- Logan tells Melanie and Leo that they won't be seeing him again. 'Good,' retorts Leo
- Leo tells Nicolette and Byron that he has to consider the silent investor option, for the sake of Yorokobi
- Kiri tells Byron that she really is sorry it's ended this way
- When the investor phones, Byron answers and tells him Leo's no longer interested; but Krista overhears
Yorokobi
Byron begs Krista not to tell Leo what she's overheard.
KRISTA: What? How can I not?
BYRON: We can make things work with Kiri - I know we can. Please? Nic and I deserve a chance to prove ourselves.
KRISTA: I can't turn a blind eye to this. Besides, Leo could easily swap notes with Breen and figure out what you did.
BYRON: ...
KRISTA: Either you tell him, or I will!
Byron instead proposes fixing it by calling Mr Breen the investor back. He manages to get through and tells Breen there was a misunderstanding before, and that Leo would be very keen to meet with him after all. Krista shakes her head in disbelief at Byron's behaviour.

Wendy, Andrew and Sadie are having breakfast. Sadie says that one of her friends saw Wendy looking 'spicy as' on the uni campus.
ANDREW: Is that a good thing?
SADIE: She asked where your top was from.
WENDY: ... Oh, nowhere special! It must've been some outlet sale.
Wendy gets a text from Parker, saying that they can no longer have the traffic light party in the original venue - and asking if Wendy can host it at her house instead! Wendy looks conflicted...
Yorokobi
Krista is still angry with Byron, but he argues that the damage is now undone.
KRISTA: You were still prepared to undermine Leo.
BYRON: The meeting is back on, okay? That's all that matters, right?
But at this point, Leo walks in, talking to someone on the phone - the assistant of Mr Breen. Once he's finished, he tells Byron and Krista that Breen has cancelled their meeting and withdrawn his interest. Leo tried to get an explanation, but 'apparently, he's just gone cold on the whole idea'. Krista gives Byron a look.
LEO: Maybe it's for the best, anyway.
BYRON: You think so?
LEO: Yeah. Well, if he's wishy- washy, it's probably better to know now.
KRISTA: Byron?
LEO: And I was up all night last night anyway, thinking about you and Nic (...) Look, I feel bad about how everything went down. Maybe we should have another talk about it?
BYRON: ... Yeah. Definitely. We can rehash the original idea.
KRISTA: ...
BYRON: But, you know, give it a minute. Nothing wrong with taking a bit of time.
Krista looks unimpressed, but doesn't say anything. Leo rushes off to the distillery, leaving Krista and Byron alone again.
KRISTA: You should have told him.
BYRON: I called Mr Breen! You saw that - the meeting was back on.
KRISTA: But Mr Breen obviously got spooked and pulled out.
BYRON: Look, you heard Leo, right? Let's focus on that. He was up all night thinking about me and Nic, okay? Maybe this happened for a reason.
KRISTA: That's quite a spin!
BYRON: Okay, look, can you just please not say anything? See how this one plays out?
Krista is still annoyed.
Harold's Café
Holly suggests to Haz that they go out tonight, but Haz says Mackenzie wants to stay in and have an early night. Holly doesn't want to take no for an answer, but Haz insists Mack's been working really hard and covering for Toadie - so it'll be a no unfortunately. Holly looks annoyed!
HOLLY: Well, hey, what about you guys?
The camera zooms out as Holly turns to her left, and we see she's talking to Aaron and Nicolette!
NICOLETTE: Do we even go to the same places?
HOLLY: Girl bars, boy bars - they all serve drinks, don't they?
AARON: Thanks, but we have to stay in with Jane.
HOLLY: Boring!
Holly gets up and leaves. Aaron remarks that she's bounced back quickly from her kidnapping ordeal.
NICOLETTE: As if we'd be good company anyway. You just got targeted by an obsessed psycho...
AARON: I wouldn't exactly call Logan a psycho.
NICOLETTE: ... and my ex can't stand the sight of me. Though she's happy to nudge me out of my dream business! Whoo (!)
AARON: Well, things can only get better from here, right?
NICOLETTE: Yeah, for you. Logan's out of your life. Kiri's still in mine.
Nicolette moans that Kiri won't hear her out about the whole Sasha situation, so she doesn't know what she makes of it all.
