Toadie opens the door to Nicolette, who waltzes straight past him and into the living area.
NICOLETTE: Sorry for the random drop- in, but I have a situation and you are the expert, so here I am!
TOADIE: Do you need a lawyer?
NICOLETTE: No! Money. Not yours. Unless you're offering.
Nicolette laughs in a slightly unhinged way, and Toadie looks concerned! He exchanges a glance with Terese who is over in the kitchen. Taking a seat, Nicolette explains that Kiri's old church is closing because they can't afford building repairs. Terese asks if Nic and Kiri are back together. Nicolette lets out another strange laugh.
NICOLETTE: No! Definitely not! Never! I am just being a good colleague to my co- investor. Making nice. And I want to do a fundraiser, like you do at the Foundation. So come on - what are your best money spinners?
Toadie suggests that jumble sales usually go well, as long as there's a decent lead time. But Nic says the church is being packed up as they speak. Terese reminds Toadie of a storage problem he has; a load of second- hand furniture has been donated to the Foundation but his warehouse provider needs him to get it out ASAP. As he's short on time, was planning to pass the furniture to other charities, or take it to the tip.
Nicolette says she'll happily take the furniture and set up a jumble sale to save the church.
TOADIE: Are you sure? It does need to be out of the storage facility in the next day or so.
NICOLETTE: Toadie! Have you seen me when I decide to get something done? I'm *terrifying*.
She slaps him on the leg and laughs again.
TOADIE: You are.
Nicolette insists she can do this.
Harold's Café
Krista is having a meeting with interim Lassiter's manager Brett. She wants him to run a budget call tomorrow, but he says it depends on how long his 'early meeting' goes on for. Krista is unimpressed.
KRISTA: Golf isn't a meeting, Brett.
BRETT: Well, it's with some suppliers...
Krista's phone rings and she goes outside to take the call, just as Nicolette comes in and makes a beeline for Brett.
NICOLETTE: Hey! You're the manager dude, Brett, right?
BRETT: My fame precedes me.
NICOLETTE: Well, I am Nicolette, and I would like to tell you about the most *adorable* little church.
BRETT: Yeah, look, you could do that, or you could just get to the point.
NICOLETTE: Okay. I want to do a furniture bazaar to raise money for that church tomorrow in the car park, which means cutting off a row of parking bays.
BRETT: Tomorrow? It's pretty last- minute.
NICOLETTE: All good miracles are.
BRETT: You can't do it anywhere else?
NICOLETTE: Brett - mate - buddy - it's a win- win! Lassiter's gets to play the good corporate citizen...
She slams his laptop shut and pulls it away from him!
NICOLETTE: Come on, Brett, it's a tiny favour. Otherwise, I could just sit here and try and convince you all night?
BRETT: Fine, fine. Whatever. But just... the work safety stuff? That is a you problem.
NICOLETTE: Too easy!
She texts Toadie to tell him they are 'a go'...

The next morning, Andrew and JJ are preparing to set off for their fishing/camping trip. Wendy rushes in with some snacks for them.
WENDY: And I threw in some extra rolls of toilet paper, because you don't want a repeat of last time.
ANDREW: Fair point. I had to burn that sleeping bag.
JJ: Okay, remind me to never hear that story ever, please.
Wendy asks Andrew to remind her when they're due back. He reckons around noon tomorrow. She tells them there's no need to rush back if they're having fun. Andrew's sure Wendy will have fun too.
ANDREW: This barbecue with your uni mates will be great. Might kick on, turn into a movie night?
WENDY: Yeah! Yeah, maybe.
Andrew kisses her goodbye, and he and JJ leave. Once they're gone, Wendy looks excited for her party.
Lassiter's Complex
In the car park, Toadie and Terese have arrived in a truck with all the furniture, and Nicolette has already closed off the parking lots. She's also enlisted the help of Haz, and starts giving everyone directions. Nicolette's a bit unclear on how she's going to price things, so Terese volunteers to take care of that.
Kiri turns up and asks what's going on. Nic says it's a one- day furniture sale, but doesn't explain what it's in aid of. Kiri asks if they have any bed frames, as she's going to have to start from scratch in a place of her own now she's moving back to Erinsborough.
