Recap
Madge and Helen make friends, then Madge bashes a hole in Helen's work surface.
At the garage
Tony is on the phone to his mum who is crying. He hangs up and tells Jim he is not marrying "the girl" despite his mother's pressure. Lucy arrives, still in a glum mood. She's bored and fed up of people picking on her. Jim says there's a car needs vacuuming if she needs something to do and offers her a dollar to do it! Lucy is not getting her hands dirty for that kind of money and runs off to see a friend.
At the clinic
The receptionist tells Bev that Mrs Robinson has made an appointment. When Bev asks which one she is surprised to hear it is Gail. Lucy interrupts and settles in for a moan. She recounts the troubles of the day and asks why everyone is blaming her. Beverly offers to take her out to see Jacob (the horse) at dinnertime and Lucy is rapt, saying she'll make an excellent mum... as she leaves she sees Gail waiting and is intrigued but Beverly refuses to take her anything.
At the garage
Henry is reluctantly bringing Bertha in for repairs - he doesn't want Tony to fix it because he's still mad about him stealing Sally. Tony says he and Sally are just friends and that Henry should ask her out again.
At the clinic
Gail has spoken to Bev and asks if she thinks she should have more tests? Bev says she can get her an appointment that afternoon, but reassures her that even if the news is bad she's sure Paul will understand.
At the office
Gail is finding it hard to concentrate and keeps looking at her watch. When Paul asks if she has an appointment for something she says she has a toothache and is going to go out and do something about it. Paul offers to go to the dentist with her but she puts him off. Before rushing out she asks if he was serious about having kids the other night. He says of course.
At the garage
Bertha is broken. Tony offers to lend Henry his truck for the afternoon. Henry shakes his hand and says he's not such a bad bloke after all. The phone goes and Tony spills the beans about his overbearing mother wanting him to get married to a girl she's found. Henry is shocked that arranged marriages still go ahead. He tells Tony he has an idea - why don't they go out to lunch to celebrate the end of their feud?
At the coffee shop
Mike is moping over modelling pictures of Jane. Harold tells him she won't be seeing Glenn anymore but Mike thinks that'll only be until he's back in town again. Harold tries to apologise about the shares and Mike tells him it wasn't his fault. Henry and Tony come in talking tactics. Henry thinks they should write a letter, although that's all the poor viewer is told at this point.
At the office
Jim brings in a bill for cleaning a limo. Paul teases him about a man of his age detailing cars then asks how he'd feel if he told him he and Gail were thinking of starting a family? Jim answers that he'd be delighted, although not if it were Charlene and Scott. Paul hints that they are enjoying spending a bit of time together... then asks how Jim's enjoying spending a bit of time with Madge and Henry? Jim says they're lovely people but Henry uses all the hot water in the shower, even Lucy is getting fed up. Paul asks if he should be dropping a few hints to Scott but Jim protests that Scott and Charlene deserve all the time together they can get. He can live with it. Paul jokes that in that case there's only one thing for it... get to the shower first.
At the coffee shop
Henry and Tony are bickering about who's eaten the most food whilst still writing the letter. Henry goes to pay and has a look at Mike's photos. He quickly picks up that Mike hasn't used the best photo of the lot. Mike protests (too quickly) that it's just a reject. Henry asks in that case, can he have it? Mike has no choice but to say yes. A delighted Henry tells him to keep the change, until Mike points out that he's already given it to him! Henry goes back to the table with a great idea - put the photo of Jane in Tony's letter and say she's his fiancé.
At the clinic
Jim comes in and says he hopes Lucy hasn't been complaining about being bored. Beverly sends Lucy back into her office to pick up something she's handily forgotten, and tells Jim that Lucy thinks she's being unfairly blamed for everything. She's depressed and Bev wants to try and snap her out of it. Jim says he will come along and see the horse too, would that help? Bev is delighted.
At the office
Gail comes back to the office and Paul asks if they took out every tooth in her head? She confesses that she didn't go to the dentist. Paul thinks she chickened out. He tells her that he told Jim about the idea of them starting a family and he thinks it's great. She says "Paul..." in a tone that suggests she's about to confess all, then does chicken out and says she loves him. He pulls her onto his knee and says he's never been happier in his life.
At the coffee shop
Beverly, Lucy and Jim are back from visiting Jacob but Jim has to run off back to the workshop. Beverly says now they can get down to the serious business of choosing wedding invites. Mike comments on how romantic the date they've chosen for the wedding is - 14th Feb, Valentines day. Beverly is surely lying as she says this never even occurred to her. Harold comments that he and Madge thought it was romantic when they chose that date and Beverly looks guilty.
At the workshop
Henry returns Tony's van. Tony says he's going to work on Bertha in his own time so he only has to charge Henry for parts - he wants to thank Henry for thinking of the letter scam. Jim returns from his pony riding and comments on how Tony and Henry are bosom buddies now. He warns Tony that Henry's a bit of an operator, and a lot of his bright ideas backfire. Tony is sure this one won't.
At the clinic
Gail has come back to tell Beverly the test results - the doctor she saw (that afternoon) confirmed that the news isn't good (How quick are the doctors over in Oz?) She's decided she isn't going to tell Paul, and asks Beverly not to say anything either.
