- Levi telling Kyle that Freya is keeping her distance.
- Kyle warning Levi he should do the same thing to her!
- Clive telling Freya that the Coroner needs more information for the investigation.
- Chloe scathing of Freya.
- Levi explaining Coroner procedures to Freya.
- Chloe trying to sell an idea to Terese.
- Nicolette telling her mum she will get over her holiday romance.
- Glen admitting that Kiri is his daughter...and unsure how to tell Kiri that news.
- Kiri turning up at Number 22!
Kiri hopes her turning up isn't weird - she's been worried for everyone over what happened at River Bend and wanted to check in. It turns out its purely coincidental why she's at #22, Glen's details were the only ones she had. Glen confirms everyone is well "considering" other than Aaron, who is in hospital with a brain injury. Kiri doesn't plan to go visit Aaron but plans to send him some flowers instead.
Glen then gets very nervous when Kiri says there was another reason she is in town!
Kyle is working on the tram paperwork when Levi and Freya argue over setting up their coffee bill and he bluntly asks since Gareth has been found, why is she still around! He doesn't like her initial reply of everyone is being friendly, so rather than elaborate, she walks away instead.
Levi isn't impressed at his cousin and quickly runs after her to apologise and wishes Kyle would "get over it!" She gets why Kyle is like that - he is protective of Levi (even if Levi doesn't need protecting) and instead changes the conversation to Levi talking through with her what happens with the Coroner investigation.
LEVI: I live to give, you should know that by now!
Chloe then runs into the pair when she enters the bar and is very cool with Freya (not gone unnoticed) when they start chatting before eventually parting company. When she gets to the counter, Kyle wants to know if there is a trial period for Freya at #24 (no, it's a month- to- month thing). Chloe admits it's not ideal having Freya around the house and given that response, Kyle wants her to action getting Freya out!
Glen looks very relieved that it isn't him Kiri is in town for, but Nicolette! She seeks his thoughts whether to pursue things or not, and he all but kicks her out of the house to go set those wheels in motion!
"Better than yesterday," is how Aaron describes himself when Freya asks how he's doing on entering his room. She's really after a word but David but can see it isn't the time.
Chloe arrives in time to hear Freya praise Aaron for being "so brave" even if that has resulted in him ending up in hospital. "That's Gareth's fault, that's not yours," he is quick to point out but all that does is make Freya feel guilty for Gareth being near him because of her. She is sincerely thankful though at Aaron not doing a runner (for the situation he found himself in).
FREYA: I'm never going to forget it.
AARON: I'd do it again, you know that. I mean, I've though it over and if I had the chance, I'd do everything the same. So, if you're feeling guilty, stop. It was my choice.
FREYA: Thank you.
The words Freya and Aaron have both said seem to be resonating with Chloe before she gets an urgent SOS from Terese to come to the Lassiters rooftop.
Chloe arrives as summoned by Terese ahead of a last meeting with Montana's assistant. Who they aren't expecting though is Mick... who of course turns out to be Montana's assistant, going way back apparently!
TERESE: Oh no!
Mick can't but help gloat that this time they are going to be running after him instead of the other way around!
Nicolette is happy surprised to see Kiri when she gets ready to out for a run. Kiri admits she can't but stop thinking of what happened between them [at River Bend] and asks Nicolette out for a proper date! "I would love that," Nicolette replies and plans to take Kiri to a "really romantic winery" that she knows.
Neither Terese or Chloe can believe that Mick is indeed Montana's assistant, Terese having had it confirmed. "What can we do to convince you," Terese asks and first on the agenda is a masseur for his stiff neck!
Aaron looks relived to be alone with David, all the visitors having departed. The words Freya said have resonated with both of them and they both tell the other one that they "love you."
Leo jokes that Glen should stuff up more often given he's got all the issues sorted out and has even managed to get some extra bookings too!
The confident Glen quickly disappears though the moment Nicolette and Kiri walk in the door! Nicolette does the intros with Leo and turns out the pair have distillation in common (Kiri's grandpa distils grappa) and so he invites Kiri to the forthcoming barrel bash.
As Mick gets his requested massage, the ladies start their pitch but he's too engrossed with said massage to pay any attention to what they are actually saying!
Nervous Glen is in full swing as he tries to tend to Kiri and Nicolette, so much so that at one point, Leo is forced to step in and take over!
Nicolette jokes they should use their lunch as a tax break since they both work in hospitality! However it appears that what happened with the RSRs at River Bend has forced the hand of Kiri's parents to sell up. Kiri is interested in a total change which may include moving to Erinsborough...at that point Glen drops the bread he was taking to the ladies!
Terese and Chloe are still falling over backwards to charm Mick to get the Montana contract. Eventually Chloe decides enough is enough and bluntly asks Mick, "what do you want from us?!" The strong arm tactics looks to have won as he agrees to pencil in a meeting with Montana, however he does warn that they will need his help to impress her!
Glen is telling Terese about the visitors to the winery when guess who turn up outside Harold's! The pair of them are very much getting on like a house on fire although Glen hopes that it "fizzles out...fast."
Terese: In the meantime?
GLEN: I'll just keep my distance.
Kyle watches on from the other side of the bar as Chloe chats with Freya. It looks like the conversation Chloe heard at the hospital has gotten to her, and indeed, despite what Kyle thought, she isn't going to kick Freya out of #24!
CHLOE: There's more to her than I realised.
At least one Canning is happy with Freya - Levi, relieved that she not just talking to him but is trusting him too. The other Canning is as you'd expect unhappy at Chloe letting Freya stay on and even Roxy says that he needs to "let go of this." Kyle thinks its so he can protect Levi but again is told that "he can handle himself." Indeed Roxy wants that if Kyle doesn't turn down "the Freya hate," it might cause trouble between Levi and himself, especially if Levi hooks up with Freya.
Kiri drops by to give Glen something for being on edge (which she puts it down to what happened at River Bend) - a bracelet full of beats (taken from her wrist) that he can count when he gets nervous. "That's really thoughtful," he sincerely thanks her with, and Kiri is happy he likes the pressie.
As they chat, he subtly gets from her that she's hanging around a bit longer, well at least for dinner, because she likes Nicolette.
KIRI: I hope I'll be see more of you. You're a good person. I need more of those in my life.
Freya finally gets her word with David - she tells him about the coroners investigation into Gareth's death and so they will both need to be re- interviewed by the police. She's quick to add in that "its not a big deal" concluded after chatting with Levi, as he said the investigation "is pretty standard."
FREYA: We'll just need to go through our version of events one more time and then we can put this whole thing behind us for good.
David isn't quite as confident as she is, and even Freya is forced to admit "it's overwhelming."
FREYA: But this is the very last step.
DAVID: Maybe for you. What I did that day, it showed me who I really am, and I don't think I'll ever be able to move past it.
FREYA: Hey, well stay calm and we'll stick to the story and then we can just deal with the rest later. Is that okay?
As the pair chatted, someone else seemed keen on their conversation - Kyle!
Glen has taken what Kiri said about needing good people in her life, and so wanted her "to know the truth."
GLEN: Not everyone around here is who you think they are.
KIRI: (confused) What do you mean?
GLEN: Its not easy being honest about someone, not that that's an excuse. I should have told you before... Nicolette's got you fooled! She's not worth sticking around for if you knew what she'd done to people.
Kiri now looks utterly confused after hearing that from Glen, but he's not finished.
GLEN: She's a user and a liar.