NICOLETTE: Oh, right, so you're, like, definitely staying on permanently?
KIRI: I'm a partner in the vineyard. They need me here.
Kiri says she'll pop back when they're all set up. Toadie asks whether Kiri knows this is for the church. Nic says she doesn't want to get her hopes up unless there's good news.
Lassiter's Park
Aaron and Logan pick up drinks from the coffee hut. Logan asks if they should 'talk about it', and Aaron doesn't know.
LOGAN: I guess I'm just trying to figure out whether to be happy, or sorry.
AARON: No, not sorry. Never... never that.
LOGAN: Are you okay?
AARON: Yeah, I'm fine. I know things are complicated, and messy even. But honestly, Logan, thank you.
LOGAN: It was good, to feel a real connection to you, and...
AARON: To David?
Logan nods - but at that point Melanie, who is sitting nearby, spots them and rushes over to shout at Logan.
MELANIE: You. Get away from him!
AARON: Mel, it's not -
MELANIE: Don't worry. I have got this! Do you have no shame whatsoever?! Leave Aaron alone! In fact, do what you promised, and leave altogether.
AARON: Mel, it's okay.
MELANIE: He's just taking advantage of your good nature.
AARON: No, it's not him, OK, it's me! And we've been spending time together because that's what I want to do. And you know what? It's none of your business!
Aaron and Logan walk off together, leaving Mel shocked.

Holly has realised she has a missed call from work. 'That's weird,' she says, but appears to have no intention of calling them back! Sadie is asking for advice about which outfit she should wear to the music festival. Holly prefers the silver to the blue.
SADIE: It's not too shiny, is it?
HOLLY: Is there such a thing?
Wendy comes in and tells them they need to get moving, and gives them some money for drinks. They decide to go and get changed at Holly's. While Sadie goes to get sunscreen, Holly tells Wendy how 'genuinely so cool' she is. Returning, Sadie asks why there are loads of bags of ice in the laundry. Wendy makes an excuse, saying Andrew and JJ must have left them behind. Wendy practically marches the girls out of the door.
The moment they've gone, upbeat music and a montage begins, as Wendy begins transforming the house for the party - the main element of this being to remove all photos of Sadie and Andrew and hide them in drawers! She also takes her wedding ring off and hides that too, then smiles with satisfaction.
Harold's Café
Melanie is telling Nicolette that she saw Aaron and Logan spending time together, 'and more than just platonically'.
NICOLETTE: That is far from good.
MELANIE: He sees Logan as a link to David.
NICOLETTE: This better not be a repeat of a few months ago.
MELANIE: Oh, when he was Partying™ with Krista?
NICOLETTE: All I know is that when Aaron hits self- destruct, he hits it hard.
MELANIE: He is not gonna want to hear from us. But we have to do something.

Wendy's party preparation continues, as she dispenses snacks and drinks, smashes ice and unfurls the ping- pong table. Quinn and Parker arrive, both dressed in green as per the traffic light party rules for singles. Wendy tells them the party doesn't start for another hour, but they say they're here to help her set up. Wendy says that's sweet, and admits she's a bit nervous - she hasn't hosted a party in a while.
PARKER: Don't be! This party is going to *slap*!
WENDY: Ooh!
Wendy takes off her jacket, and Parker and Quinn are surprised that she's wearing orange rather than green, which according to Parker's instructions means 'maybe' rather than 'single' (whereas red means you're taken). Rather than admitting she's married, Wendy claims that she didn't have time to shop for something green - so orange was the next best thing. She invites them indoors to help set the drinks up.
Harold's Café
Krista comes in and tears strips off Brett for the furniture that's clogging up the car park! Brett explains about the fundraiser and says he's approved it, but Krista reminds him that there are guests arriving soon for a black tie event, and they'll have nowhere to park, as the underground car park is full.
KRISTA: This was locked in six months ago.
BRETT: Yeah, look, I didn't want to drop her in it, but I think Vicki put it in the system wrong.
KRISTA: Vicki is housekeeping, not events. Did you say yes to this last night? What about our safety protocols? I mean, our insurances may not even cover this!
BRETT: I was, umm, being a good corporate citizen.
KRISTA: Shut it down. Now!

