Ramsay Street
Young loves Nell and JJ debate whether they should say something about them being together but for obvious reasons (Dex and what is happening at home for Nell) they agree to keep things on the down low.

The pair then notice Terese walking down the street, and when we cut to her, you can see she is upset.

Hospital
Haz is impressed at how well Mackenzie is doing and hears the docs think she can go home tomorrow too. Now she is back with it, Mackenzie wants to know if she said something that might have freaked Haz while she was out of it.

HAZ: No, there's nothing worth mentioning.

Number 26
Nicolette is more than happy to get away from the frosty atmosphere in the house to go deliver a pressie Cara accidentally left behind.

Andrew confirms to Sadie that yes he did find Wendy but no, he isn't okay and confirms that she was right, there was something going on between Quinn and Wendy. Both look relived that nothing physical happened, and when Sadie goes to talk to her mum, Andrew explains she isn't coming home tonight. Sadie is blaming herself and wishes she hadn't said anything, but Andrew is quick to reassure her that it wasn't her fault. "Where is she?" Sadie asks and Andrew's reply back is that he doesn't know.

The Waterhole
Wendy tries to ignore her ringing phone as she hides out in The Waterhole. She plans on sleeping in the office too until Melanie catches Wendy telling Aaron about her plans and insists that she stays the night at her place.

Number 28
Over a beer, Toadie admits to Andrew that he was "way over the mark" in wrongly accusing Terese of drinking again, adding that he "can't seem to get anything right lately." "Tell me about it!" is Andrew's reply back and the pair go on to talk about his marriage woes.

Andrew admits that after hearing about Wendy/Quinn, his first throughs was that Wendy was "outgrowing" him but he now realises that he "overreacted" and regrets telling her to stay elsewhere. Toadie suggests that maybe the space will be good but Andrew isn't sure and then goes on to say that both of them have made mistakes and to get past it, they need to leave what has happened in the past.

TOADIE: You reckon it's as easy as that do you?
ANDREW: (shaking his head) Nah.

Hospital/Number 32
At the hospital, Sadie is unloading all her woes about her mum/Quinn to Mackenzie but she's not paying attention because she has now remembered what she said after coming round and tells Sadie about proposing to Haz! And at #32, Haz tells Byron about his quandary over whether to tell Mackenzie what she said on coming round. Byron wonders if Mackenzie remembers proposing and Haz thinks she does.

Back at the hospital, Mackenzie is telling Sadie that she must have been thinking about proposing while unconscious and the happy life they'd go on to lead in Paris. Back at the house, Byron is curious where Paris came from and Haz has no idea. We hear when we cut back to the hospital where Paris came from - Mackenzie has got a job offer from the firm she had an interview with and admits to Sadie that it is tempting her but she needs some conversations first, with Haz and Toadie.

Haz admits that he's never loved anyone as much as he does Mackenzie, but she feels that he wishes he'd not heard what he did… however we then hear him say to Byron that if the proposal was real, he'd have said yes! Sadie warns Mackenzie that she "can't leave it like this," she has to "have a proper conversation" with Haz.

MACKENZIE: But what if I'm setting myself up for rejection?
SADIE: I have an idea!

Melanie's apartment
After inspecting the spare room, Wendy is happy with the digs offered to her by Melanie. Melanie is relieved not to be alone, admitting she's had difficulties sleeping after what happened in the outback. Wendy admits that she feels "like a bit of a scarlet woman" and Melanie's immediate reply back is "join the club!" which causes Wendy to apologise.

MELANIE: Wend, please don't stress. You would have to be hard- pressed to find anyone who hasn't made some sort of romantic stuff up in their life.
WENDY: Just didn't think it would be me and Andrew.

Number 32 (next day)
Mackenzie arrives home from the hospital and Haz gets her comfy on the sofa before going to make her a cuppa. Sadie and Byron are also in the house, so Mackenzie tells everyone about the job offer she received. Haz is thrilled at her being given another shot and agrees that she has to give this "once in a lifetime" opportunity "some serious thought."

Haz gives up making the cuppa and moves over to where Mackenzie is on the sofa and gets down on one knee so he is at her level [he's behind her, not in front]. After a few deep breaths (and Sadie/Byron are hanging on waiting to see what is going to happen!), Haz begins.

HAZ: There is a lot that you have to weigh up but I will support you no matter what you decide.

However everyone seems surprised that it wasn't something else that came out of his mouth!!

Number 22
Hugo is having difficulty seeing his sister's happy face after she texts JJ (seeing if he wants to hang out and study). The lad is then very happy to see his dad arrive at the house, however Nell is more cool with him before both are sent packing to allow Terese to talk to Toadie.

Once the kids head upstairs, Toadie is surprised that Terese wanted to see him and he's just beginning to apologise when she interrupts to explain why he's there - the kids. She acknowledges that while she is just their stepmother, Terese reminds him of her promise to be "in their lives forever," and so she wants something formalised. Toadie readily nods his head and thinks the kids will like that too - she will come up with something and send it to him.

