Robinsons
Jim tells Madeleine awkwardly that he's glad he can help, but there's nothing to be afraid of. Madeleine milks this for all it's worth but eventually Jim manages to persuade her back to bed. Madeleine tells Jim with large eyes that she's very grateful to him.

Des's, the following morning
Jane calls round and Scott is already there. Jane is still upset about firing Gloria and Mike tells her that Harold has been round to reimburse Des for quiche! Now Des has got the guilts about taking longer lunch hours than he should at the bank(!) Scott says that he'd take little items of stationary from the newspaper and Mike admits he'd have the odd drink at the jazz club. Mike and Scott don't think it's that bad. What it boils down to is that Jane has fired Gloria for something that most people don't think is that bad!

The Coffee Shop
Harold is marking up the menu board when Gloria comes in. They chat about Madge's father's condition. Gloria tells Harold that she's been fired but she hasn't told Rob yet. Harold says she'd better tell Rob quick. Gloria asks Harold if she can help him out as a volunteer to give her something to do with her day. He agrees.

Robinsons
Madeleine has slept late and comes out in a silky nightgown. She says she hopes Jim didn't take her actions during the night the wrong way. He says she was just frightened.
Katie comes in with a camera. Helen says the Erinsborough News are running a funny photo competition and Katie is excited. When Todd hears that the first prize is a surfboard he agrees to help her out(!)

The Coffee Shop
Gloria is clearing some tables but the Coffee Shop is very empty. Harold suggests that she goes home and tells Rob what's happened with her job. Gloria isn't looking forward to telling Rob though. Harold and Gloria discuss the morality of small thefts. Gloria is adamant that taking dregs is a perk of the job. Harold says that Jane had a point, and she's under a lot of pressure looking after Lassiter's. Gloria says she is starting to see Jane's point.

Robinsons
Todd and Katie are going out to look for funny photo subjects.
Jim and Madeleine are talking in the lounge. Jim invites her to stay for lunch and he'll drive her back to the hotel afterwards. Madeleine isn't too keen on this - she says she's still worried about Conrad.
When Jim goes into the kitchen, the phone rings and we see that it is Scott. Madeleine picks up and chats to Scott briefly and says she'll see him in the morning to get back to work.
When Jim and Helen asks who were on the phone, Madeleine says it was Eric Conrad! Jim wants to call the police but Madeleine says they have no proof. Helen tells Madeleine that she must stay on with them to make sure she's safe.
Madeleine goes off to the shower and when she's gone, Jim looks a bit worried about Madeleine staying. He says he needs to talk to Helen about something that happened last night.

Des's
Jane is still agonising about sacking Gloria. She doesn't know how she's going to face her. Scott suggests that she thinks of something to fix the situation.
Mike suddenly stands up and says he's going out. Scott and Jane watch him go in surprise.

Robinsons
Todd and Katie aren't having any luck with their photo.
Madeleine comes into the living room wearing nothing but a towel(!) Jim is very uncomfortable. Madeleine "accidentally" drops her towel, much to Jim's horror and Todd takes a picture!

Mangels
Gloria has come to apologise to Jane and says she was right to sack her. Gloria says she's happy to pay for what she took and Jane says that's fine - Gloria can have her job back. Gloria is delighted. Jane admits that everyone steals a bit, including her, for example making personal phone calls from the office. Jane says that Joe claims he's never stolen anything at all though and they laugh about this.

The Coffee Shop
Harold and Hilary are chatting about Des's swimming lessons.
Gloria comes in and says she'll see Hilary later at the Robinsons' barbecue. She tells Harold that she's spoken to Jane and sorted everything out. She just has to ring Paul to sort it out. She's optimistic that things are going to be OK though.

The Park
Todd and Katie are still looking for funny photo subjects. They look over the back fence of Mrs Chubb's house and see Hilary and Mrs Chubb doing aerobics. They take a picture and giggle!

Robinsons
Jim is telling Madeleine to forget about the towel-dropping incident. He's a bit awkward though and goes off to start the barbecue.

Convalescence Home
Mike is visiting the girl from his dream, the one who fell off the motorbike (Jenny). Mike blames himself for the accident, but Jenny says there's no point placing blame - she wanted to come on the bike. Mike wants to give her money for any extra therapy she'll need. Jenny says bravely that it was just one of those things. Mike looks very guilty. The camera pans down and we see that Jenny is in a wheelchair.