Kiri's Church
Kiri finds herself visiting her old church, and happens to run into Sasha, who's carrying some packing boxes. He explains he lives on Phillip Island now, so has left the congregation - but he got a call from the pastor, asking him to come back and help pack up.
SASHA: The church is shutting down.
Kiri looks surprised and sad.
No 30
Remi is helping Cara look for phone. Cara shouts from the other room that she's sure she left it on the dresser, but it's not there - so Remi says she'll take a look in Cara's work bag. Cara rushes in to stop her, but it's too late. Remi's found the phone, but also Cara's IT textbook from uni.
REMI: Whose is that? I thought our kids were *born* tech- savvy.
Cara lies, claiming she found the textbook at work and is intending to drop it off at the hotel lost property. Remi accepts this. They're just about to go out when Andrew and Wendy call round.
WENDY: Yoo- hoo!
Wendy explains they've heard that the education department might give JJ another chance at Erinsborough High. Remi and Cara say they have their fingers crossed, but it's pretty tough waiting for the decision.
WENDY: Well, that's why we're here.
ANDREW: Yeah, I plan to go fishing in the next week or so. I thought JJ might want to tag along.
REMI: Oh, yeah - I mean, sport, fresh air and no phone signal sounds like the perfect way to offset waiting.
WENDY: Oh, well, you know, why wait? Why not tomorrow?
ANDREW: I thought you wanted to go to the country market.
WENDY: ... Oh, no, that'll be on again.
Cara looks at Wendy suspiciously. It's becoming clear that Wendy is taking the initiative on this not just for JJ's sake, but in order to further her plans for the traffic light party! Andrew says he'd struggle to swap his shifts in order to go tomorrow, and Remi and Cara tell him not to worry, but Wendy persists.
WENDY: But JJ needs this when he's most nervous - not when it's convenient, Andrew!
ANDREW: Yeah, of course, you're right (...) Look, I'm sure I can call a favour and get the shift sorted.
WENDY: That's great! Well, tomorrow it is!
REMI: Well, why don't we just check with JJ and let you know?
Wendy and Andrew agree, and head off again. Cara smiles to herself.
Harold's Café
Nicolette is still with Aaron, and gets a message from Byron telling her that things might be back on track with their vineyard investment. He hasn't mentioned the silent investor, but has asked Nic to come to the vineyard and he'll explain all. Aaron can't come with her as he has a shift at the Waterhole.
While Nicolette pays the bill, Aaron gets a text message. We don't see who it's from, but he glances around furtively after reading it, and looks conflicted.
Kiri's Church
On a bench, Sasha tells Kiri that while numbers at the church are steady, the building needs a new roof and other repairs, so there aren't the funds to keep it afloat - hence the closure.
KIRI: I'm sorry. This place was such a safe haven for so many people.
SASHA: There's another church I can recommend a few suburbs away.
KIRI: Oh, I'm not looking to go to any church.
SASHA: Then, why are you here?
KIRI: I was in the area. I was passing by. Something drew me in. I dunno.
SASHA: ...
KIRI: After I moved away, I guess you could say I had a crisis of faith.
SASHA: Because of me and Nicolette?
KIRI: Yeah, you were a leader here. I looked up to you. But you were also my friend. So when I realised that something was happening between you and Nic, it... shook me.
SASHA: We both did the wrong thing.
KIRI: Yeah... You used to say that she was bad for me. And then I find out you've got feelings for her.
SASHA: At first, I was hoping you'd break up with her, so I wouldn't have to see her again.
KIRI: Well, apparently she was attracted to you too. You know, she only admitted that the other day.
SASHA: Just so you know, nothing physical ever happened between us, I swear. I gave Nic plenty of chances, but she wasn't interested.
KIRI: Yeah, that just makes it even more hurtful, and confusing.
Lassiter's Complex
Cara is coming out of the café when Wendy appears. Cara tells Wendy that she's spoken to JJ, and he's keen to go on the fishing trip with Andrew. Wendy's pleased, and says she was just about to head out to get some camping supplies for them, 'to make sure Andrew gets there on time'.
CARA: Wow, that's some serious preparation (...) Why do I get the vibe you're trying to get rid of Andrew for the night?
WENDY: ... Oh, no, no - it's not a bad thing. Umm, the party I was supposed to go to with Parker - the girl who was hosting it had this, like, plumbing disaster (...) so we needed a new venue, and Parker asked me. You know, and everyone's so hyped - if they knew that I had a solution and I let the party die, I would be cancelled for sure! I don't even think I have a choice, really.
