Lassiters Complex
Corey is worried when David mentions he saw video footage of the van, but relaxes when he realises he's trying to pin it all on his shoes. Harlow emerges from the Café just as Corey asks David why on earth he'd have any motive to trash the van. Harlow is confused, but Corey leaves the scene in a strop before David can ask any more questions.
Number 30
Toadie and Melanie are having a nice time drinking cocktails before they head out to dinner, but a spanner's thrown in the works when Amy arrives home in a mood. She tells them Levi showed her some van footage that doesn't prove either way if Harlow's the culprit or not. Mel thinks they should give Amy some space and go on their dinner date, but Amy's angling for some company. Melanie is put out when Toadie says they'll stay home and support Amy and reschedule their dinner for another time.

Corey is frustrated David's trying to place the crime on him, all because of his shoes. "It seems like your uncle has always had it in for me," Corey tells Harlow. "I think that he thinks I still have a thing for you, and so he wants to get rid of me." Harlow says David wouldn't go as far as accusing Corey of committing a crime just for that reason, but Corey points out that what happened with Gareth was quite extreme. Harlow concedes that Corey might have a point and assures him that she believes his innocence. Corey's glad, because if David takes matters to the police he could get deported and then Harlow wouldn't have him looking after her anymore.
Later that evening, Corey pours himself and Harlow a glass of wine, making sure to lace hers with drugs. He apologises to her if he was being too harsh on David earlier, but Harlow just hopes it was all a big misunderstanding.
COREY: If he didn't come at me the way he did I could have told him you and I were having lunch the day the vandalism happened.
HARLOW: No, we had lunch the day Ned left.
COREY: No it was the day Amy's truck got trashed. You're getting your days mixed up.
HARLOW: Am I?
COREY: I don't blame you. You've been under the weather since fashion week.
He encourages her to have a lie down on the couch and relax. Harlow asks if he's sure about the day of the lunch date, as it seems weird she didn't mention it when Amy initially accused her. But Corey says that everyone struggles to remember details when they're stressed. As he's talking to Harlow, he notices that Terese has sent her a text about another catch up and promptly deletes it.
Community Centre Exterior
The next morning Corey meets with Christabel by Sonya's mural and gives her an update about what happened with David. Christabel wonders if it will be a problem, but Corey says he can get David off his back with Harlow's help.
COREY: The drugs are certainly helping with that.
CHRISTABEL: Good. I know it's not always the easiest option but sometimes it's for the best. What about the potential new follower?
COREY: Her life is a bit of a shambles at the moment. She's broke, unemployed, potential legal problems. She's putting on a very brave face but she's really hanging by a thread, poor thing.
CHRISTABEL: Well, the sooner we can save her the better.
Corey notices Freya walking into the Community Centre and points her out to Christabel, who is quite pleased. "I look forward to welcoming her into the Order," she smiles.
Ramsay Street
Toadie tells Melanie he's sorry about their disrupted plans last night, but Melanie's too excited about showing him a change she's made to the van. Toadie looks slightly worried about what Amy will think, which proves correct when Amy bounds outside to join them and is immediately horrified. We discover that Mel has added her portrait to the van and changed the name to 'The Drinks Divas'. Amy complains that Mel's made too many changes lately that she doesn't agree with, but Melanie says this was supposed to be a nice thing to mark their new beginning as business partners. "I can't even look at it," Amy sulks, before heading back inside. Melanie's upset too, but Toadie doesn't help matters when he chooses to follow Amy inside instead of comfort Mel.
Harold's Café
David wants to chat with Harlow about Corey, but Harlow insists he had nothing to do with the van. David then asks how Harlow's keychain ended up near the van. "I was on Ramsay Street, I dropped it and someone took advantage," Harlow reasons. David can't help wondering if that 'someone' could be Corey.
HARLOW: No because we were at lunch together.
DAVID: You've never mentioned that before.
HARLOW: What's the point? Amy wouldn't have believed me, no one would have.
DAVID: I don't think you did it, but it does look like someone's trying to set you up.
HARLOW: All right, if you're looking for someone who actually wants to hurt me, what about Katrina? The woman at Lassiters - we think she was behind the footage of me and Ned at the fashion show. She's obviously disturbed. Come on, why would it be Corey when he's the only person who wants to hang out with me right now?
David says that's not true, reminding Harlow they invited her to dinner the other night and Corey was the one who stopped proceedings. David invites her to come and hang out with him and Isla right now, but Harlow's fed up with the constant Corey accusations and declines.
Community Centre
Levi brings by a box full of donations that he rounded up from everyone at the station. Freya's pleased that Levi went to the effort and they share a nice moment together before he leaves. Once he's gone, Christabel looks through a rack of clothes and strikes up a conversation with Freya. She asks if this is Freya's full time job and says she's in the same boat when Freya admits she's between gigs at the moment. Things are chugging along normally, until Christabel goes from 1-100 in the realms of normal chit chat.
CHRISTABEL: I've been going to this coaching group. It's really good, it's all about finding your purpose and carving out new paths. It's actually been really, really insightful.
FREYA: (wary) Sounds great.
CHRISTABEL: Well it's open to everyone. I could take you to the next one if you like?
FREYA: (smiling but on alert) Oh thanks, I um, I might be a bit busy here. But thank you.
CHRISTABEL: I would love to get involved here. Do any spots need filling?
FREYA: Jarrod Rebecchi, he runs the centre. I think you can find his details online.
CHRISTABEL: Great, well I'm sure I'll see you around.
Freya looks weirded out by the interaction as she walks away.
