Sue Parker tells Scott that Charlene and Warren have got something going on.
Scott prepares to run off to confront Charlene. Nikki reasons with him saying that Scott has never believed a word Sue Parker said, so why should he start now?! She points out that Scott let Charlene go to the party because he loves and trusts her. Scott starts to see reason although he's worried that Warren will try something.
Ramsays, the following morning
Charlene is hungover and feels and looks awful. She can't remember a lot about the party from the night before. Shane asks where the parties she went to were and how she got home. But Charlene can't remember how she got home. Just then she drops her glass of juice. Shane sends her off for a shower while he cleans up the mess.
Des, Daphne and Mike are having breakfast while Des gets all paranoid about Daphne and Phil's previous relationship!
Scott comes in and tells them about what Sue said about Charlene and Warren. Mike says he hasn't heard anything about Charlene and Warren and Daphne agrees - Sue is a nasty piece of work. She advises Scott to talk to Charlene about it rationally.
In the kitchen, Des continues to harangue Daphne about Phil. She tells him that he's got nothing to worry about!
Charlene has had her shower. Shane tells her that she's not to have any more boozy late nights.
Ray comes to see Charlene. He demands to know where she and Warren were last night. He asks if Warren got into a fight last night - because he was found in the gutter near his place and is in hospital! Charlene says that she can't remember what happened at the party - her mind is blank after they arrived.
Ray thinks that Charlene knows more that she's letting on, but Shane says that Charlene is no liar and she has no reason to protect the thugs that bashed Warren. Apparently the police want to talk to Charlene at the hospital to try to find out what happened. Shane goes along with her.
Scott sees Charlene getting into Ray's car. She says she'll talk to him later. Shane tells Scott that Warren has been bashed and that Charlene can't remember what happened. Scott is angry that Charlene got so drunk. He says he'd like to know what else she can't remember!
The police are interviewing Charlene, but she doesn't know anything about Warren's friends or how she left the party. She admits that she'd been drinking and she can't remember anything beyond arriving at the party and dancing with some guy. Ray still thinks that Charlene is protecting the bashers.
The nurse comes out and tells Ray that Warren's left arm is broken and he has bruises and swelling to the back of his head.
Ray tells Charlene to start talking, but she genuinely doesn't know anything. She tells Ray that she likes Warren and wouldn't see him get hurt. Ray is clearly very upset about Warren's injuries and isn't thinking straight.
Jane and Mike come round and Nikki lets them in. They ask if Nikki would like to study with them, but she's not too keen. Mike says that he's sorry for what Warren said the other day but it shouldn't stop them all from being friends. They wear her down with the promise of Daphne's rock cakes and Des doing a barbecue for lunch! They agree to be friends again.
Charlene arrives hom and Scott immediately starts shouting at her about Warren. Shane breaks them up as Mrs Mangel tells them off for shouting on a Sunday morning. Scott says that it's about time Charlene was taught a lesson - she just uses people and he won't pick up the pieces this time.
Des, Daphne, Mike, Jane and Nikki are preparing lunch. While Des, Mike and Jane go out to the barbecue, Daphne and Nikki have a chat. Nikki says that she's made up with Mike and Jane - she's handling it OK now. She says that if you really love someone, you should want them to be happy. Besides, she's got her exams to worry about!
Des comes back in and tells Daphne sheepishly that he had a bit of an accident with the meat!
Charlene is sulking in her room. Shane tried to lure her out with a sandwich but fails. Eventually she surfaces and Shane sees that she's in tears. He makes her a cup of tea. She's very upset about Scott dumping her. Shane says that it's her own fault for drinking so much - she didn't have to give in to peer pressure. He tells her to stand up and be different if she wants to. He comforts her saying that everyone makes mistakes - the trick is learning not to make the same one again.
Daphne is irritated that Des dropped the meat in the flowerbed(!) But she lets him off with a kiss. Des says that marriage is a team effort, and they're a good team. Daphne says that Des could help more around the house and Des suggests that he takes up ironing!
Ray comes round to see Charlene who is now studying. He starts going on at her again. Apparently some other kids have told him that she was with Warren all night. Charlene protests that she doesn't know - she can't remember. Ray doesn't believe her and grabs her roughly so Shane is forced to defend her.
