The Coffee Shop
Des suggests he call Eileen to take over The Coffee Shop. Daphne doesn't think it's a good idea and also doesn't want to use someone from an agency. She wants the personal touch. Harold apologises for eavesdropping but asks Des and Daphne if they would consider him for the job.
Robinsons
Madge is telling Helen about her mini argument with Mrs Mangel. Madge tells Helen that Madge Mitchell is gone and Madge Ramsays back. Helen tells Madge she has been very brave and tells Madge to forgive her if she slips up and calls her Mitchell by mistake! Both women despair at Mrs Mangels behaviour and Madge asks Helen to approve a letter she has written informing people of her name change. Beverly arrives and Helen introduces her to Madge. Beverly has come to thank Helen for telling her to contact Clive. She did so and in turn Clive asked her to be his locum for a few weeks whilst he tends to his sick father. Beverly says a few weeks work will come in handy and Madge says it will be nice to have a female doctor in the neighbourhood.
The Coffee Shop
It's all systems go as Harold gets ready to settle into his new role as Coffee Shop manager. He asks Des and Daphne if he can fill the shop menu with vegetarian and health food cuisine. Daphne doesn't like the idea but Des feels they should give Harold a chance.
Lassiters
Harold tells Mrs Mangel that he is the new Coffee Shop manager. Mrs Mangel is pleased to hear there will be a new owner and says whilst Daphne is away she will give Harold her custom. Harold tells her she should forgive and forget her grievances with Daphne and tells her he won't be at home tonight as he is seeing a health food specialist. Mrs Mangel relays news of Madges name change to Harold and makes fun of it. Harold once again tells her that her feuds with the neighbours will not get her anywhere.
Ramsays
Harold congratulates Madge on her name change and she realises Mrs Mangel must have broken the news to him. Henry tells Harold he has changed his name too in order to start a fresh and hopefully get his business off the ground. Harold tells Madge that he will be managing the Coffee Shop whilst Daphne has the baby; she is thrilled as it means he will be sticking around for a while. She invites him to dinner but he tells her has to see a specialist about health food for the shop. Harold offers Henry $600 for the gardening equipment. Henry is touched but tells Harold he doesn't want to get into debt with his friends. Harold admires his spirit and Madge thanks Harold for his generosity.
Robinsons
Helen and Beverly are having lunch and Helen apologises again for Jim's behaviour. She tells her he really did have business problems and is glad Beverly gave as good as she got. She asks if Beverly would accompany her to an art exhibition, Beverly agrees.
The Waterhole
Madge is reluctant to serve a gang of youths, as she's not sure they are over 18. They show her proof of age and she serves them. Meanwhile Henry is trying to sell Liquid Beauty to a mate. He tells him it doesn't work the way it should but will strip paint like no other material on the market! He has himself a deal. Mrs Mangel arrives and sees the youths drinking.
Lassiters
Paul is walking over the bridge behind a blonde woman. He calls out 'Crystal' and she turns around. They hug and exchange pleasantries. Paul asks her how the modelling is going and she tells him it's boring as there are no men around. Crystal says she's heard all about his business empire and figures that's why he hasn't called her. As she plays with his tie, Gail emerges from the office and sees them together. Crystal tells Paul to give her a call and they share a rather intimate kiss. Paul walks towards Gail and she asks him who the blonde was. He explains that he and Crystal used to go out together and Gail says she already had that impression. (!) Paul asks Gail if she's jealous but Mrs Mangel interrupts before she can give an answer. She tells Paul and Gail that Madge is serving beer to schoolboys. Gail asks Mrs Mangel if she spoke to Madge about the situation, she said she did but only received rudeness from Madge. Paul goes into the Waterhole whilst Gail looks back in the direction of Crystal.
The Waterhole
Paul asks the youths for proof of age and trips them up when he asks them for personal details they can't give. It seems they have stolen licenses. Paul throws them out and Madge doesn't understand how Paul came to suspect anything underhand was going on. Paul tells Madge she should have been more careful and tells her that if it hadn't have been for Mrs Mangel they could have been in trouble. Madge says Mrs Mangel should have spoken to her and Paul says he was told that she had. When Paul leaves Madge tells Henry that Mrs Mangel could have made her lose her job.
The Coffee Shop
Helen, Daphne and Gail are waiting for Madge. She has called them for a meeting. When Madge arrives she tells them what happened with Mrs Mangel and Paul. Madge says Mrs Mangel interfering with her livelihood is not on and Daphne agrees. Madge thinks they should all 'send Mrs Mangel to Coventry'. No one must speak to her unless they really have to. Helen and Gail say it will be hard, as they have to work with Mrs Mangel. Daphne thinks it's a great idea and they all agree it's what Mrs Mangel needs to pull her into line.
Clarkes
Daphne is playing with a remote control car when Des comes home. He tells her he has a surprise for her but she'll have to wait until Mike comes home as he need help to carry it in.
Ramsay Street
Mike drives into the street on his motorbike and sees that one of Beverly's brake lights isn't working. He tells her and she introduces herself to him. Beverly tells Mike she is here to see Helen as they are going to an exhibition tonight.
Robinsons
Helen invites Beverly in. Helen tells her she has just had a phone call from Hilary who wants to know how Jim and Beverly are getting on. Helen mentions Ann and Beverly says that Jim must have loved her very much. Helen says they all did but doesn't feel they should be discussing Jims private life.
Clarkes
Des and Mike bring in a huge toy chest. Daphne sees Des struggling and goes to help. As Des steps back he treads on the cars remote control and whizzes round the room causing Des to loose his grip on the chest. Daphne falls to the floor in pain and Mike hurries to get Beverly.