CARA: Look, you do you. The less I know, the better.
WENDY: Yeah. Yeah, I... I *will* do me. It's on!
Cara laughs awkwardly along with Wendy. As she's walking away...
WENDY: It's *party* on!
CARA: Okay!
Wendy looks excited.
Yorokobi
Byron is filling in Nicolette on what happened with Mr Breen the investor. He says he's not proud of himself.
NICOLETTE: Well, *I'm* proud of you! Whatever it takes to get the deal back on!
BYRON: Uh, one small thing. Krista knows I called Breen.
NICOLETTE: Small thing? Hello? She is gonna tell Leo, surely?
BYRON: I think I convinced her not to.
NICOLETTE: You think you have, or you have?
BYRON: Look, this will all be contingent on you getting on with Kiri.
NICOLETTE (sulky): I'm trying!
BYRON: Try harder.
Leo comes in, and Byron says they're excited to resume the partnership. Leo says they should arrange a meeting with Kiri and hash everything out.
NICOLETTE (strained): That sounds lovely!
Leo goes to arrange a time, and Byron tells Nic she needs to sort things out with Kiri once and for all.
Kiri's Church
Kiri is helping Sasha with the packing, and expresses how sad she is that the church is closing.
SASHA: Do you still care about Nicolette?
KIRI: ... Err, I mean, I thought she was the love of my life.
SASHA: Even though you're so different?
KIRI: They say opposites attract. I dunno - I thought I saw a side of her that others didn't.
SASHA: The old saviour complex.
KIRI: No, she challenged me, too. Helped me see the world differently.
SASHA: You were never worried that she might be questioning her sexuality?
KIRI: No. I'd never have an issue with anyone questioning that.
SASHA: For what it's worth, I think there was more going on with her.
KIRI: She says she wants to tell me the whole story.
SASHA: Human behaviour is complex. Maybe you should hear her out.
Sasha walks away, leaving Kiri looking conflicted.
Caravan Park
Logan is packing up his bags to leave Erinsborough. He finds a photo of David in one of his pockets, and looks sad. There's a knock at the door and he hides the photo, before opening the door to find Aaron standing there, brandishing a toastie.
AARON: Figured I couldn't go wrong with cheese and mushroom.
LOGAN: When I said I'd miss the toasties in that text, that wasn't a hint.
AARON: Yeah, I know, I know. I was just passing by. It's no biggie.
LOGAN: Well, I am running on empty, so thank you.
Aaron asks Logan if he fancies a walk, and he agrees. They head out together.
No 32
Nicolette and Byron come into the garden to find Kiri reading on the patio. Nic asks if she can join, and Kiri says yes; so Byron leaves them to talk. Kiri explains about having run into Sasha and learned the church was closing.
NICOLETTE: Oh, I'm so sorry. Did you two talk?
KIRI: Yeah. He kind of made me realise that maybe I should hear you out.
NICOLETTE: Ask me anything.
KIRI: Were you actually into Sasha?
NICOLETTE: No. I'm not into guys.
KIRI: It's okay if you are. I mean, you said that you were attracted to him, right?
NICOLETTE: Yeah, I... I was. It freaked me out. It was a really confusing time. Looking back, I was never into Sasha, no. I was just playing with fire. And he gave me an excuse, and that's what I was really attracted to.
KIRI: An excuse for what?
NICOLETTE: To blow us up. I was convinced that we weren't gonna work. You were so good. And I thought that one day you would wake up and realise that I was bad news.
KIRI: Did I say anything to make you think that?
NICOLETTE: You didn't need to. The problem wasn't you, it was me. My need to destroy things, before they destroy me.
Lassiter's Park
Aaron and Logan are having a coffee. Aaron shows Logan a bracelet of David's, which was among the bag of clothes Logan bought from the Foundation. Logan recognises it instantly.
AARON: You should keep it.
LOGAN (emotional): I know I should say 'thanks but no thanks'. But I can't. That means a lot.
AARON: I know that look. I've been there, and I've felt that.
LOGAN: We both still feel it.
AARON: Mm. I mean, what was he like back in those days?
LOGAN: Well, he liked this hunk of junk, so...
AARON: He had questionable fashion taste, that's for sure.
