Number 22
JJ does his best to calm a frantic Nell down who is aghast at moving to Colac. He promises not to let her go given how long it took them to be together.

Toadie isn't amused to see JJ/Nell pashing when he and Terese arrive home especially given she denied that there was anything going on in her life. JJ explains they've been keeping their relationship secret (because of Dex) and Terese suggests he heads home to allow them to chat.

Toadie now gets why Nell is against moving to Colac and tries to explain that this move is "what's best for all of us" even if Nell feels the total opposite!

Number 24
Jane finishes doing her recorded video message for Haz/Mackenzie but is curious why Byron hasn't put his phone away. This is because he wants to know, given she was a deepfake victim, how she forgave Haz. Jane admits she was deeply hurt as well as feeling violated given what happened but in the aftermath of the community rallying around Haz after his accident, it helped to remind her what a good person he is and "who is worthy of forgiveness" and finishes by giving him a 'glowing report' of how he is now.

The Waterhole
Given Nell's family know about them being a couple, JJ now tells his family too. While Cara/Remi take the news okay, Dex bolts from the bar after hearing that they've kissed.

Lassiters Complex
Terese and Nell are sitting outside Harolds talking about the move to Colac. She admits to not being happy on hearing the news from Toadie and reminds Nell that its up to her (and Hugo) whether they go or not. Nell isn't too sure as if they say no, will Toadie cancel the move and stay in Erinsborough feeling "miserable"?

Hospital
Andrew drops by to see Felix and explain the process for his release tomorrow. He spots the bible on Felix's table and doesn't quite believe that his brother has found religion.

Moments after Andrew leaves, Felix's roomie returns (they've now been doubled up rather than being in single rooms). With the guards not paying attention to him (and warning Felix not to dob him in) Wade sends a message on a mobile someone smuggled in for him.

Number 32
Byron shows Mackenzie another glowing video testimonial about Haz, this time given by Andrew.

Nicolette and Sadie arrive with wedding favours and after hearing what they were up to, ask to see more of the videos Byron got and so he plays the one the VM's did.

Harolds café (next day)
After saying bye to someone, Toadie spots Terese at the counter and thanks her for helping him yesterday with the kids. While she may have been calm for the kids' sake, she is still furious with him and does think he is running away.

TOADIE: I hope one day you understand.

Terese pulls him back as he is about to exit to question if he is uncomfortable with Nell dating JJ given his previous comments but it's a no, he's upset at Nell for not saying she was seeing JJ. Spookily, just as Terese is suggesting he has a chat with his daughter, she messages him asking for just that, so he exits the café this time.

Paul catches Terese letting out a huge sigh as he swaps places with Toadie. He wonders what Toadie has done now and but she doesn't want to talk about it, given what's happened in the past 24 hours. Terese scoffs when Paul tells her about the warning Toadie dished out to him, citing he is in "no position to warn others when he keeps turning other people's lives upside down."

Ramsay Street
When they arrive home, JJ turns down Remi's offer of being a "mediator" as he walks towards Dex who is shooting hoops on the driveway.

JJ: All right, you get one free punch… just not the face!

Thankfully Dex doesn't punch his brother, he is peeved because JJ didn't tell him about seeing Nell especially given the pact they made about not keeping secrets. JJ's rationale is that it "seemed easier" to keep quiet especially given Nell's dad! Remi does jump though when Dex does punch JJ, thankfully more a play punch into his shoulder as the brothers finish clearing the air between them before going on to shoot hoops together.

Number 28
Nell asks Hugo how he feels about moving to Colac. The lad likes the idea of moving and hopes she doesn't hate him! When she brings up about leaving his friends, Hugo's attitude is he will make new ones in Colac.

Toadie and Hugo swap places (the lad is off to play soccer/football) and he begins by apologising to Nell for feeling she couldn't say anything about dating JJ. He adds in that he doesn't have an issue with JJ, the issue is with himself. Toadie goes on to tell her about how he overreacts when he's losing someone and brings up his fears over the decisions Sonya made as a teenager (her addition, having Callum and then abandoning him to be raised by his grandmother) "haunted her for the rest of her life" even stretching to putting their marriage "in jeopardy at times."

NELL: You can't compare JJ to the ones who let mum astray.

Toadie does remind her about some of JJ's past and his bad influence was rubbing off on her, so he was right to be worried, although he is okay with the lad now. "I'm not going to get pregnant!" she points out to her dad and thankfully he takes this as a joke!