Dozens of students are now gathered in the garden for the traffic light party, all wearing variations on green, orange and red. Wendy looks apprehensive when she emerges with drinks and sees how many people there are, but she forces a smile and begins greeting guests - remarking that two people wearing red 'have been busy', and adding that she'll need a full update!
Quinn notices Wendy looks stressed, and asks if she's okay. She admits that she didn't think so many people would have shown up already. But Parker thinks it's awesome, and they and Quinn go off to play beer pong. Wendy still looks stressed...
The Waterhole
Logan is sitting at a table when Nicolette and Melanie come in to confront him.
NICOLETTE: I'm supposed to be running a furniture sale, but instead I'm here, so we're not doing niceties.
MELANIE: We're here about Aaron.
LOGAN: Of course you are. Even though he said it has nothing to do with you.
NICOLETTE: Listen to me, you twisted twerp. Whatever sadistic game you're playing on him, it stops now.
LOGAN: Aaron was the one who came to me this time.
NICOLETTE: Which he never would have done if you hadn't weaselled your way into his life.
MELANIE: This all started with your manipulation.
NICOLETTE: Was it your plan to trap him in the past with you?
LOGAN: That is not what I'm -
NICOLETTE: Ooh, just so we're clear, I'm not interested in your answers - just in stopping this insanity. So let me break this down for you as simply as I can. You're grieving a guy who never cared for you. Aaron is fixating over the lost love of his life. So the only thing you two have in common is a dead man, and that's not romantic - that's creepy. So unless you're an actual psychopath, deep down you must know that it's wrong. So do the right thing, and back off.
Aaron has appeared in the background, working at the bar. He looks concerned when he sees what's going on. Once Nicolette and Melanie have finished glaring at Logan and walked out, Aaron rushes over.
AARON: Are you okay? I am so sorry - that was totally out of line.
LOGAN: No need for apologies... You and I, we need to have a proper conversation.
Lassiter's Complex
In the beer garden...
AARON: This is a tight- knit community, but that was meddling on a whole other level. You just need to ignore it.
LOGAN: Aaron, I've really loved spending time with you.
AARON: That feeling is mutual.
LOGAN: And not just for the David of it all, but because... well, you are wonderful. I get it now why David chose to build a life with you.
AARON: Yeah. I mean, we're both really lucky to have been able to really know him. And I'm just forever grateful that he was able to bring us together. Logan, last night was so important to me. You were the first person I've been with since David.
LOGAN: It meant a lot to me too... but David is still gone. And hanging onto his memory like this...
AARON: No, no, no - hold on. There is nothing wrong with that.
LOGAN: (...) It's going to hold us back.
AARON (emotional): You're the only person who loved David as much as I do.
LOGAN: This isn't right.
AARON: Of course it's right! I don't know what more you could want.
LOGAN: I want what you and David had. I want to love someone who loves me back. Me, and not a ghost.
AARON: What? It's -
LOGAN: And I can't do that unless I move on.
AARON: I think Nic and Mel have just got into your head.
LOGAN: Because they're right. I'm sorry Aaron, I really am. I wish this could be what we truly need, but... it isn't.
They hold hands, both emotional, then Logan gets up to leave.

We open on two blokes pashing in a US- teen- movie- style pan around the garden, the traffic light party now very much in full swing. Wendy is taking shelter over by the shed, where she's on the phone to Karl, reassuring him that it's just a barbecue - and promising to turn the music down!
Now not enjoying herself at all, she gears herself back up with a fake smile and starts dancing back into the throng! Quinn asks if she's had a drink yet, but Wendy says she's too stressed for that.
QUINN: Stressed about what? Nothing's been broken. No one's thrown up on the carpet yet.
WENDY: Wait - what do you mean, 'yet'?
QUINN: There's only one vital thing missing from this party. Guess what it is.
WENDY: Err...
QUINN: Wild Wendy! Come on. You know what? I think it's time for...
PARKER: Shots, shots, shoooooots!
Parker has emerged with a tray of shot glasses. Wendy refuses at first, but knocks one back after Parker insists. Wendy fakes a 'yay!' but Parker is unimpressed.
PARKER: Just one? Come on!
PARKER and QUINN: Wendy! Wendy! Wendy! Wendy!
