Robinsons
Jim is getting the dinner started and Helen says that Lucy has something to say to them at dinner. Helen says that Scott and Charlene seem to be getting on well and tells Jim about the friendship ring. Jim says he's glad it's not an engagement ring - Scott's too young for that. Helen counters that both she and Jim were engaged at his age.
Charlene's caravan
Scott is quietly looking forward to giving Charlene the friendship ring. He's just getting some sausages off the barbecue when he catches sight of Greg hiding behind his car. Greg claims he was just checking out Scott's car while having a walk. He wants to know if Scott and Charlene are going out later, but Scott says they aren't. Greg runs off.
Scott goes back to the caravan and tells Charlene that he can smell petrol. He thinks it's from her overalls(!)
Scott tells Charlene about Greg hanging around the caravan. Charlene says she feels a bit sorry for Greg and somehow they get into an argument. Charlene tells Scott to get lost and he stalks off to his car. As he does so, Greg hides under the caravan. Scott doesn't drive off, however, he goes back to the caravan to make up with Charlene. As he does so, Greg accidentally tips the entire petrol can over. The petrol is ignited from the flames of the barbecue and Scott jumps over the flames to rescue Charlene. They notice that the flames are going towards the gas cylinder and start to run. As the bottle explodes, Scott throws Charlene to the ground and shields Charlene's body with his. Scott sits up, taking in the skeletal remains of Charlene's caravan, but Charlene lies still. Scott tries to shake her awake but she doesn't respond.
Just then Paul runs up having heard the explosion from the hotel. They take Charlene off to hospital. The caravan is still burning.
Robinsons

He tells her that she'll go to Erinsborough High and like it.
When Lucy has stormed off to her room, Helen talks to Jim about Lucy's lifestyle when she lived in Europe. Helen says that it might make sense to send Lucy to a private school in Australia.
The phone rings and it's Paul to tell them about the exploding caravan.

Madge rushes up and she and Jim go off to find the doctor. Helen resassures Scott that Charlene's injuries might not be serious. Scott sadly gets out the friendship ring and looks at it.
Lassiter's Restaurant

Hospital Corridor
Sue and Warren rush up and Jim tells them that Scott and Charlene are fine, but any of Sue's belongings that were in the caravan are lost. Sue says most of her stuff is at Warren's anyway. They exchange theories as to how the fire started. Warren asks Sue if she wants to crash at his place tonight and she agrees. He tells Sue quietly that he wants her to think about going out with him. Sue agrees.
Charlene's Hospital Room
Madge tells Charlene that now she'll have to come home(!) Charlene asks Madge if she's sure that she didn't blow up the caravan herself! Madge leaves to go and talk to Rob about Charlene's job.
When Madge has gone, Scott and Charlene have a pash. (Bleurrrgh!)
