have got together with Eddie.
EDDIE: What she's trying to say is, it's love at first sight!
CAROLINE: But it was just a date.
CHRISTINA: No, it was much, much more than that.
EDDIE: It's the real thing, Caroline. I've asked Chrissie to marry me.
CHRISTINA: And I've said yes. Isn't it wonderful?