Wendy downs another shot, and everybody cheers...
Lassiter's Complex
Sales are really picking up at the furniture bazaar, Haz reports to Nicolette, while she tells him she's got online buyers coming down in person.
NICOLETTE: Oh, Toadie - I don't love that, can we just put it back to how it was?
Toadie seems to be straining with the weight of a large sofa, so Haz goes over to help sort it out. Terese offers to mark down the prices to help get things moving.
NICOLETTE: Yeah, but we want to make some money. Uh, Toadie, no, that's not how we had it, doll!
Toadie, now under the sofa, is in the middle of lifting it in the air, but doesn't complain! Nicolette gets a message from Brett, and tells everyone that he's revoked his permission for their sale, and said they have to be gone within the hour. Not at all happy with this, Nicolette tries phoning Brett, but he doesn't answer.
NICOLETTE: Oh, you think you can ignore me?! We'll see about that, buddy.
She marches off to find him. Exhausted from lifting all the furniture to and fro, Toadie suggests maybe someone should go after Nic; Haz isn't keen, so Terese hurriedly follows her. Haz asks if a breathless Toadie is okay, then tells him he's got some stuff in his hair and begins picking it out!
TOADIE: Always happy to help!
Harold's Café
Terese follows Nicolette indoors.
TERESE: Listen, before you go all nuclear, just take a breath! You can catch more flies with honey than... than pulling them apart!
Nicolette takes a deep and rather sarcastic- looking breath, and assures Terese she'll try to rein it in, before plastering on a very strained smile and greeting Brett and Krista, who are at a table.
NICOLETTE: Hi, there! Sorry to interrupt - just one small thing. Why the *hell* are you moving us on? Because I did all of your safety stuff, Brett, and we have more people coming.
BRETT: It's a... it's a matter of feasibility.
NICOLETTE: What does that even mean?!
BRETT: Feasibility means whether or not something can be practically -
NICOLETTE: Oh, that wasn't a request for definition. It's so feasible that it's already up and running.
KRISTA: Look, I'm sorry, Nic, but we have a long- standing event and we need the car park. We can do yours another day. Next month.
NICOLETTE: No, Judas! It has to happen today!
KRISTA: Well, I'm sorry, but our hands are tied.
NICOLETTE: Hmm, okay. Can you please give us one more hour? The congregation will leave if they can't fix their church.
Kiri is coming out of the bathroom and overhears this. She asks Terese what church Nic is talking about; Terese explains it's Kiri's old church, and that Nic's organised the furniture bazaar to raise funds for it. Kiri looks surprised.
NICOLETTE (to Brett and Krista): If they leave, you know who suffers? The community. So please, don't stop us now when we are so close to making all of this right!
Kiri is now listening intently to Nic...
Ramsay Street
Andrew and JJ are back early from their trip. Sadie appears and asks why; Andrew explains the campsite was double- booked, so they decided to come home. Sadie says Holly 'did a Holly' and realised she got her work shifts mixed up, so they didn't end up going to the music festival either.
SADIE: So, I just figured I'd join Mum's barbie.
JJ: Yeah, about that - are you guys hearing what I'm hearing?
There's a lot of noise coming from No 26...
No 26
In the garden, Wendy is playing beer pong and, having succumbed to alcohol, has forgotten her worries and is now having a great time! Indoors, there's more pashing on the couch and the place is a bombsite. JJ, Sadie and Andrew stand by the door, looking confused and in Andrew's case, unamused!
In the garden, Wendy downs another two shots; while in the kitchen, someone is dancing on the worktop (Helen Daniels must be turning in her grave!) Andrew demands that the extras tell him what's going on, but of course, gets no reply.
ANDREW: Where's Wendy? My wife?
Wendy is still in the garden, dancing extravagantly with Parker while Quinn watches from a distance. Quinn comes over to dance too, and Parker leaves them to it. Quinn seems very taken with Wendy.
QUINN: I know you're not... in green and all that. But do you maybe want to go somewhere private, and... get out of the orange?
He takes her hand.
WENDY (surprised): Oh. Uh...
But at this point, Sadie, Andrew and JJ appear in the garden.
SADIE: Mum? What's going on?