We hear that a new tenant has been found for the nursery and somewhat reluctantly he is giving it up, "for everyone's sake."

Number 32
Out in the garden, Sadie points out to Mackenzie that she needs to talk to Haz about the proposal, not just Paris.

MACKENZIE: It's obvious he's not that into it.

Inside the house, Byron points out that now they know why Mackenzie mumbled about Paris but Haz is quick to point out that the proposal wasn't mentioned. "That doesn't mean she regrets it," Byron replies with and outside Sadie is sure that Haz was putting on a front due to being "shocked."

MACKENZIE: I know Haz, and that wasn't shock.

Sadie is sure Haz knows how much this job opportunity means and that he will be happy for her. Mackenzie wonders if Haz is keeping quiet because he "doesn't want any part of it?" And inside, Haz's stance is that "this needs to be about what Mackenzie truly wants."

HAZ: I would marry her any day, but me bringing up something that she doesn't even remember, that shouldn't influence her one way or the other.

Byron reminds Haz that Mackenzie wants to be with him and while he semi- agrees, its just the job opportunity that has him unsure of "what she wants in the future." And outside, that is Mackenzie's biggest fear and swears Sadie to not "say anything about this to anyone" which expressly includes Byron! Likewise inside, Byron promises Haz to keep his mouth shut!

However Sadie tells Mackenzie that is "a huge mistake" and likewise Byron tells Haz he will "end up regretting it."

The Waterhole
Keeping quiet that they know something is literally killing both Sadie and Byron! Even Aaron comments about them looking "like you're about to explode!" when he hands over their coffee's. Simultaneously they blurt out that Mackenzie/Haz want to marry and then that Aaron can't say anything! On his "bartenders honour" Aaron promises to keep quiet what he's just heard!

The pair then realise that they've just signed their own 'death warrants' by blurting that out and hope given both Haz/Mackenzie are "smart people" that they will "sort it out eventually."

Number 32
Offscreen Mackenzie has told Toadie about the job offer and we hear him offer his congratulations to her. He has no issues with her accepting, indeed Toadie jokes that if possible, he'd accept it on her behalf! She is concerned though to hear that he is revaluating things including his law business but Toadie is quick to reassure Mackenzie that "this is the perfect next step" for her.

TOADIE: Guess I'm just wondering what the next step for me will be.

Melanie's apartment
Wendy lets Andrew into the apartment. He's barely in the door when she tells him about informing Quinn that they "can't be friends anymore," which Wendy knows should have happened earlier. In turn, Andrew knows he shouldn't have let her stay elsewhere last night.

WENDY: You know, I wasn't looking for something or someone else. I was looking for me.

Andrew wonders if she's had "some sort of mid- life crisis" and Wendy is quick to reply "no" but then adds it has taken her up until now "to realise I've spent my entire life being who I thought everyone else thinks I should be." "Including me and Sadie?" Andrew asks and Wendy eventually replies "yes." Andrew admits he doesn't understand it either, he does wish that he could though before adding "I guess that's the problem."

WENDY: Well, it hasn't helped.
ANDREW: So, what does this mean for us?
WENDY: I honestly don't know, but I hope that we can work through it together.

"Yeah, me too," Andrew replies before asking Wendy if she is going to come home. "We have to start somewhere," she acknowledges before the pair silently look at each other.

Number 32 (garden)
Byron and Sadie collude together in their separate talks with Haz/Mackenzie to bang some heads together especially when it comes out that both parties know about the proposal!

BYRON: I've done what I can, now its up to you two to figure it out.

While the quote was said to Haz, it was said loud enough that Mackenzie also heard it too!

Lassiters Park
Nell is unloading to JJ about the nursery being let out to someone else. Pulling her into a cuddle, he reassures Nell that her mum will be with her "the whole time no matter what." The comforting/reassuring words seem to have done their magic although Nell admits, this wasn't how she imagined their first time hanging out together as boyfriend/girlfriend would be like. JJ jokes that "it beats pretending to study!" before adding "the thing about being together is that you have to take the good with the bad" oh, and he isn't "going anywhere" either!

Number 32
You could cut the tension between Haz/Mackenzie as he makes her a cuppa before joining her on the sofa. Eventually they onto talking about Paris but that barely lasts a few words before the silence/tension returns.

HAZ: I did hear your proposal in the hospital.

Both want to know why the other then didn't say something! Mackenzie kept quiet as she didn't want to freak him out while Haz thought she regretted saying it! "Now what?" Mackenzie asks and Haz wants to go to Paris with her, he is more than happy to give up his life in Australia.

HAZ: I love you Mackenzie Hargreaves.
MACKENZIE: I love you Hari Devkar.
BOTH TOGETHER: Will you marry me?
BOTH TOGETHER: Yes!

And the couple seal their engagement with a kiss!
