Recap
Scott tries to sort things out with Charlene. However, in the middle of conversation, Madge comes over and tells Charlene they have to talk.
Gail worries about the racing car Number 13. She thinks it's a jinx. Jeremy's father was killed in it.
Charlene realises who the prowler was.
No.24
Charlene accuses Henry of being the prowler - she thinks he's trying to get her out of the caravan so Sue can move in. Henry confesses that it's true - but he only did it for Charlene's own good(!) He just wanted them to be all together as a family again. Charlene is furious and says she's going straight back to the caravan.
HENRY: I guess I blew it.
MADGE: Yes, Henry, you certainly did! You've made her more determined than ever not to come home now!
HENRY: It's not my fault!
MADGE: Well, whose fault is it then?!
She says she knows Henry meant well, but it's no excuse. She heads off to work.
No.26
Paul and Gail arrive for dinner. Paul asks Helen if she's heard from the McArthur Award committee but she hasn't. Helen has heard that Gail is moving into Clive's house.
HELEN: It'll be nice to have you living nearby, we'll be able to see a lot more of you (pointedly) won't we, Paul!
PAUL:(wryly) Yes, yes we will!
Caravan
Henry has brought all of Charlene stuff back to the caravan and she is arranging it. Charlene is still cross with him for scaring her and says it's hard living on your own as a single girl. Henry tries to get her to move Sue in again, so Charlene throws him out!
As he's leaving, Scott comes in.
No.26
Jim has arrived home and has joined Paul, Gail and Helen for a chat. He tells them that Jeremy has been into the workshop talking about parts. Gail is not impressed and seeing this, Paul tries to change the subject. They go through to the dining room for dinner.
Waterhole
Madge is berating Henry again for scaring Charlene. Some blokes arrive for a bucks party and Henry gives one of them some money from a bet. They invite Henry to join the bucks party and he accepts, pleased. Rob and Jeremy also arrive for the party. Madge begs Ivan to go easy on the furniture tonight(!)
Harold comes in and Madge is surprised to see him. He says he has come to supervise and protect Madge if the party gets out of hand. Madge doesn't look impressed!
Caravan
Charlene and Scott are having a cup of tea. He tells Charlene that he'd like to apply for the job of looking after her - he's sorry for being jealous of Warren before.
SCOTT: I was jealous because I love you.
CHARLENE: I've had a chance to think things over lately, and you know what? When you walked in on me and Warren the other day I'd just finished telling him that the only guy I cared about was you.
SCOTT: No kidding?
CHARLENE: No kidding.
They kiss.
Waterhole
The bucks night is in full swing and Harold is not impressed. Madge says that the men are just having a bit of fun. A lady comes in and Harold initially thinks she is respectable and clears her a place at his table, but it turns out she is the stripper!
The screams of joy from bucks night participants are heard outside the complex. Inside, Harold is protesting to Madge, but she says it's a private party and he mustn't make trouble. He sits down at a table, his head in his hands.
No.26
Gail is not eating her dinner - she's not very hungry. Helen suggests some coffee and Gail apologises for not being a very good guest.
In the kitchen, Helen and Paul talk about Jeremy. Paul has the feeling that Gail doesn't entirely hate Jeremy, but the break- up must have been bad to affect Gail like this.
Waterhole
The stripper is leaving and Harold is still protesting to Madge. She tells him to shut up.
Some of the men start singing and Madge even joins in a bit. Rob has a good- natured hand around Madge's waist. Harold gets up and yells at him, telling him to release Madge, and that they should all stop acting like barbarians! Ivan gets up and confronts Harold, saying he's looking for trouble. Madge tries to break them up, but Ivan just calls Harold a sticky- beaked wimp! Finally, Jeremy steps in and suggests that they all have another drink, effectively dispelling the fight.
Madge begs Harold to go home - he's the one that needs looking after, not her!
No.26
Gail has cheered up a bit now after a bit of chatting about holiday destination. Scott comes in and is in a good mood after seeing Charlene. He tells them there'll be no more break- ups from now on!
Paul decides to head off to check up on the bucks party, and Gail decides to go along so she can check on Rob! She apologises to Helen and Jim for being so down tonight, and says she'll invite them to dinner when she moves next door to make up for it.
When they've gone, Helen and Jim wonder why Gail is so tense about the racing car.
Waterhole
Paul and Gail come in - but the bucks party has moved off to a nightclub. Paul asks if there was any trouble and Madge is forced to tell him that things did get a bit tense, but that Jeremy managed to smooth things over.
When Madge has gone, Paul and Gail sit at a table. Paul wants to know what's up with Gail and Jeremy - he hates seeing her upset. Gail says that Jeremy is a charmer. She's still bitter after the break- up, even though it's been 18 months.
PAUL: You know what I think? I think you don't really hate Jeremy as much as you say you do.
No.24
Madge arrives home, closely followed by Harold who has come to check she is OK. Madge rants at him for his performance at the Waterhole and Harold apologises. She tells him they'll talk about it tomorrow and shows him out.
Hotel
Jeremy arrives back at his hotel room and finds Gail inside.
JEREMY: Well. Fancy meeting you here.