TOADIE: You're both kind and decent kids and you've made us parents proud… but I would be lying if I said that my fears weren't still there on some level. And it's not about JJ, it's about everything that has happened to us here in Erinsborough.
NELL: So you're still determined to move us away?
TOADIE: Darlin', I just want a chance for you to understand my reasons. It's still gonna be your decision.

Number 32
In amongst her packed belongings, Mackenzie comes across her wedding photo with Hendrix and sits staring at it.

Meanwhile in the background, Byron has his fingers crossed that Haz's parents will hurry up and watch the video given Amira hasn't heard a peep from them yet.

The household gets a visitor - Jane dropping off some speakers she's lending them from the school. While she is in the house, Nicolette asks her mum to pass the message onto Aaron that she won't go to the wedding, she will babysit Isla instead. Jane breaks the news that Leo/Aaron have arranged a babysitter for both girls and Nicolette does her best not to break down crying.

After hurriedly putting the photo back among her belongings when Haz approaches her, Mackenzie volunteers to take the speakers to Harolds, citing she needs to pop out anyway. Before she goes though, she does reassure him that she is fine.

Number 28
Toadie is tyring to sell the move to Colac with Nell, reminding her about the extended family they have there as well as grandparents that she loves. Nell reluctantly concedes that it would be good to be closer to Angie and Big Kev given they aren't getting any younger - a factor that is in Toadie's thinking [about the move] too. She tells him that Hugo wants to move but Toadie points out that it "has to be a family decision" … all three of them and asks that she thinks about it a bit more before she says no!

Lassiters Lake
Mackenzie sits by the lake, holding the wedding ring Hendrix gave her, while in her head, she is sure that he'd be happy she found love again and that wherever in the world she is, "you will always be with me."

Just as she says those last words aloud, a blue butterfly flutters by her and her spirit starts to soar again…

Number 32
…But that happy feeling goes when Mackenzie arrives home to hear that despite Byron's video, Haz's parents won't be coming to the wedding. She then is the one to break the news to Haz after he comes inside from bathing Trevor. Haz seems confused as his parents were okay on the phone to him last week, so Amira explains that some days they can move on… other days they can't plus the fact he hasn't been home "to make amends in person" hasn't helped.

MACKENZIE: Your dad is angry that we're going to Paris first before making things right with the family.

"I never thought mum and dad would be a no-show," Haz admits especially after making peace with himself that his brother wouldn't be at the wedding.

Harolds café
Andrew confirms to the VM's that Felix is being released in the morning and that he has found god too - something not unusual among prisoners although Andrew does admit he has his doubts. JJ says Felix can do whatever he likes as it "makes no difference" to him and leaves with Dex to kick the footy around.

Once the kids leave, Cara hopes that Felix sticks to his word and stays away and thinks the religious aspect is purely a stunt "to make us think he's changed."

CARA: Well, it's not going to work. There's no way we're gonna let him back in our lives.

The Waterhole
With Paul looking on from the bar, Toadie has a quick word with Terese while he waits for Nell to come back from the toilet. He tells her about the chat with Nell where they worked "through all the Sonya stuff" before adding that she still isn't on board with the move to Colac but "at least the lines of communication" are now open.

While Toadie was talking, Terese barely acknowledged him, and when he finishes, he almost checks that she heard him. Accusingly, she wants to know why he warned Paul about hurting her and his explanation is as a friend, he thought he was doing the right thing. "We're not friends!" she is quick to point out and isn't impressed at him interfering in her life either, even if he was just trying to look out for her.

TERESE: You lost the right to that when you ended our marriage. We may be having to put on a united front when it comes to the kids, but as far as the rest of my life goes, you need to stay the hell out of my business!

Toadie acknowledges her rant at him and Nell caught the tail end of it too when she came out of the toilet. At the bar, you can't keep the smirk off Paul's face!

Number 32 (next day)
It's Haz and Mackenzie's wedding day and Byron is starting the day off by making a special brekkie for the groom (pancakes) and says even if his parents aren't going to be there, the day is still "gonna be epic." Haz sincerely thanks Byron for the video he made in an effort to try and convince his parents to attend.

Barely moments afterwards, Mackenzie and Amira rush into the kitchen with the news his parents are landing in an hours' time! Haz wonders what it was that changed their minds and turns out they were still debating whether to come or not when some random butterfly landed on their dad's laptop and wouldn't leave. Their Mum remembered Haz mentioning it was an important symbol to Mackenzie, so they took that as a sign they needed to attend the wedding!

Hospital
Felix pretends to be asleep as Wade is on his illicit phone confirming with the caller that they've got everything required as today is the wedding day.

WADE: It's my last chance for payback before they leave.
