Jane, Aaron, Isla and Nicolette are opening presents. David is the latest Ramsay Street Resident to appear in a bauble (which apparently Isla made)

ISLA: Did Santa visit Daddy?
AARON: Yeah. I'm sure he did, bunny.

Jane gets the turkey out of the fridge while Nicolette waxes lyrical about being allowed to move back in with Aaron and Isla. OK then.

Penthouse
Paul, Leo and Krista are opening presents with Abigail when Terese arrives. Paul is delighted to see her - they've both got each other watches for Christmas!

No.30
It's more sedate at No.30 with Byron and Max awkwardly wishing each other a Merry Christmas.

Vera has left a note saying brunch is off and Max tells them he's off to join Paul at the penthouse for Christmas lunch.

Waterhole
The Varga- Murphys are having coffee so that they "don't mess up the house before leaving for New York".

Dex tells Leo that he thinks he's seen Seb hanging around the landscaping yard.

Holly is on the phone to her mother, then awkwardly goes over to Cara with a present.

DEX:(hostile) You can't just bribe your way out of this!

Cara tells him off for being rude but he is unrepentant.

No.24
Byron, Sadie and Trevor have arrived. Aaron wants to get a group photo of them all for Tyler in Adelaide.

While they're doing this, Trevor apparently steals the turkey and takes it into the garden.

Waterhole
Dex is still banging on about Cara not being able to have a baby because of Holly. JJ finally tells him to let it go - it's Cara's business.

Harold's Cafe
A dodgy bloke comes in and tells Leo he's got a present for Sebastian Metcalfe, saying unconvincingly that he's Seb's cousin. Leo tells him to try Power Road.

Paul and Terese have popped in for a drink, then Jane comes in and tells them about the turkey. Paul suggests to Terese that he just invites Jane and family over to the penthouse. Terese admits that she hasn't told her that she and Paul are back together.

Terese calls Jane back and invites her to the penthouse and she graciously accepts.

Waterhole
Dex tells Cara that he's sorry and has decided he's in the wrong. Cara just wants to focus on having fun on the New York trip. Dex says he'll make up with Holly.

Nicolette is inviting Yaz to the penthouse with the rest of them. She accepts and they kiss.

Penthouse
Jane and Terese are serving from a very nice- looking Christmas hot buffet.

Paul says a few words.

PAUL: I just want to welcome everyone to a combined Robinson, Tanaka, Harris, Stone, Sinclair, Willis, Ramsay, Rodwell, Brennan family Christmas! And you know, every year I get to meet and embrace new members of the clan. And also, sadly, say goodbye to other way too soon. You know, the thing is, they live on in out hearts and memories and their kids. You know, the grief that we felt with their passing never lets us forget just how blessed we are that they did come into their lives. But you know what? I feel blessed as well that we're all here to celebrate family and friendship and of course - good neighbours. Merry Christmas!

Trevor is apparently in the dog house. Krista and Leo are all loved up.

Lassiter's ground floor
Yaz is just about to go up to the penthouse in the lift when Holly passes, who is also on her way there. Yaz decides not to go and texts Nicolette accordingly.

Penthouse
Jane is surprised to hear that Vera is having lunch with Curtis as Jane thinks he's gone to Albury for Christmas to so Auslan Santa.

Holly arrives and gets talking to Aaron, offering him work on LightsUp (he has experience with lighting from his dancing days)

Leo takes Krista out to the balcony with Abigail.

LEO: Krista...we love you so much, you've made my life complete. So, we want to ask you something.

He gets down on one knee and Abigail hangs him a ring.

LEO: Will you marry me?
KRISTA: Yeah. Yes, yes!

Everyone looks on happily while he puts the ring on Krista's finger and they all applaud.

PAUL:(hugging her) Welcome to the family!

Max heads home. Nicolette is putting Yaz a "care package" together.

Terese looks thoughtful and then suddenly makes a decision.

TERESE: You know what, everyone, I've got an announcement. Um...Paul and I...well, we...

She kisses him.

TERESE: For the purpose of clarification, this is not a proposal, it's just, we're getting back together.

Paul hugs her happily.

TERESE:(to Jane) Are you surprised?
JANE: If you're happy, then I'm happy.
TERESE: I am very, very happy.

She hugs Paul again.

HOLLY: Well, does anyone else have any other news? Byron and Sadie, maybe?
BYRON and SADIE: No!

Yaz's hotel room
Yaz is watching the video of Heath with him stating that Holly has gone crazy in the Outback.

She gets a text saying that her package has been delivered to 28 Ramsay Street. What, on Christmas Day?!

There's a knock on the door and Yaz opens it to Nicolette. She doesn't think Yaz looks very sick.

NICOLETTE: If you didn't want to come, you could've just said so.
YAZ: I'm sorry.
NICOLETTE: I get that today's hard for you, and I'm sorry if I pushed you too hard but this is a crappy way to treat someone. Especially on Christmas Day.

She hands her the food and walks off.

No.28
Dex pops round and hands Holly a package that he found outside. He apologises for being so hard on her earlier and she gives him the present for Cara.

When he's gone, the phone rings and it's Izzy again.

No.30
Max and Vera talk awkwardly.

VERA: I heard you talking about me last night.
MAX:(embarrassed) Vera...I didn't mean it.
VERA: Yeah, you did. And you're right. I don't belong here. I shoul dhave found somewhere else to go, but I couldn't face being along again.
MAX: I thought you always lived by yourself.
VERA: Living here, I've realised I need company. Someone to talk to at the end of the day.
MAX: How about I get you dinner?
VERA: There's nothing in the house, love. I've eaten all the choc chips and prunes. Could get ugly later on.
MAX:(laughs) Come on, I'll buy you dinner. And I've got some gossip about Paul's party to tell you about.

He starts looking at takeaway apps.

Holly is still on the phone to Izzy about her latest boyfriend. Holly advises Izzy to talk to her therapist about it, but it turns out she's kissed her therapist(!)

Holly hangs up and finally opens the package.

It's perfume with a card from Heath - "I want you just wearing this"

Holly starts having a panic attack and calls Sadie.

Airport
The Varga- Murphys are at the airport ready to board to New York. From a distance, Cara spots someone she knows - it's Chelsea and she's clearly heavily pregnant. The others don't notice.

Power Road
Max is picking up the takeaway for Vera and sees Sadie and Byron - he explains that he's trying to make things up to Vera. Byron and Sadie feel really guilty too and wonder what they can do for Vera too. Byron goes to get some wine in the shop.

Just then, Seb walks across the road and drops a coin. Sadie picks it up and gives it back to him, but a speeding car is approaching. Max is nearest and runs to drag her out of the way.

The screen fades to black. We hear a loud thud and Byron shouting, "Sadie!"