LOGAN: Highly questionable! But he was so smart.
AARON: Oh, annoyingly smart.
LOGAN: Your turn. Tell me about grown- up David.
AARON: Well, this is where we got married. We both walked down one aisle each, and we met over there. From the moment he held my hands, I just... I just felt warm and safe. Yeah. That's what being with David was like.
They both look sad.
No 26
Andrew is packing for his camping trip with JJ, and asks Wendy what she's up to tomorrow.
WENDY: Oh, I think I'm a bit overdue for a good craft session.
ANDREW: Nice. Cool, you could have some friends over. It'd be great.
WENDY: ... Yeah, the thought had crossed my mind. Maybe I could invite some of my uni mates.
ANDREW: Yeah, go for it.
As Andrew heads into the kitchen, Sadie comes out of her bedroom with Holly.
SADIE: Mum, have you seen my new cropped bomber jacket? I can't find it anywhere.
WENDY (lying): Uh, no, no.
SADIE: This is so weird. I mean, all my faves have gone missing, and it's driving me nuts.
HOLLY: Sounds like an excuse to go shopping. Not that you need one.
Now moving to ensure Sadie is out of the house tomorrow too, Wendy tells them of a great music festival she's heard about from one of the casuals at work.
WENDY: They said they can snag some cheap tickets if you're interested?
Sadie and Holly enthusiastically agree, then head off out. Wendy messages Parker. 'Housemates all on board. Party at mine is a green light. Let's go!'
No 32
Nicolette and Kiri are sitting side- by- side by the pool, their legs in the water.
NICOLETTE: Have I made things better or worse?
KIRI: I'm glad we had this talk.
NICOLETTE: I really am sorry to hear about the church closing.
KIRI: Yeah, being back there, it just... reminded me how much good they've done to the community.
They share a fond memory of an Easter fête at the church, which resulted in Nicolette chasing a little boy who stole a basket of eggs.
NICOLETTE: I could not let him get away with it.
KIRI: Yeah, and then you felt bad and you bought him an Easter bunny anyway.
NICOLETTE: That boy was me. I could relate.
They laugh. Byron appears on the patio, and tells them Leo is on his way for a meeting. Nic explains to Kiri that they might have another shot at the partnership if the two of them can get along.
KIRI: Well, I was always willing to give it a go.
NICOLETTE: Thank you.
Lassiter's Park
Aaron and Logan are still reminiscing about David, as Aaron talks about his wedding day. But at that moment they spot Leo grabbing a coffee from the nearby hut, while on the phone to Paul. They both cover their faces with their hands, hoping Leo doesn't see them - and sure enough, he walks on by without noticing them.
AARON: I'm sorry. Coming here might've been a bit risky.
LOGAN: Worth it, though?
AARON: Yeah. I mean, talking with you about David is weird. Like different, in a good way. In the best way.
LOGAN: Well, I'm still amazed you're up for seeing me again. But sadly, my bags won't pack themselves.
AARON: Do you want me to walk you back?
Logan nods, smiling.
No 32
Kiri, Krista, Byron, Nicolette, Sadie, Holly and Leo are all raising a toast to the new vineyard partnership - it seems it's all been agreed and Leo, Kiri, Nic and Byron are going into business together. In the kitchen, Byron thanks Krista for not saying anything about Byron sabotaging the deal with Mr Breen.
NICOLETTE: I told him his actions were out of line.
KRISTA: I'm only staying silent because Leo was having second thoughts anyway.
BYRON: Thank you.
KRISTA: Don't make me regret it.
SADIE (appearing): Regret what?
BYRON: Umm...
Meanwhile, Nicolette checks in with Kiri, who's looking worried. But it's not about the partnership - Kiri admits she was thinking about the church and what a shame it is that it's closing.
KIRI: I just wish there was a way that we could save it. But apparently, there's not.
Nicolette looks thoughtful.
Caravan Park
Logan is packing his bags again, but stops as he holds David's bracelet. Aaron is lingering in the background.
AARON: So, where are you off to next?
LOGAN: I dunno. I'm not ready to go back to the city grind right now, so I'll probably just keep moving. See where the road takes me... Why?
AARON: ... What if I was to say that I didn't want you to go?
They hold hands, both holding David's bracelet at the same time. Aaron then leans in for a kiss. They both look surprised, but then enthusiastically resume...
