She gives Danny an early birthday present. She tells him to have a good party. Danny looks a bit guilty. He tries to confess to Maria, but she is in a hurry.
When Maria has gone, he shrugs his shoulders and calls Pete. He tells him everything is fine for tonight and to bring some extra tinnies.
Robinsons
Paul is singing while making his sandwiches for lunch. Scott overhears him and goes to the phone.
SCOTT: Hello? Is that the home for mentally deranged air stewaOmerds? We got an emergency in Ramsay Street!
Paul laughs and tells him that he hopes Scott will behave himself at the party tonight. Paul says he feels a bit sorry for Danny having a daggy party. Scott tells Paul quietly that Danny is not having a daggy party - he's having a rave. Paul is not pleased to hear there won't be any adults there. Paul says it's a bit of dilemma - either dob in your best mate or hope for the best. Scott says he thinks he'll just hope for the best.
Party Hall
Sompe people arrive and are dancing. Danny and Scott are putting a table up. Scott is shocked see Pete and his mate arriving with a load of beer.
Des's
Des is watching the football when Paul comes to see him. He is eating a revolting dinner that he's cooked himself.
DES: I just threw everything I could find from the fridge.
PAUL: I've got that recipe!
Paul wonders where Daphne is. He thinks Des knows where Daphne is and they have a bit of a conversation at cross-purposes. Luckily Paul realises in time - Des thinks Daphne has gone to an interview. He thinks late at night is a bit of a funny time though.
Party Hall
Danny is dancing with a girl and having a good time. Scott is dancing with a girl who is drinking like a fish. Other randomers we have never seen before of since are also on the dance floor. A rather plump girl tries to get Scott to dance. She drinks from a whisky bottle.
Pete offers Danny some marijuana. Scott looks even more worried. It seems Danny accepted because in no time at all he is stoned. Scott tells him off for being talked into it. Danny says he didn't want to seem like a kid. Scott says it's about time Danny grew up.
Just then, some mates of Pete arrive with even more grog. Scott says that the party is going to get out of hand. Pete's mates pour their beer on the floor and laugh.
Ramsays
Shane has arrived home, but no-one is there.
Des's
Des answers the phone to a man called Frank Barker. He wants to talk to Daphne. He leaves a message that Daphne's act was the best he'd seen in ages and he'll call her back tomorrow about some more bookings. Des closes his eyes in horror.
Party Hall
Danny is dancing with a girl. She kisses him passionately and Scott rolls his eyes. He tells Danny that his mate Pete is a walking drug-store. Danny goes over to see Pete and tells him not to deal drugs - they can have a good time without drugs. Pete agrees to stop dealing (yeah, right!)
Pete shows his mate some sort of drug that he wants to use on Danny. I am not sure what types of drugs were available in 1985, but things don't look good for Danny!