Number 30
Melanie asks Toadie if Amy's okay, and Toadie says she's cooling off with a walk to Harold's. Mel still doesn't understand what she did wrong, but Toadie says it's probably because she didn't run the idea by Amy first. "I own half the business!" Melanie says. "It's only fair my picture should be on the van too." Toadie says she's right, but this idea might have needed just a smidge more communication.
MELANIE: Well the problem is Amy's always caught up in some sort of drama and there's never any time to discuss anything.
TOADIE: She's not always like that.
MELANIE: Maybe, but it's what I've dealt with since I've come on board.
TOADIE: I'm sure things will get better. But in the mean time maybe just be a bit more sensitive towards Amy.
MELANIE: For goodness sakes! She has left me to run that van on my own! Now I'm the bad guy who needs to play nicer?
TOADIE: Woah, no, I didn't say that.
MELANIE: No, but you're hardly seeing it from my side. I really didn't think that I would have to beg you to do that.
Irritated with Toadie, Melanie grabs her handbag and leaves the house.
The Waterhole
Levi is eating lunch, minding his own business, when Melanie strides up to him asking for help in dealing with Amy.
LEVI: Melanie, no offence, but you and I don't really know each other that well and now you want me to start dishing on my ex?
MELANIE: Amy is pushing me out of my own relationship.
LEVI: (murmuring) Okay, straight to it.
MELANIE: I never had a problem with her moving back in with Toadie, but now he's taking her side in arguments and she seems closer to him than I am.
LEVI: Yeah well they have been close forever.
MELANIE: But the other day when Wendy came around she mistook us all for polyamorous.
LEVI: Yikes. Um, is your problem with Amy or with Toadie?
MELANIE: Well she's the one who keeps putting herself between the two of us.
LEVI: Yeah but Toadie's your partner. He should put you first no matter what Amy's up to.
MELANIE: You are so right!
Mel thanks him and rushes out.
Harold's Café
Chloe tells Harlow that they're falling behind at work with Katrina still on suspension and asks if she can clean floors two and three that afternoon. Harlow appears muddled, and has to not only ask what happened with Katrina (when it was literally just mentioned), but needs clarification on the floor numbers too. Chloe looks very concerned.
Number 30 Sunroom
Amy returns from her walk and admits to Toadie she overreacted about the van. Toad says he understands, but he's not the one she needs to apologise to. Melanie walks out with two cocktails and Amy tells her she was being over the top in her response and she's sorry.
AMY: In saying that though I wish you'd cleared it with me because we're supposed to be partners.
MELANIE: That's what I thought too. Funny how I've been left to run the van, get it fixed and manage all the stock.
AMY: Well I've had a lot going on.
MELANIE: I know. But that doesn't give you the right to complain and criticise while I do all the work.
Amy says Mel's right and thinks a cocktail will fix all their woes, but Melanie tells her she actually made them for herself and Toadie because they need to have a word. Amy leaves them to it and Toadie becomes worried when Mel explains she's named the drink 'The Truth Bomb'.
Lassiters Hotel Foyer
Harlow is looking very tired at the front desk when Corey finds her. She tells him she ran into David earlier and tried to explain they were at lunch the day of the van crime. "You were right, I think this whole Gareth thing has changed him," she adds. "I don't want him coming after you." Corey is pleased. He spies David through the window, on his way to the hotel, and tells Harlow she should get back to work. David walks in just as Corey's ushered Harlow into the elevator.
DAVID: Was that Harlow in there?
COREY: Why do you need to know?
DAVID: I don't need a reason, she's my niece.
COREY: She told me about your run in earlier. I'd prefer it if you didn't upset her while she's at work, if that's all the same with you.
DAVID: (annoyed) I'll find her later.
Number 30 Sunroom
Mel tells Toadie that she knew what she was getting herself into when she started a relationship with him - a busy lawyer and a single dad. "I wanted to be the one you have fun and relax with," she adds, but she can't even do that since Amy's moved back in. Toadie knows he hasn't made Mel a priority lately and he's sorry. Mel says she feels bad even complaining about all this because she knows how much Amy's needed his help, but Toadie wants to know exactly how Melanie's feeling.
MELANIE: I feel like Amy's pushing us apart.
TOADIE: Wow, okay, I didn't realise she upset you that much.
MELANIE: I didn't say anything sooner because it felt petty.
TOADIE: No your feelings are more than valid, okay. I would never discount them.
MELANIE: Thank you, because I don't know how much more of this I can take. You value Amy more than you do me. And I won't put up with it anymore.
Number 22
Chloe tells Terese she's got a real pep in her step lately and thinks unemployment is doing her wonders. Terese smirks and says it's not entirely down to that - she may have had help from someone else. The real reason Chloe has called by, though, is to share her concerns about Harlow. Terese is relieved that someone else has noticed her odd behaviour too. Terese tells Chloe that she's had trouble even catching up with Harlow lately. Chloe thinks the obvious answer is that Harlow's overwhelmed and they need to keep a closer eye on her.
Storage Room
Corey joins Christabel in a dark, creepy basement/cellar room somewhere. Corey says that he took care of things with David, and Harlow's still on the right path. "Next step, conversion therapy," he smiles, then asks how things are progressing with Freya.
CHRISTABEL: I hit a slight bump in the road.
COREY: Will we still be needing a second bed for her?
CHRISTABEL: Of course. When have I ever let a potential recruit slip away from the light?
The camera pans out to show that Christabel has been tying ropes to a bed post, ready to hold Harlow and Freya captive.
